    Great review as always. As you mentioned, Inoue used Reyes gloves in the 2nd fight with Donaire but used Winning in the first fight. In the second fight Inouye seemed to come out hitting harder and KO'd Donaire in the second round, whereas the first fight went the distance. Certainly, Donaire's age at 39 compared to Inoue at 29 is a factor. Wondering if you think the Reyes gloves were also a factor.

      @csquaredboxing  2 роки тому +11

      Definitely could’ve helped but I think more of age and Inoue breaking donaire down faster. He understood that nonito often likes to load up on certain punches and countered his counter right over the jab. Just came quicker this time because of his first fight experience imo

      Did he not have the safetec ones on by any chance I could be wrong they just didn’t look as broken in as the original ones do and he does have hand problems would be crazy do wear the horse hair ones with hand problems but a could be wrong would love to see him with everlast mx which I think are a even softer glove he would be untouchable

    Legendary gloves used at least once by Lomachenko, Pacquiao, Inoue, Ali, and many other great boxers with different fighting styles.
    Maybe the best out of the best: price, comfort, durability, damage, excellent wrist support.

    Great video brother. I just ordered the 10oz safetec version to train bag and pads. I’ve heard the durability on that version is astounding. I use 16oz adispeed for sparring and also have fly x which I’m on the fence due to wrist support and in sparring I can feel my knuckles through - prolly should have got the premium fly.
    Have a blessed day people.

    Great review. I feel there's too much emphasis on protecting your hands and knuckles with foam or soft gel. Boxers should condition their hands and bodies. When I was fighting in 1980s, our sparring gloves had very little padding. They felt like baseball gloves 😅

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  2 роки тому +5

      I agree, sometimes there’s too much padding and it can take away from your punch form and creating a hood tight fist

    Hey Carlo; I just wanted your opinion since you have tried both. I currently have 14 oz cleto training gloves (velcro). I really like Reyes and wanted a new 12 oz pair of lace up training. I am doing just bag work, mitts, etc. Did you find the protech or safetech w.e it's called, is more protective than the training gloves? And do you think it would last as long as the training gloves do? Thanks for your feedback!

    Hey, I want to buy some sparring gloves (16oz). Which is a better choice between the Venum Impact and the Ring to side C17? Otherwise, I found the Mk1 Select very interesting since I want to buy a pair that is 140$ or less, but unfortunately, they are sold out in 16 oz. I watched your top 5 sparring gloves, but all of them are too expensive for me... What would be the best pair of velcro sparring gloves for 140$ or less?

    I’ve bought over the years everlast mx gloves grant gloves winning gloves rival gloves all professional fight gloves for heavy bag work and just because I love using professional fight gloves when hitting the heavy bag and I have to say the professional cleto Reyes gloves are by far the most comfortable gloves, grip bar and thumb are levels above the rest and the leather and stitching are done to perfection the only problem I have is the label and I know they are professional fight gloves and they are only meant for 12 rounds but even after a couple of rounds on the bag the label will crack and peel off even if you watch professional fights you see it peel off during the fight but grant gloves do a much better job with their label it takes a long time for it to come off but I still love reyes
