Having a real purpose behind your actions sets this apart from any other game like it. Even derail valley doesnt come close. Railroads online is narrow guage so it doesnt exist to me.
You've done a really nice job of explaining and demonstrating what a marvelous project the devs have undertaken and are producing. Thanks and I'll be looking forward to more of your streams of this game!
I sure am looking forward to this game; thanks for your review/video! I spend a decent amount of time in the area of the USA that this line is based on so that makes it even more special for me. I hope some day they will extend the line down beyond Murphy to include the Hiawassee Loop.
This game is about operations, not running trains. It’s objectively more realistic and deep than derail valley. If you want to drive trains, derail valley is the better game though.
@@15nyonker I see it as a mix between DV and Railway Empire. Interesting. I will follow the progress, as it can lead to something very interesting. I haven't watched the whole video, so I can't confirm or infirm if I find it more deep than DV. DV also has an operational aspect to train management (shunting, logistical hauling, loading, unloading, day/night cycles, sleeping, weather, walking/running/jumping, etc.) As for the realistic aspect, I think this game is not playing in the same league as DV. As I mentioned, the graphics look a bit cartoonish, and driving a steam locomotive in DV is quite a different experience. Now, maybe I am comparing apples to oranges, so to each their preferences. As long as we can play the games we like. 🙂
Looking for a train game. There is more options than i thought. It's hard to decide, i got station to station cause it was on sale cheap. Thinking about railway empire cause it's also on sale but idk. I wanna build and manage but also drive em

Haha yea its true
I'd like to see a train sim set up like American Truck Sim where they have the routes for all over the USA and you can sandbox go anywhere.
Yes i been saying this for years!!

It’s not a train simulator, at all. It’s a railroad operations simulator.

Nice graphics, although a bit cartoonish. I'll stick with DV, but thanks for the intro.
