Coincidentally I ordered a pair of safetec from Amazon a day before you released your review. I got 8 oz. I love them. For me closing my fist at the point of impact is most important and to develop this technic I train with leather garden gloves which also let you know when your fist lands properly, but they can be hard on the hands. The safetec solved this problem because they really allow this but with some padding. I don’t kill the heavy bag with them because I think of them more as technical gloves. Too often people judge gloves under false premise. These are excellent when used for the right purpose. Haven’t done any mitt work yet.
@@ThatBoxingGuy The garden glove thing is old school (a forgotten art) I don't recall from whom or where I learned it. I found gloves tend to hide technical errors. I actually go bare knuckle on the double end bag. (not a tough guy thing I just find it gives me honest feedback on my technic). Beside my new Safetecs I have only used winning 10 oz fight gloves. I elaborated on this in a reply to one of your subscribers on this board. BTW great channel! I like Fit2box too, but it would nice if in addition to his 10/9 rating system he talked in more detail about compartment feel and impact feel (which I know is subjective to an extent).
i think they sent you traditional gloves labeled as safetecs on the packet the shape is nothing like how they should be look defo like the normal fight glove. Im 100 percent sure also safetecs dont have the ''rounds'' label inside and have the 10oz indicator to the side.
Yo nice vid but can you answer my question please so can you tell me the main difference between the Cleto Reyes ProTec and these gloves, thank you much appreciated bro ! Also was asking cause I was wondering which ones to buy cause I do a lot of sparring, pad work and light bag and last question which packs more of a punch to your opponent?
I’ll use the 8oz, just wondering how deep the finger compartment is?? I have long fingers I guess and sometimes an 8oz fight glove hasn’t have enough finger space… any thoughts??
They last a good while. I've had a pair for probably about 1 1/4 years, and they still hold up fantastic. They feel almost just like the regular pro fight gloves, but are much more durable. I have a pair for bag work and mitts, and a pair for Fights.
Hello, thanks for the review. I wanted to ask what do you mean new? Because this ones do not have the logo on the thumb i thought they were the classic version. I bought some like that as well, and i was wondering... Not sure if foam or horse hair.
Actually I think I just got a Safetec that wasn’t labeled. Most likely a manufacturer defect that somehow got through. Every Safetec I’ve seen all have the decal on the thumb.
@@ThatBoxingGuy Thanks for replying. Funny thing! I bought a pair that look similarly. 95% sure its with foam inside, no indication as well; I bought them from Paris and I also saw one russian youtube chanel reviewing them again this version again mentioned it was a foam glove. It seems to me that the classic safetechs have also a bit of a different shape. Even further the parisian shop were official suppliers of reyes goods and they also had the classic training glove in velcro. With sizes like S, M and L instead of OZ smaller wrist a bit different overall. It seems they make different goods for different markets. Im satisfied, its just weird. Thanks again for replying :)
@@ThatBoxingGuy yours look so much like the horsehair ones when it comes to the shape.. they are much more fluffy and soft.. mine are much sharper in shape like you can clearly se the edges of the foam (on the outside of the palm)
Hey boss, I was wondering if you can answer a question for me? In your opinion, which pair of gloves are best for Sparring, Heavy bag, Mitt work. After covid I plan on getting a membership to a boxing gym and I don’t want to have 2 different pair gloves. I have it down to the Cleto Reyes Extra padding or Winning MS-500 with both at 16oz. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
That Boxing Guy thank you boss! I’m going to get a pair of Winning MS-600B (16oz) in blue tomorrow! I’m still thinking of getting the Cleto Reyes extra padding in 14 oz then if the 16’s would be 20 oz. I wouldn’t want to ruin the winnings!
@Wiki Park I was a heavy weight now I’m a super middle weight.. I fucked those cletos up in 3 months and fucked up my winnings too. Trust I still have my membership
Patrick - I have 10 oz winning fight gloves and just got the cleto safetec in 8 oz. The winning are extremely comfortable when hitting anything. It’s amazing how the padding is so soft but they don’t bottom out. The winning padding feels softer than the safetec, but my safetec are not broken in yet. That being said I really like the safetec. If you get safetec I would go with the 10 oz if your over 160lb or are a heavy hitter. The 8 oz are very compact gloves. Hope this helps.
why do i feel whenever i wear cletos my hand feels too loose. i feel like they do not fit me adequately. Rivals for me are absolutely the best fit. i get very strong contact with those gloves.
@@prinzelvinverra3837 I have both the winning 10oz fight gloves and reyes safetec 10oz for a while. I would say for the craftsmanship and durability, winning is better;for training like bag/mitts work, reyes safetec is better.

Been eyeing these for a while now
Great gloves I have them. I also have the 160oz to spar.
@@ThatBoxingGuy The only thing better then owning a Cleto Reyes glove is owning several pairs of Cleto Reyes gloves.
Nice review! I have them in 8oz with the safetec logo, and they're perfect for mitt work/pads.
Nice i was looking for a cleto reyes safetec review, thanks bro🙌🏼
That montage at the beginning was amazing
Usually the 10 oz tag should be on the side if it’s safetech instead of the bottom shouldn’t
not really...it's random
Bro your boxing gloves reviews are the best keep up the great work
Great review and great boxing skills 🔥💯
Thanks Brother 👊🏽
Your videos are so underrated keep grinding love them
They're real Cleto from Mexioc when they come with a green card

Can I use them for bag work and pads or it's not worth the money cause it's only 30 rounds use?
Safetecs are meant for gym use after it’s been in fights. They last a good while, as long as you let it air out and wipe off the sweat after use
How can you tell from safetech and horse hair now since the have no logo ?
My next training gloves. Realllly want to train with 10oz gloves
Go with 8;)
Hey brother, my weight is 121 lbs. Do you think i can go hard with these gloves on the bag ?
You sure can, I recommend 8 oz👍🏼
@@ThatBoxingGuy thanks i already ordered 10 oz :(
How do they compare to the rival fight gloves do you think they are worth the extra money. Great vid 👍
Great video
how's the inside lining holds up? i heard people getting their lining torn after 1-2 years
It’s not too bad, a couple of rips on the side, but it’s not really effecting the performance if the gloves.
And when did they start to remove the logo ?
Nice the video is out!
Are the 8oz smaller or the same size as the 10oz
Padding is the same thickness, just a bit narrower
@@ThatBoxingGuy
I have 8oz just ordered 10 oz safetec should i cancel them lmao

Why are they so good
They have a reputation for decades of being a superior product and pro fighters around the world can agree.
How are they holding up? Thinking of buying them for the heavy bag/double end bag/mitts... Curius about how long will they last me.

My fairtex gloves last 6 years will this last that long?
Likely not
Why can't you spar with them? Are they too hard or too light or what's the problem?
@@ThatBoxingGuy I've heard some people say that they feel the same and the padding is still there to spar with 10oz gloves 🤔
@@ThatBoxingGuy do they hurt more?
can you compare horse hair version? it is more compact than offical fight gloves
Good video
Could u review the everlast Mx headgear
Hows the feedback and pop when you hit mitts and/or the heavy bag?
Be nice to Bobby
Are they as springy as the traditional training gloves?
are the stickers still on? because it seems like that on the websites
Stickers are surprisingly still in tack. Just a couple of creases, but not bad

What does the leather of the gloves feel like
Says on some websites they are "synthetic leather" ie vinyl or polyurethane. Better known as.. Milk or water bottles. Confused.
Real genuine leather? Got the officials n they smell different from my leather fairtex bgv1s. Chemical smell. Which ones legit ? Lol
Can I train with the pro gloves ? Liked bag work, pads etc?. Or is it strictly for fighting?
Im late but yes you can especially the safetec ones
Wait I’m confused...do these gloves last longer then 30 rounds of bag work or not?
Yep i have 8oz still good after 1 year
