Apparently your memory is quite faulty because the car in The Dukes of Hazard was a 1970 Charger not a 1969 Charger. There are several differences between the two starting and with the fact that there was no visible line in the center of the hood and the body around the headlights does not come to a peak on the outside edge
@@thewatcher6794even if you are somehow soooo misinformed to actually believe what you just said, GOOGLE is your friend. EVERYBODY who was ever even the slightest fan knows the general was a '69. the '70 had the wraparound front bumper and no grill center piece. dude, just look up some pics before you embarrass yourself further.
@@richardhively3085 being that I was actually there I have no need to research it even though I have watched many docu series about the show and the most important character of the show The General Lee,try actually watching the show and stop looking everywhere else, the hero car was a 1970, pay attention to the scenes where the car is not moving because that is the real general lee
The show was more about the car and occasionally the other cars on there. I watch older movies almost nightly from the 50s to 90s just to remember how it was back then.
This has to be one of the Best restorations on a '69 Charger, reminds me of the episode 'Happy Birthday General Lee' an Awesome job, wish that vehicle was in my collection, hopefully you'll be doing a few other TV car tributes soon 😁
Fantastic, this turned out amazing, just like all the rest, but this one looks really amazing . It looks just like I remember it! I can see Bow or Luke Duke sliding across the hood running from roscoe. Congratulations on an outstanding job 👏 thank you.
I love the high tech fix. I couldn't come up to that level because I am not worthy but looking in through the window and digging the process, I am SO there.
Truly a joy to watch that video and repair job. To get a chance to own a 1:18, or even 1:12 size model of the general lee would be such the dream, but I imagine in Ireland though, would be very expensive if I could get it.
I really enjoyed this video, general Lee is my dream car, brilliant job on this one, as a model builder i can really appreciate the work that went into this project 😊
Did you mix your own paint? When I redid my original 1:25 scale ERTL General Lee, I found some airbrush ready 1975 Corvette Flame Red online (also gave me an excuse to buy an airbrush). What scale is this? How old is it? It looks beautiful!
Nice work only you missed/forgot about one critical detail. The General Lee was a racecar and as such racecars (as the General Lee was) have roll cages in them.
@@Restorations4U the horn was genuine, not an effect, in first season when they filmed entirely on location in Georgia. You could get the kit for about 30 bucks to just play Dixie or get one you could program to play anything your musical talent could input notes for, for about 50. The producer did not know and paid some local kid 200 bucks for his 30 dollar horn.
Great job restoring it. I thought for sure with all the detailing effort you put into the interior you might have actually wired up the new motor with mini wire harness. That would be cool to see, did a 1969 Super Bee many years ago and even wired the engine with fuel lines, spark plug wires and so forth. I owned the real Bee and my model was a near mirror image of the one i owned. I miss that car :( . But great job, thumbs up 🙂

The show still comes on regular TV if you have a converter box or in my area at least but the flag is blurred out

@@Restorations4U You're welcome!
For the Dukes autotrader commercial, instead of trading in their General for a Viper they should've shown them Hellcat swap it.
I agree
Fuckin 440 time
I would've kept the old general lee and the new Dodge viper.
Hellcat wasn't a thing yet at that point. And we all know there's no way Bo and Luke would ever trade in the General. That car is family
Good car
Keep it up!!!🔥🔥🔥
Will do!!

Damn bro that's awesome. Yeah boy . Even got the push bar. Sweet.
