Point Loma Tide Pools with Kids

This spot has been on our bucket list since we moved to San Diego, but we kept making excuses not to go (the rocks are slippery for the kids, the tide isn't right, whatever). We finally made the trip and it was beautiful!
The hotel where we're shown roasting marshmallows at the end of the day is the Hyatt La Jolla at Aventine. We stayed there for a conference. It's not the most kid-friendly as far as on-site restaurants, but they have a great pool and the cafe sells s'more kits for their fire pits. The nearby UTC mall has a ton of fun stuff for the whole family, too.
