Dax has never been lacking belief. Yes he WAS questioning God in his song “Dear God”, but the main message/goal of this song was to express pain that we as people are going through on daily basis, that there are a lot of evil and that we need Him in more “hands on” manner. Also he pointed both at the beginning and at the end of the song that he is believer. I highly recommend doing a reaction of this song. :)
Same here I listened to both today they both definitely hit home
Book of Revelations is also a good choice when you listen to them in the proper order.
He never questioned god’s existence he questioned the people who made the bible and push a message with no proof. And are blatantly lying to control people.
Glory of Jesus Christ bless you all
I was a hindu but god has saved me from drakness and the feeling that I got in Christianity can't be expressed in words.I love my brothers and sisters
Amen
I love Dax, he isnt afraid to speak the truth about alot of topics that so many artists wont,
about metnal health, faith, the damage "mainstream rap" is doing to culture,
Great reaction
Great reaction new sub. Dax has several songs in this lane it's Dear God, Books of Revelations, Apocalypse, and Child of God. He's always been a believer but these songs are just the progress that he went through so he put these songs out not as a confused person
❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love these discussions. You guys are great, and as a growing Christian I learn a little more scripture from your videos
His song "Dear God" wasn't a lack of belief but more of an expression of a period of his faith and struggles
yes it was him speaking to god as a father as everyone should try to do. he wasn't insulting or saying god doesnt exist he was just asking questions like a kid to his father.
“Theocracy- I Am” requesting this awesome band and song and the comment helps the UA-cam algorithm too
That is an amazing song!
@@danielstabler8097 yes, I really believe pastor Rob and Gauge would really enjoy it
Agreed! Theocracy is great! I really like those guys a whole lot.
Yes!
awsome song
I've been busy and fell way behind on your videos but I'm catching back up! Love every single one of them! I'm happy to see you two are still going strong!
I'd like to put in a couple requests to maybe hear your take on the songs:
1. Alone In A Room - Asking Alexandria
2. Waking Lions - Pop Evil
Dear God was Dax questioning things …Dear God is being studied in many college theology courses across the globe and Child Of God was more of a statement and sharing his journey to this point. Dax is all about positivity and making a difference and does not care about getting views, but leading by example. Dax does not speak about religion but spirituality…Check out Dear God and Book of Revelation from Dax and you can see his growth and we are ALL a work in progress, not just Dax! You are assuming a lot without knowing anything about Dax and his journey… he does many styles, so he’s not categorized as a rapper. God lives inside all of us because we are his children, so we should look inside ourselves to see God
Nothing supports your claims
When Dax says, "in order to see God, at first, we must look within." I believe that is not technically wrong since you got to look at your own self and dive into your own thoughts and beliefs in order to want to reach out to God. Then we will truly get to see him for what he is.
it think you're partially right but i also think he is of the belief that the bible is a flawed piece of human literature and that to find him you have to look inside through prayer to find a personal relationship and he also probably of the relatively comen belief that we are a part of god as he is a part of us
not saying that is correct or particularly christian
@@sexylexy22100 I could see that outlook too. But I know he truly believes and I don't think he is saying the bible is completely flawed.
Lol. You can tell Gauge had on sunglasses when y'all was pulling parts for his truck. Sunburnt every where but around his eyes. Lol
I do kit know DAX personally, the day I learned of him, his lyrics music and why he has felt or wrote the beautiful piece he has I wanted to know so I put the time in to research all of his writings and work and I was so great full and glad I did.
This is my first time seeing this/your channel but I would definitely recommend listening to and learning his work before listening to this piece so that you can know more about him, his work and how he has grown CUZ he has definitely helped me to look at and understand certain things in a different way. HES AN AMAZING ARTIST
I love this
Awesome analysis and your message was GREAT! Thank y'all for spreading His word and God bless! LOVEJESUS
No-one seems to get it
But the part he says, "Spread wings like eagles." Is a reference to Isaiah 40:39
And he spit all them bars without cussing once !!
It's an interesting idea about an actor portraying Jesus in a show where other actors are portraying worship. It seems to me that anyone who does have a problem with this would also have a problem with, say, Jim Caviezel portraying Jesus in "Passion of the Christ" or Diogo Morgado in "Son of God" or whoever voiced God in Cecil B Demille's "The Ten Commandments"? That's fine if someone does have an issue, but these movies are pretty widely appreciated and even beloved in the broader Christian community.
It seems to me that "carving an image" is not a violation of the 2nd Commandment if there's no idolatry. For some textual references around this, we can look at the crafting that was done contemporary to the giving of the 10 Commandments such as Cherubim on the mercy seat of the ark (Exodus 25), the golden lampstand which had almond blossoms cast into it (Exodus 25), and pomegranates on the priestly robes (Exodus 28). We can also look at the crafting done later on the first temple, which included palm trees, Cherubim, pomegranates, gourds, oxen, and lions (1 Kings 7).
All that said, I am also hesitant about the extent of our imagery in Christianity today. For example, one wonders if some venerate and worship the cross rather than the One who died on it, or the Bible rather than the One who spoke it. They're fine lines and I won't cause disunity over it, but definitely feeling that same caution as you Pastor Rob.
Keep up the great work, my brothers! Praying for you
This is the third in a trilogy. First is child of God. Second is Book of Revelations. The Devils Calling has a religious angle to it. I love Gods Eyes. Dax helped bring me to God. Reaction was fire. 🔥🔥🔥
The way I understand the second commandment is that it goes with the 1st. The idea of no images deals with worshiping false idols. You guys explained it well!
Still requesting this:
If I Were You - Faithless.
If I Were You - Never There.
Would love for you to hear this amazing talented band and preach to these lyrics.
Hello Pastor can you please elaborate on this 19:17 what do you mean by that? thanks.
1st let's go thank you Jesus for another day here on Mother earth. 🙏
God's earth
May I recommend Ill mind of hopsin 7? It goes into deep detail about he's frustration with god
@9minutes you talked about not making an image of God; prefacing “me personally” numerous times. Understand that the New Testament has made an image to represent God in Jesus Christ. The images of the crucifix, fish, and even Jesus, himself would be contradictory in themselves. I understand the commandments, but even when asked which of the commandments is the most vital, Jesus replies to love the Lord with whole heart, mind, and soul. And the next most important is to love others as yourself (Matthew 22, Mark 12) which is later reaffirmed by Paul in Galatians 6 as we are to carry each other’s burdens, in love. What Dax is talking about in his lyricism is promoting just that. What Dax promotes is love and compassion for all, just as Jesus called all to be. And if Dax promotes this, then what good is he to Samael; does not a house divided fall (Matthew 12)? He directly credits Christ to his life and salvation, if not in lyricism, then directly by the universally accepted image of Christ (cross, lamb, etc). Even if he was not, does Paul not write to the Romans, “Who are you to criticize another’s household slave? Before his own Lord he stands or falls. And he will stand. For the Lord is able to make him stand.”
14:4 HCSB. These reaction videos are great, but show that we are all still off the mark. If any of this does not resonate, take a break and pray for discernment, if it still does not sit well, then that is the discernment that God has given you.
We were all created in Gods image. Doesn’t state the “Jew or the gentile was created in Gods image”; NIV even states “Then God said, ‘let US make mankind in OUR image, in OUR likeness…” Genesis 1:26. And a variation in at least 12 of the different versions of the text including HCSB, AMP, and even KJV. Seems like there is a lot more to discuss about the division within the church than a man trying to pull more people to the lord of hosts.
🖖👽🤙
I always enjoy hearing what guys have to say.
Have you heard the new song from Death Therapy? It's called "The Silence of God". I would love to hear what you guys think of it.
Thank you guys for doing what you do.
I found the video and discussion thought provoking and revealing to me as a Christian navigating my way through life. I would like to hear more from Gauge's perspective in future videos to help me see things from a younger person's perspective.
Great review as always :) I haven’t heard a thing about Kanye West since he went on Joe Rogan’s podcast. Wonder if he is still walking with the Lord. Would be interesting to hear a review of some of his recent material if he has released anything recently.
Looking inside ourselves to find God is not how we do it. For our hearts are desperately wicked.
I think what he was going for when he said look within, was maybe talking about recognizing your own sin and yourself as who you are. Maybe he just didn't articulate it well. (and then after I typed this, the point was brought up lol)
Right here in my arms by HIM
on the carved images would you say its wrong to have a cross necklace?
I just need to point out that dear God was his way of voicing peoples frustrations and struggles and their anger towards God at times, it wasn't him denying God it was him relating to others
The Manifold of Christ is far more complex than I know I could ever begin to hope to comprehend.
I'm at the age of 45 and this was the very first rap song that I liked in all my years since the 80's when the rap scene really hit.....I always thought rap was trash and immoral...but this was a refreshing change...hope this message spreads
You should listen to NF. Songs like I’ll Keep On and Oh Lord are quite a refreshing change
Have you ever listened to the rapper Jelly Roll? He has a song called House of Cards. Many of his songs have strong religious references. If nothing else, these types of songs make you think and can allow for a conversation to share different viewpoints.
Dear God is really a great song and this is a really great song dax is a great artist
Since the different genres train is still rolling, I'll make my usual request for Bad Religion's Skyscraper, which is a secular take on the biblical Tower of Babel story. It would be interesting to hear an opinion on this band, since everything from their logo to their name is basically an anti-theist attack on organized religion
If I did not look within, I would have never re-evaluated leaving my faith when I was a child after bearing witness to fraud within the church and a false pastor. By looking within, not to be like God, but to evaluate ourselves, and silence our racing thoughts, so we can listen outward for God, do we find God and have a relationship with him. I have recently over the past year, been rebuilding my faith and am also a work in progress. God has really made his presence known over the past two years to me, which in time I could no longer ignore him and listen. Since I have let God back into my life, he has given me many blessings through several deep struggles in which I had to face and fight through. Can I blurt out any bible scripture at random? Absolutely not! That is not what makes one Christian. It is the relationship between yourself and God and listening to His guidance and attempting to live your life in a righteous way, not to mention character, that will bring more people to him. I have learned people do not listen to one who just preaches, they will shun them. They listen to those and join those who lead by example (walk the walk, not just talk to talk). I must make a statement about your judgment and making fun of DAX. Does it really matter if he is related to a "mainstream" rapper? If he were, should he be shunned for it, even though his message is of faith and in opposition of the so called relative? Shouldn't you focus on the message and God? Better yet, why not ask DAX for an interview discussing the meaning behind the "looking within" part instead of letting prejudice speak out in ignorance.
You should really look into Mesus. He’s a phenomenal hip hop artist that brings an interesting perspective on his beliefs in God
Ever song makes he gets tattoo so think he great man this song hit really home
Please do Behemoth O Father, O Satan, O Sun I would love to see your reaction to the visuals and your take on Nergals lyricism
Great video, your videos are amazing keep up the great work. You should react to Eighty One - Noble, super clean and raw vocals with a deeper message I'm unsure of, would love some of your input on it. Also Crown Of Thorns - For Today is an amazing song that will give you goosebumps.
Pastor Rob It would mean a lot of you respond to this. I grew up catholic and one main thing I never understood was the false idol thing. In Catholicism they pray to Mary and have statues of saints as well as pray to saints. I no longer consider myself a Catholic for that reason and many others. I do still believe in God and Jesus but I do not believe in organized religion because I think human error has misinterpreted things like this example of Catholicism. Additionally I think dear God by dax seemed to be targeting organized modern day religion rather than a disbelief in God. What are your thoughts on this topic?
Please react to DAX Dear God! This was an amazing reaction and you’ve earned a new subscriber. I’ve watched many pastors react to the Dear God video and they’ve missed the complete concept of the message in what he’s saying! Dear God isn’t a cry out to God but a Prayer to God as communication for his pain and what he’s feeling deep. Please react to the Song
You need to listen to W.A.S.P. song Golgotha. They went from being crazy to now Blackie Lawless who came back to the faith. You will not be disappointed, he is the most underrated metal singer going.
Dax is a great rapper, so this was a good choice! Please do a react to 'Architects - Broken Cross'. I'll get through eventually. ;)
Fin by Anberlin would be a great song. It's about not questioning God, but unfortunately sometimes those who carry on in his name.
Please react to Underoath - Hallelujah, it was released this week and it's sounded weird to me since they used to be a "christian band"
I haven't finished listening to your comments yet, but I think I was hearing some little gods theology which is bad theology. Maybe he wasn't, but it sounded like it.
Hopsins Ill Mind 7 would be a great counterbalance to this song
Memphis May Fire - Blood & Water, The Sinner, No Ordinary Love
It does sound like he could be born again now and put his faith into Christ. I noticed just as you that he had some theological errors of coarse, but if he's a new believer then I shouldn't be a surprise. Kind of like when he said "we are God" and and looking within etc. We are God sounded like Christ consciousness, which is very new age. But other than that it seems legit ha. Still a Good song overall.
But doesn't the book say that we are children of God
Can you guys please react to the chosen?? It’s such a good show and I know you would love it!!
We are not all God's children according to John 1:12
True
Lol. We are all gods children. We are born pure from any hate. Unfortunately some may grow up in bad situations that they have to sin lets say. Stealing to feed there family because they are starving. Among many other situations. Dosent me God don't love them any less or they don't love God.
Chewing the stitch by Oh Sleeper, great song.
Good stuff guys. Keep on.
You need to react to Hopsin - Ill Mind of Hopsin 7

You need to react to the video "If Chic-fil-a Did Delivery".
You guys should do "The Peaceful Beauty of Brutal Justice" by Tourniquet. It's a Christian song but it is super scary an a need to listen to.
Sure, but if you want a good ol' Christian time check out
Deathspell Omega - Sola Fide I
Beautiful song!!!
Hey guys, could you react to some P.O.D. songs? Truly Amazing, Satellite, Goodbye For Now, etc.
Please do Oh Sleeper. Son of the morning followed by The finisher.
Are not people worshiping the Cross? Are not people worshiping statues of the Virgin Mary? Are not people worshiping all types of representations of Jesus? I'm confused.
Inside The Fire by Disturbed, video & lyrics make for great discussion.
Ill mind of hopsin 7 you’ll thank me later. It’s a song that’s him having a conversation with god
The man you referenced saying the heart is an idol factory. ANY who's heart is not about God is fixed on one idol or another
Blue October's song "hate me" please! Thanks!
You guys should react to Slaughter to Prevail-“Baba Yaga”
We are no longer bound by the law. We live in grace. Not that we should sin freely, God forbid. Christ fulfilled the

IMMORTAL BY LORNA SHORE PLEASE
You need to do Eiley by too close touch. Look up the story behind it to get the full context. Just a warning it will make you cry
Dear God was not questioning God but he was questioning modern day religion. Book of revelations is awesome by dax as well. I hope you give it a second chance.
Repent of your sins and believe in the gospel so you can be saved nothing and no one else can save you the Bible predicted everything that’s happening rn it’s not enough to say you believe you have to live a life submissive to the will of God and following Jesus daily with your own cross Love you.
Sorry Pastor but only Protestants are using Sola Scriptura. Most Christians RC and Orthodox (The True Faith) aren't using the Scriptures alone. Secondly most RC and Orthodox view Protestants, Anglicans etc... as false Christians so please don't say stuffs like if you don't believe in Scriptures alone you're not Christian. Also sorry English is not my first language
I tune in whenever I can, thanks for what you guys do.
Also, Goodbye To Gravity "The Day We Die"
Underoath- Act of Depression
You guys should react to "Story" by NF 🖤✌🏼
Please react to Deicide, Blame it on God. It would certainly create discussion. This request is made with the upmost respect. Shout out from Ireland. Great channel
