Everybody talks about Itchy Boots, but really she's just posting her journey. I need the raw info, someone who does their own work, use the bike as more than just a mule, and teach me more about a good rider! So glad I found you

A fine review of a fine motorcycle. I'll be doing something similar for my channel if I ever manage to defy gravity and get myself out of the easy chair. But I hear my Himalayan whispering...
I've read reviews about the new 450 version but I can't see it giving me anything I need. As I get older I'm interested in lighter, simpler, and more forgiving of an unfortunate throttle twist. And any discomfort related to wind on longer rides is just a nice reminder that I'm still breathing and able to take on the world.
Those Shinko tires look nice. They may be on my list when it comes time to swap out tires.
Utah looks so nice. Even on a rainy day.

I was able to buy my Himalayan used with almost every upgrade done. It did come with a fuel tuner, exhaust, and air filter upgrades and I will have to say that I can pretty easily keep up with traffic. I mention it because as my Himalayan is right now i don't feel like upgrading to a 450. With the fuel tuner my Himalayan also starts up right away and I can just ride it even in 40deg weather.

Fuel tuner? So excited to check this out!! Thanks so much for the comment and thanks for watching.

@@precipiceofgrind Yeah it's a powertronic for a 2017 to 2020. It is a 22 and it works great so far, I did buy it already installed. The part number is PTB 1A2. I would do the exhaust and the stage 1 cam and Dyno it all together. It will probably run around $1200 but I bet you get a motorcycle you won't get rid of.

Great review of your bike, I like your chosen extras and how you have the bike set up. I made my own steel soft pannier rack, just waiting for the painter to do them.... Ps never tell a painter your not in a hurry 😂

Great Video Jen! Waiting also to see if the 450 or the Hunter hit the lower 48?
Have you replaced the famous 2 relays and or have had to adjust the idle?
450 Mile's in and it takes me 5 to 6 attempts to start!
I've watched 100's of video's on these little peculiarities the RE's have.
Footage and sound is spot on as usual.

      Hey Edward:
I had another subscriber comment about a fuel tuner. Idk what that is but he says his bike starts right up now so I'm gonna check that out. Haven't done any relay replacements or idle adjustments. Thanks for your comment and support!

      @@precipiceofgrind Thank you for replying.
Here's another Oddity. Upon recieving himi February 25, I check the tire pressure when I get home...10 pounds.
I removed 16 ounces of oil from the crankcase and now the oil level is proper.
After running 8 to 10 minutes, the engine idle jumps between 1600 and 1900 RPM. Extremely odd.
Going to change the oil, filter, adjust valves, replace plug with iridium, and I will check the idle and throttle position sensor. I know the RE's are a little finicky but don't they check these at eurocycle before their sold.
      Still waiting foe windshield.
How do I provide Ian with a reasonable review after all this. I love my Red Chiye-tanka. Glad to hear yours is doing well. My first choice was Lake Blue.
Waiting Anxiously for the 450 and the Hunter.
      Great Videos Dave and Jen.
      Tours sound exciting.

Granted the pedal rubbers dampen vibration, but I'm surprised to see you have not removed them. ADV noob here, but I thought that was a thing to improve grip.

      @precipiceofgrind  Рік тому

      Hey L Z
I haven't had a problem with grip. IDK if that would be a good thing for me, sometimes too much grip can be bad, like when trying to shift standing up, LOL.

Honestly, I really enjoyed your banter today. It was nice to hear you ride and just ramble on about Alice and your gear etc... I see how my comment could be taken as snide or sarcastic, but I assure you, it is not. I have been subbed for months now, and enjoy both of your commentary. Keep it up, both of you!!! ;-)
