- Apparently pitseleh is a Yiddish word meaning "little one."
Lyrics:
I'll tell you why I don't want to know where you are
I got a joke I've been dying to tell you
The silent kid is looking down the barrel
To make the noise that I kept so quiet
I kept it from you, pitseleh
I'm not what's missing from your life now
I could never be the puzzle pieces
They say that god makes problems just to see what you can stand
Before you do as the devil pleases
And give up the thing you love
But no one deserves it
The first time I saw you, I knew it would never last
I'm not half what I wish I was
I'm so angry, I don't think it'll ever pass
And I was bad news for you, just because
I never meant to hurt you
A special thanks to Andrew for helping me record and letting me use his equipment.
Dude this is really good, i'm so glad you're uploading
This is the song I will be listening to as I enter heaven
That’s a really amazing cover. For my opinion you’re really understands Elliott’s character and it shows in the songs you pick to cover and how you delivers them. I really hope you’ll do more songs of him! I literally discovered you five minutes ago literally! You deserves a lot more recognition. I’ll be glad if you’ll do Christian brothers.
Your covers are really faithful to his original recordings, so you have a great ear for his style! I try to make my covers as faithful as I can but I'm nowhere near your level of precision so great job.
This is a really good cover and I really like your voice its Effortless.
You fucking destroyed it! Love the vocals too my god. Most of the other covers don't get the interlude part right on guitar with the finger picking. Seriously nice job!!
Awesome cover! This is my favorite elliott smith song and I absolutely love listening to your version. I'm also curious how long it took you to learn the melodic bridge parts, cuz I'm working on that now and I can't quite figure out how he plays it
I slowed down his live versions to figure out how to play it. The good thing is it’s the same chords as the verse, the only change is the open high e that rings out during the F#/D chord. The order of the strings picked is 6-2-3-1-6-2.
1 refers to the high e string.
your voice is perfect for this song
I love it!
This is really good !
beautiful!
great cover dude :)
your version is brutal
tabs? good cover, and amazing voice. keep doing covers man!
Hey mate, I love the cover. Can I check what tuning you had this in as a I know Elliott often tuned his guitar down? I'm gonna try and learn from watching this
How long have you been playing?
Sean Fernandez oh its no wonder then all that hard work paid off. I want to be as good as you you one day.
I love the lyrics
