I really like this guy's artwork, had to pass the Heaven and Earth due to hearing about how the guide book didn't go into the details on the symbols of each card. Glad the writer for this Norse Tarot deck went into the Runes which compliments the card, Love the colors and great walk through and listening to your take on the deck. Hoping and crossing my fingers this artist does a Celtic Tarot Deck cause I will be all over it!!! Thank you for this walk through, hope you enjoy your new deck, you seem really excited to get it in your hands!
I would love to see an update video on this deck. I'm not really a tarot person, but there's something about this deck that was screaming at me during the walk through and I just bought it. I can't wait to have it in my hands and work with it.
First of all, this is the first of your videos I'm seeing, so will check out your channel! I loved this walkthrough and your commentary. I have recently been made aware of this deck and after seeing your walkthrough there is no doubt I will be getting it as soon as I have the chance (trying to cut back on getting new decks until I've worked with the ones I already have lol). I am Norwegian, but has always felt most at home with the celtic pantheon, however, our viking heritage and norse history and mythology is taught to us in school from an early age and as I've gotten older I want to connect more with it as it is a part of me as well. However, it's hard to find a good viking deck, the ones out there has this very 90s tarot art, but this deck looks gorgeous and also captures the spirit of the Scandinavian world. It's beautiful, but also harsh and has that barren darkness to it, it makes me feel slightly uncomfortably at home. I agree with you, Odin should be the hanged man, I was surprised to see he wasn't, although I also like the concept of the Death card. 5 of wands looks like it should be an 8 of swords, that might get confusing, but I really liked the sword suit in this deck as well. Oh and I looove this backing :) Thank you so much for sharing :)
Very informative video thankyou , I have the standard version small box , the runes especially the bindrunes aren't explained in the book and when joined in a bind rune hard to tell which ones used , in the big book version are they explained ?
Yes and no. The majority are one sentence meanings for each rune that makes up the bindrune, but does not go into detail on each Rune like it is for the ones found in the Majors.
I wasn't sure if I would like this deck, but hearing your thoughts and seeing it card by card has definitely won me over! I'm also working on a nordic tarot deck (very beginning of that journey) so it was interesting to see where my thoughts and plans for cards would overlap or differ.
I really enjoyed hearing your take on this one Daina! 😁 TY!
