Sending you love and hugs, sweet girl! 🐻 I can relate. Hang in there. I admire your bold attempts to share. Depression is such a struggle this time of year!! You are a sharing your little light! I am learning from you as I am an old Crone. I learn from your youth and how you are able to go forward despite the pain. 🤗 Writing is wonderful for me. Art journaling is part of my practice. HUGS.
I adore that notebook! It's so cute and functional, I'm definitely going to make one for myself, thank you for sharing that. I love that you said once you realize you can do something like wash a single dish, you'll be able to do more. You put words to what I've experienced and for me, having words for something is SO helpful in understand why it is. I live in Missouri...the midwest is so awful for seasonal depression, it gets so grey and cold and icky. Especially lately where we've had a few days of 70 degrees, then snow, and it just keeps flip flopping. I'm so sick of everything being dead and mushy from melting snow and gross. As far as creativity, have you tried something simple like coloring? That helps me a lot, it gives me something to focus on instead of my thoughts. I especially love listening to a good audiobook while I color. I have a set of very nice colored pencils that blend beautifully and using these in a coloring book helps me be creative and make beautiful art without having to think too hard because the outline is already there. (Granted, I don't draw of anything on the best of days, that's not my art form, but it still helps me so figured I'd mention it.) final comment - I ADORE the Oracle of Echoes, that's a deck I bought the instant I first saw it, I just knew it had to be in my life!
Great ideas and more discussion about depression is definitely welcome. I think it's more common than people realize, but at least more people are coming around to talking about/working on it. Sharing their experiences help others to see its not just them and can help them work out their own issues. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for all the cool ideas you shared. And she willingness to be so open and vulnerable. I have just gone and bought the self care book and looking forward to diving into that.
I really appreciate u sharin ur journey wit depression. Not a lot of ppl do but it will help 2 normalise it. As for da difference between amulet and talisman; I learned amulets r 4 protection and r usually jewelry whilst talismans r 4 favourable outcomes and r usually little tokens u can keep on u.
