Imagine the world leaders having a meeting and suddenly you heard a loud explosion to see your ally tanks destroying the fountain and some nearby tree. Then minutes later you're surrounded by walls. If that doesnt make u doubt this "commander" they hired then idk what will
This is one of my favourite campaigns. I love the tower defence style of this campaign. It's fun to have a bit of time to build up defences and then fend off wave after wave :)
To take out the floating disks, my strategy was to build a shipyard and deploy Aegis anti-air. Those guys kick ass and Yuri's forces will not target at them.
I'll give you an alternative strategy: Once you build barracks, train 4 engineers one to capture that oil derrick, scout the map and train NON STOP GI's and garrison every single building As soon as you build war factory, train 2 more chrono miners and 21 IFV's for floating disks, 7 in each side 3 of them with engineer (repairing ifv) Build ore purifier, wall the parliament building, you don't really need base defenses and waste the energy for them as long as you garrison all the buildings.
I find it adds a bit more fun to these missions when you challenge yourself with sending a spy into the enemy war factory before you build the mapwiper prism tank squad. They get even better as a reward.
i always used aegis cruiser to handle the floating disc, though if you move it to the upper ore field it can triggered boomer appearance suddenly and can mess up real bad 😂

I just replayed this chapter snd for those people who are annoyed by this mission all you have to do is this: 1. Build up to tier 2, and spam rocketeers and prism towers at the machine shop 2. Use the two leftmost buildings and keep it full, as it would deal a massive blow to the masterminds 3. Expand your economy bigtime, if the floating discs and the boomer missiles bug you, spam IFVs but keep them away from the left side 4. Garrison the structures as well on the right side to soften up the tank battalion approaching 5. Remember to repair the parliament regularly, even when your defense is already established well 6. And when it all ends, slow build towards the enemy base since your already established prism towers at the shop cannot let the Slave Miners make more money
An alternative that I use is to spend on GIs early to garrison the hell out of the buildings on the other side of the bridges and thin out the enemies before they reach the river. You require fewer defenses, don't have to constantly repair the walls, and your oil refineries are more likely to survive.
I love to use a 3x3 tank tactic to finish this mission. Build Chronosphere, 4 mirage tanks, 4 prism tanks, 1 Engineer IFV. Once Chronosphere is charged take the tanks to the farthest part of Yuri's base and just set there watching. If the AI tries to attack them they will attack back, and prism tanks attacks spread so, yeah, pretty much all of the base will be destroyed once the AI starts attacking them
I like to watch movies and series while on exercise bike, as this way time passes quicker. But nothing so far compares to tg videos, they make time fly.

There is a safer strategy - Be on the defensive in the city: This will give the opportunity to stepback if the position is lost; any breakthrough of Yuri's forces can lead to defeat in the author's playthrough. In my first playthrough, I immediately explored the open part of the map (hereinafter referred to as 1pom) and realized that Yuri would attack from the 1pom border, because Yuri was not at 1pom, and Palace remained in the corner of the map. I did things like this: 1. Entered positions in buildings on the edge of the 1st pom and covered it with an IFVs. 2. Left several engineers in the city to repair occupied buildings. 3. Hid the company of "Mirage" in the Gardens. 4. Took positions in buildings on my bank and built 3 prismatic towers in front of the Palace. As a result, only one unit approached the Palace - it was a gattling tank, which fired one short burst. I also lost all my navy and forgot that it is possible to wall the Palace and use the battle fortress with the guardian GI's and SEAL's.

I enjoyed the thought of going battle fortress AA but that right side felt soooo weak XD
There is also another way but more costly path and that is building mirage tanks and block the bridge. 6x2 and the back row will be either 3 prism tanks or battle fortress filled with Guardian GI

There are 2 alternatives to this mission: - build you power structures in the back of the base and your patriot missiles up-front, then train many GIs and garrison as many buildings as you can OR - instead of GIs, build many robot tanks and Mirage tanks. Maybe I don’t really need that many tanks. Idk. This mission was fun at the start. Easy to do after a few tries. Really nothing special.
The most effective strategy on how to complete this mission is to first build a power plant (in the place where you plan to put all the others in order to build according to the rules of the farm, and it is advisable to BUILD POWER PLANTS AT THE VERY EDGE OF THE MAP so that flying disks do not reach them), then allied barracks, then ore refinery, after that just spam the GI's training button, capture all 3 oil derricks, occupy buildings near the bridges and a lone building in the northwest of the map (until it expands), then build a war factory and battle lab, build 2 harvesters and a lot of mirage tanks, put a couple of them near the passage to the Thames River, and the rest by the roads to the bridges, from the side of the buildings (so that damage to the enemy increases), then build a spy satellite, and build a couple of battle fortresses and plant 5 GGIs in them, and you can also, in order to make sure about the safety, several IFVs and a patriot missle, after that you can only redirect the GIs to another building when the buildings are destroyed, otherwise what was damaged, repair with engineers and that's it, and after victory, destroy the enemy base with dreadnought (s), tesla soldiers, BTF with GGIs, tanks of the Soviets and Allies and prism tanks. My tactics may not be the best, but at least not bad
I don't know, tg-sacred. A real Tower Defense mission in an RTS would be that bonus mission in Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne's Blood Elf campaign. The less said about Deforged, the better.

This mission was fun at the start. Easy to do after a few tries. Really nothing special.
if you want lieutenant to shut up, just dont allow yuri to touch the parlament
I've always hated this mission as a kid
One of the best missions in the game
After I destroy all yuri's forces the mission continues and I cannot win. Help.
it would be better if theres a soviet mcv in this mission tho
How do change speed in the campaign in RA2 it wasn’t possible ?

How can she still talk at the start of mission althought she just get shock?
It took a while before the commander got to London. She got back to her senses.
All we had to do was to defend the damn parliament commander!
How are you playing the campaign? All I can play is multiplayer.
I don't know, tg-sacred. A real Tower Defense mission in an RTS would be that bonus mission in Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne's Blood Elf campaign. The less said about Deforged, the better.
What OS are you playing on?
I can't get RA2 or YR to play on my PC. Win 10 hates it.
I deal the floating disc with aegis cruiser, best aa unit in game
Is it possible, that the thumbnail is a little bit wrong? It still says "Clones Down Under"
It's displayed wrong on discord if you came from there but it's correct when seen from UA-cam.
