I watched Nuovo Olimpo last night on Netflix and I really enjoyed it. I didn't realize, it was a true story. This and Red, White, & Royal Blue are the most enjoyable gay movies I've seen in my lifetime. I always found Italian men to be hot and sexy, and particular from Palermo, Italy.
I just watched Nuovo Olimpo last night. I was absolutely captivated by the sensual beauty and depth of this film. It is one of the very best, bittersweet, gay movies I have ever seen. I was so moved it took my breath away. I can't wait to see it again!

Nuovo Olimpo is trash if you expect things to go right.
Tore is a horrible movie because Tore is a horrible person. He's selfish, reckless, immature and irresponsible and you pretty much lose all sympathy and interest in him early on. And when you can't root for the main character, then what do you have? It was a total waste of time investing in these episodes.

Tore (pronounced Torry) was a very annoying and uninteresting story. Tore is the most irresponsible and immature 27 year old man you'll ever meet and becomes very unlikable very quickly. He's self destructive and selfish and we really don't know why. His maturity is so underdeveloped that he becomes obnoxious and useless. And when you can't root for the main character, the movie isn't worth investing in. Nuovo Olimpo is quite simply perfection.
it was opposite for me tbh tore kept me invested he was annoying but there’s people who actually ruin their lives like him so it’s interesting to see , nuovo olimpo was predictable was nothing new
'Nuovo Olimpo' is an embarrassing mess, poorly acted and poorly scripted, feels like Ozpetek is making an uninspired spoof of an Almodovar movie. It pains me to say this, I am Italian and I was really looking forward to this, especially since I had loved Ozpetek's breakthrough movie 'Le Fate Ignoranti'.
