You can put air bags in place of the front coil springs. For the dash I use to pull it out get a can of spray glue and put whatever cool fabric I picked out just laying it on and cutting and folding the edges . My old SB was all zebra print.
Straight up awesomeness! Lovin the sqr body plus anyone can do their style and it’s still a SB ! Waiting on next week’s appointment 😅 with y’all. Scott. Metro Atlanta
I did a flip kit on the rear and when we were done we got thirsty,so we popped the tail lights on the frame and ended up in a watering hole down the road,it was myself and 2 buddys who went there and when we were leaving they kept telling me to see if it would hookup with no bed, well lets just say it hooked up ok and ended up breaking the drive shaft and i had to have my truck towed home, thank God i had a buddy who came meet us and drag my truck for me.
You can get a fiberglass cowl scoop for the hood they’re pretty cheap. Also I would get small baby moon hubcaps instead of a Chevy or GMC for those 20 inch rims.
@SethHollingshead fiberglass repair kit or fiberglass resin with some fleece, and we'd do door panels, kick panels, and we did and still do this to other parts of interiors with this method. We been doing this for close to 30 yeara
My dad the service manager at Chevy dealer call it a Generic Made Chevy. He also said he’d get new Chevy trucks with GMC tailgates on them. When he was doing this in the 80s he told me that they built both trucks on the same line.
The "C " notches are for suspension travel when you load the bed........ It gives you the suspension travel when you corner or go down the road and you got bumps etc
Exactly! Using that post while lowering the lift is not safe. Corey, remember when a new truck almost fell on you off of a lift? And we wonder why. We DO NOT want y'all to get hurt!
I use automatic transmission fluid and acetone 50/50 mix to spray on rusted bolts and nuts. The acetone eats the rust and the atf works as a thin lubricant to work into the threads.
I've done a lot of GM suspension work in my life... Next time leave the spindle assembly attached to the upper arm. Use a wire and hang the upper A arm from the frame and loosen the lower ball joint nut. Remove shock and sway bar from lower arm. Use a floor jack to compress and get the lower ball joint nut loose and then release pressure and the lower arm will swing down so the spring can come out. Half the work half the time and safer.
If you ever need chevy sheet metal let me know too. Sale that Thang. God I'm doing one now. Idk just not crazy about them. The metal is thin the roof is sooooo flimsy. It's like 10 Guage alllll around. Anyways love u guys. Doing a good job. Hotttt wife too lol u lucky. Came a long way since 2yrs ago I started following when u hit her viking with a fork lift lol.
Well Hannah was fired up, GMC hub caps and big nipples lol. The stance on the square body is great and the white steelies and tires make a big difference. Oh, can't wait to see the color change on the truck.
You lowered it more than you think , you just put on larger tires. If they where on for first measurement it would have be higher in front Measure the height difference between the 2 sets of tires and add that to your 1 1/2 ...it will be closer to the rear measurement
I know Louisiana has a head light height,i had a chevy luv that was slammed and had a full snug and had a walk through cab with 4 15s in a wall and on the weekends we would pull the rubber bump stops off and it would pick up road reflectors and lets just say, roadkill got to be a problem at times too lmao
Your rear drop is the total of the flip kit and shorter rear tires. Easier to measure at the center of the wheel to the fender lip. 1/2 coil cut up front is usually 1” drop. Not to be critical,… but you should have watched some UA-cam videos on doing this. There are tons of videos out there to do it safer and easier.
I watch a UA-camr called pudding's Fab shop and he has jacks he puts on the each end of his vehicle when it's on that racket stabilize it That's what you guys need
Sorry wish I could messaged sooner! One full coil equals I think two inches. And I had to drop my sway bar. And shock. And for future reference could spring clamps are far more dangerous that getting everything out of the way. Love your show
Cory you missed your calling singing and dancing at 45:52. I discovered your channel a couple weeks ago. And I must say y’all make a great team and I love watching
Iv cut springs so many times. Its fine..lowering spring has less give alot if the times and most times its a better rude up to 2 full coils...i had an 02 2dr blaze i cut 2 coils and 4"pinion angled blocks rear..gosh it rode like a caddy.
Looks great guys. You can only get a true measurement if you put the other wheels on. That’s how you took your first measurement. The new wheels were larger.
Front coils have a “D” shaped pocket up in the crossmember that has to be indexed for the coil to set all the way down. I never worry how it sets in the control arm. You really need a taller coil spring and a drop spindle. Front bump stops need to be cut down or removed. And shorter front shocks and rear shock extensions for better shock angle and travel with a stock length rear shock. You can make these truck ride good , but you have to do more than you did in this video.
Invest in some adjustable pole jacks you’ll use them time and time again, worth the investment for safety and convenience. Cory is very fortunate to have an amazing life partner, authentic the two of you working together in the shop.
I love the wheels and caps with the lowered look.
Miss Hanna that is so fun bad ass building square shorty, so cool trucks , love project you two.

Nice move in lowering the square body. The stance is great.
Thanks for sharing with us.
Great video! I learned a lot, mostly I can't do that to my truck myself. I'll look for a shop around here. Thanks very much!
The lowering looks awesome!! The square body would look amazing Indiana Red!!!
Nice job ..you guys did a great job. ..that wasn't easy
Straight up awesomeness! Lovin the sqr body plus anyone can do their style and it’s still a SB ! Waiting on next week’s appointment 😅 with y’all. Scott. Metro Atlanta
You were scaring me with that coil spring job. It sure looked like you had never worked on coils. Glad you got it done without getting hurt
Can't wait for the next one! This was great fun to watch. Thank you for sharing!
The influence of Puddin's Fab Shop is strong here with the white steelies and caps.
he should do whites on his old ford and or whitewalls.
Flat Steele's don't look the same, ugly ..
To me..
It looks a lot better now great job
OMG truck looks AWESOME!
I just brought my 86 lwb home today thanks for the motivation
Great improvement... see you next week 🇬🇧
A lot of work for a few inches 😛 guys! Looks very good. Maybe sometime Hannah do a play list of your greatest hits..👍 Love from us two in the UK.

It looks great !! Nice to budget builds for us
Good job on the lowering!
Awesome job y'all looks great

I used to fill those dashes and then texture them and paint them, and the door and kick panels to match
Fill with what? It's foam and vinyl
@SethHollingshead fiberglass repair kit or fiberglass resin with some fleece, and we'd do door panels, kick panels, and we did and still do this to other parts of interiors with this method. We been doing this for close to 30 yeara
Looking awesome 👍👍😎😎😊
Looking forward to Fall Rod Run and seeing what is new with the rigs
My dad the service manager at Chevy dealer call it a Generic Made Chevy. He also said he’d get new Chevy trucks with GMC tailgates on them. When he was doing this in the 80s he told me that they built both trucks on the same line.
Awesome love square bodys
Good job and video Homies. Cory I sent you some market place links
Good job on the stance. Looks great.
Love that Square Body
Wheels & tires make a vehicle most of the time.
great job & great video

Looks great 👍💯
Someone is going to get hurt. That’s a jacked up way to get the springs out. Cory, you make it look hard.
Exactly! Using that post while lowering the lift is not safe. Corey, remember when a new truck almost fell on you off of a lift? And we wonder why. We DO NOT want y'all to get hurt!
Nice job ❤ love your Hillbilly style 💪God bless you guys✌️
It's always nice to see your smile Hannah.
Good Ole SWAG for measuring the cut of the spring. 😮
Turned out great! Really like the wheels. Need a set for my 83 stepside!
Happy Square Body Wednesday!!!!!
Looks awesome now !!!!
Love your videos you guys are very good.

Yes this is the safe way to do it. Done it a few times myself.
Need that special paint job❤
TUNA WORLD! 😂 ⬛️ body looking much cuter than it was. 😍 👏🏻
Hello Cory . Need to see a update on the green c10 Chevy truck . From Mt Morris Michigan , Gordon WALKER
Awesome job take another 1/2 coil out of the front ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉
Oh man!!! You two are a workman's comp claim just waiting to happen😂😂😂
Like the black
Hit the side of the spindle with a big hammer and ball joint will come loose without the damaging ball joint boot.
Slam jam . Paint it cranberry 🤣
No tool is ever wasted.
😂😂😂 you guys are funny love your videos
I always heard "Got Made Cheap" 😂🤘🏼🇺🇲
@@lilorbielilorbie2496 nope..

The truck 🛻 best thing in video
The way the C10 sits before work is called a California Rake.
Thks for the video ! Have to love the square bodys
It"s Great to see You Two Today!
You all need shorter shocks in the front and rear. Or shorter shocks in the front and shock bracket extenders in the rear.
Well Hannah was fired up, GMC hub caps and big nipples lol. The stance on the square body is great and the white steelies and tires make a big difference. Oh, can't wait to see the color change on the truck.

Needs a visor and duck tail as you called it like Corn Bread has 😂 (Shop Truck Gathering). All kidding aside, I'm diggin it.

Thanks for the lesson on lowering! I dig it!! In my humble opinion, Y’all really need to spend the money on a dash pad. ✌️
Those universal lowering kits r for all the trucks from a half ton to a 1 ton truck. Thats why they send extra long u bolts in the kits.
Face Sheild When You Are Grinding! Awesome!
Hey yall God bless you yall keep up the good work
Looks good. You would need to put the old wheels back on to get true drop measurments
I watch a UA-camr called pudding's Fab shop and he has jacks he puts on the each end of his vehicle when it's on that racket stabilize it That's what you guys need
Hahahaha fukkk yes we all wat have puddin aka Cody. And so do they.
The 41 looks great sitting in the shop guys!
Sorry wish I could messaged sooner! One full coil equals I think two inches. And I had to drop my sway bar. And shock. And for future reference could spring clamps are far more dangerous that getting everything out of the way. Love your show
My daughter took over my UA-cam lol but my name is Christopher from Moab Utah
End of video truck looks great! Good job you guys
This is so much a husband-and-wife project lol Its strange that my wife's ideas always involve me helping
Easy Hannah...lets keep this PG. Sweat???? You guys don't need to show skin to get them subs. Love your guys videos.

You would be safer if you put a pallet on the forks to stand and to put what you need on it, thanks for sharing, all the best to you all
heck ya looks much better
The spring you caught it 2 1/2 👍👍
Looks great guys. You can only get a true measurement if you put the other wheels on. That’s how you took your first measurement. The new wheels were larger.

Best thing for the looks of the truck would be to leave it the way it is 👍
😊
Cory, you could have went to Oh Oh Oh O'Reilly
and just rented a spring compressor
The pickup turned out purty schaweet

The deer is going to go plum crazy if you leave those persimmons on the ground the deer love those more than anything!!!
Air in the tires might help when measuring
Always measure from axle center!
Enjoyed your video thanx.
Learning a lot thanks
Y'all need some tall, adjustable, lift style jack stands. That whole lowering the truck down onto a post was cringe worthy ... LOL
I got to tell you Corey I love your old lady she is so raw whatever’s on her mind she speaks it and that’s cool great video guys
It ain’t always a good thing lol
I think the stock front end after the rear drop looks good the me
I hate those cheep lug nuts Bar7 Ranch feels the same!!!!😂😂😂😂
