4:44 that face when you're trying really hard to resist playing a 12 over 19-and-a-half polyrhythm
😂😂😂😂😂
I didn't know Danny could play 4/4.
did you see his face? he was in obvious pain...
Chris Adams-Easkold I thought the same thing. Not only 4/4, but there’s a complete lack of any sort of polyrhythm.
Haha. Well stinkfist, as well as a few other tool songs, are just normal 4/4 tunes
Oh yes he can. He is also THE MAN when it comes to jazz drums!!!
Rob Hoyt
Jazz fusion ..
Random keyboard jam session in my basement who's in? Danny Carey: Im in...
He's like the Batman of drums. All you have to do is shine a light in the sky with crossed drum sticks and he'll be there in a few with a kit on his back and a huge smile.
When the UA-cam algorithm recommends the right video, it is gold.
Yeah but can we encourage it?
Are you one of the UA-cam sponsored mk ultra patients that glorify the boodube calgortism like it's a tourettes tick?
@@polybond3535 If I was, I wouldn't know O__o
@@jean-jacquesdupuy99 I think we can.
@@AtamDardon "bananatuck"... Do you feel switched on?
dude never even took his jacket off
the musicianship on display here is wild
As I listened I heard Lonnie Liston Smith, Ahmed Jamal, Les McCann, Weather Report, Brian Auger, Steve Winwood
5 years later and the algorithm is still showing this love. 🖤
"You guys mind if i throw a septagram on this rent-a-kit?" #Magick
Watching Danny play funk just puts a smile on my face!
Imagine being in awe just walking into that room with all those amazing synths & keyboards. Then your jaw drops when they actually start playing. And the fact that they play In A Silent Way completely floors you!
Good to see Danny getting some real work.
How many people here think that this is a jam and not a classic jazz fusion composition by Miles Davis. These are Danny’s roots. This is home for him.
Sir Wojenheim the third Joe Zawinul wrote this and Miles picked it up for his album which Joe also played on.The tune is about his days as a shepherd boy in his native Austria. The original is on ‘Zawinul’ , his first solo album. This is great.
@@MacMic333 Technically, it's by Miles and Joe. Miles wrote "It's About That Time" and bookended it with Joe's "In a Silent Way."
RIP Joe
@@mr.beaverchair3622 Yeah, but this has Joe's signature sound written all over it, though. I close my eyes and I hear Weather Report.
Composer : Joe zawinul too
I think Danny is the best drummer I have ever heard play... This was great and the keyboard players are truly masters of the craft...
Hes definitely in my top 3 with Neil pert and Jonathan sugarfoot mofett
Danny could play the theme to sesame street. Whatever, I'm in.
Agreed.
Straight up
If anyone from CVKeys is listening: Please bring those live sessions back!!!
R. I. P. Joe Zawinul. R. I. P. Miles.
If drums are the vehicle for music, I'd hop in for a ride to literally any destination with Danny.
,
My mother just called me a pervert for watching this. I don't think there is a better compliment.
U can take Danny out of TOOL but you can't take the TOOL out of Danny 👊💀
I was really wishing out of nowhere Danny just busts out some “Ticks And Leeches” style drumming..🤘🏻🤘🏻
Ha! That would fuckin rule!
Danny: OMG FUCK THIS 4/4 SHIT!
*chucks on basketball jersey and starts ripping shit*
16 keyboards. I think that qualifies as madness
Just brilliant. Real musicians making use of real vintage equipment.
Miles Davis 1967. 🧡
👍🏼
Great Piece by Davis and austrian keyboarder and Genius Joe Zawinul played by really cool guyz 😻🔥
I love it. What musical sensibilities this guy has. I love Miles AND TOOL. Strange combo but both very advanced
prog and jazz is not a strange combo lol. danny carey has expressed his love of Billy Cobham and talked about his influence tons.
When the St Anger snare kicks in...
Danny Carey is an amazing musician and human being!
He is. He's a major rock star, by some standards, but doesn't seem to know it or care - play good music for him, and he turns into a babbling fan. I saw this firsthand at a little music venue in Portland, OR, where he was playing some multi-band show, and started hollering at me about how great another one of the bands on the bill was.
@@Baribrotzer Yep!! And Danny's usually there just hanging out, talking to fans. I've been to Stumpfest every year since 2018. I'll be seeing Danny's trio playing this year on 4/13/24!!
Danny Carey’s crossticking in the beginning reminded me of Dave Weckl. If you like this keyboard sound, then listen to Jason Lindner Now vs Now. Mark Guiliana is another fantastic drummer on some of those records.
Mark Giuliana w Brad Mehldau is a similar soundscape to this band
So relaxing thanks for sharing this is a jewel.
So good!!
Stunning
Love this💜💜💜

That was fun
So incredible and powerful minimalist. Plus it’s a full track ! Wonderful! Peace Christo 👽🐕🎶🛸☮️
That looks like fun.
Excellent! What an unexpected find.
This must be so refreshing for Mr. Carey.
Awesome jamming fellas. Subscribing and liking. Thanks!!
I’m always looking for new and exciting ways to upset my downstairs neighbors while making my next door neighbor jealous and I feel like this tote-a-tune would do the trick. Additionally I think it would sufficiently confuse my cat to the point of adorable wonder.
NERRRRREDS! Love it love it
Just fantastic.…great Jam and Danny up to the part and then some
Need's more Keyboard!!!
Right on man!!!!! Groooooooovy...
Oh my- this is an amazing tribute to an amazing album. Danny’s right hand is so funky.
These dudes are incredible.
everytime I watch this it gets better
Yes!!!! Mr.Carey killing it as usual. You are so the man.
I want to play that thing live on stage so bad!!! Looks fun.
Prograzzamatazz!
You guys turned that beautiful vintage entry level keyboard into a badass versatile preset synth, and who couldn’t want that, and therefore I need that tote a tone to fill out the bass and leads with my Wurlitzer electrostatic organ.
Free fun loving big heart groovy jam man
God i love danny carey! My favorite drummer of all time.
Those dudes were layin it down! 👊😎
This is a fantastically interesting rendition of his song.
I'm hooked - music lover Philippines *
SO BEAUTIFUL
GREEN
SMOKE.....DANNY.... MASTER
Much as I love Danny, I feel like they needed someone a lot funkier on this jam
Man this would be awesome to win...
I love exotic instruments and this would be an awesome piece of equipment to own....
I'm play for my church and I would live to incorporate this into my Sunday morning groove!!!!
Ever since seeing the tote-a-tune pop on the CV keys insta Ive been trawling the second hand market to find one to hack one myself. The perfect fun sized machine to unleash the brown note in my bands live setup. Love from New Zealand
Holy. Fucking. Shit. That was incredible, the endurance they all have is insane. Amazing performance gentle men...*tips hat*
Tote a tune is a great instrument . Would really want it in my arsenal...
I would love to add this to my mini kitchen rig :) Nothing like making your own beats to breakfast!
That things got some killer sound. I’d use that tote-a-tune for my recording and live shows to spice things up a bit.
Great arrangement, Miles at his peak, once again ... I like your more funky approach
I have recently become obsessed with vintage analog keyboard sounds, and this seems to be quite the instrument to explore. I would be so interested to see what kinds of sounds I could get out of it.
Damn, these are som funky keys!!!
Elliot Feinstein thanks for watching! Check out our other vids if you haven’t already. We always try and bring the funk!
Шикардос!
This was so groovy I pulled out my guitar and started jamming. Anyone else who wants to do the same, capo on the first fret!
Hello Custom Vintage! I've been following your work for about a year now and from the moment I saw the first post about this cool contraption on your instagram I literally said to myself, "I wish I could have one of those." I am currently studying music composition at Cal Lutheran University, and have recently fallen in love with synths and keyboards, however do not have the funds to make it happen. Winning this once in a lifetime instrument would be incredible for my creativity and music. I would love this baby forever!!
wow!
I don’t play keys but I’d like to smoke on my stuff and drink my wine and just chill in there
Could y'all please do an album?? Just the three of you!! This is the Best Music Video I've ever seen!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🎛️🎧🎵🎶📻💽🎼🎻🎺🎹🎸🎙️💽💽💽💽💽💽
Cool af....
