Hi Tim and Marisa, living as an expat in mainland Malaysia and having traveled to Sabah last year, I do confirm that people here are incredibly kind and always interested in chatting with foreigners. While in Sabah, try to go to those places where you can see the big apes, the orang-utans. Cheers!
We felt so welcomed and comfortable everywhere we went in East Malaysia! It was such a wonderful experience! We did see the orangutans 🦧 down in Kumai on a little 2 day river cruise! It was pretty incredible! We can’t wait to share all of the amazing things that we have been doing! Thanks for riding along with us!
6:30 one of Sabah and Sarawak conditions before joining the Federation of Malaysia was to have full controls of the immigration. in order to work there, we even have to apply for work permits 😅
UNFEDERATED MALAY STATES (Johor, Kedah ,Kelantan , Perlis Terengganu) + FEDERATED MALAY STATES (Selangor, Perak,Negeri Sembilan, Pahang) + STRAITS SETTLEMENTS (Pulau Pinang , Melaka ) = FEDERATION OF MALAYA (1957) Federation of Malaya + Sabah + Sarawak + Singapore = Federation of MALAYSIA (1963) Brunei decided NOT to join.. 1965 , SINGAPORE separated from MALAYSIA ... Indonesia n Philipines still fuming mad... 😂 till this day..
Hai im one of your subcribers..its awesome to see all of you content and about our country too, im living in East malaysia, Sabah, im a bikers too im riding a 250cc so if you can reach here most east cost of sabah, its a town called Tawau, its a border between malaysia and indonesia, i would be gladly to show you around this district and have a great time with you guys, Cheers guys have safe ride and be happy here in our safest city🤗😎

😂 thanks for tuning in and rowing down the river with us! Klim’s rain gear is pretty flawless, we just have to wear it 😆. Thanks again for the awesome feedback!
One of the advantages of the ktm is that it is designed very well to wade through floods without any problems as long as you don't fall off the vehicle and submerge it in water..this is what I usually do
Hi. been enjoying your videos. Sabah and Sarawak are not merely states, they are equal partners of the federation, hence the different imigration requirements and borders. Federation of Malaysia: Peninsula, Sarawak, and Sabah. take care and enjoy Malaysia😁
Thank you for the information! We are absolutely loving our ride through such a beautiful part of the world! We can’t wait to share all of the beautiful memories we’ve made!
The flood on the road was made worse due to the road upgrading works on going. Good to see you made it thru and even enjoying the experience. Interesting to note that no local riders were seen braving the flood.
What a thrilling episode.. 😂 love the commentary! Great new friends again you met.. what an inspiration you are to the young and people of all ages to follow their dreams.. Suggestion: baggies tied outside socks for you guys before boots go on.. we did that as kids walking to school in the rain and snow..it works wonders.. stay healthy - until next time, (( )) hugs..❤️😘
Thank you so much 😊! It has been a fun project and we hope to reach a new audience and provide our fans multiple ways to enjoy our content! Thanks again for tuning in and for the support!
The most scariest thing is if you hit a pothole while riding thru the flood. Anyway it is the best experience. I had a same experiences too riding thru flood in Sabah, Sarawak & Penang 😬😬😬. Stay safe guys & welcome to Sabah the place i use to live for 8 years before
I was definitely nervous about hitting some unseen pothole! But the roads seemed to be maintained really well prior to the flooded area. Such a crazy experience. We are loving each and every day in Sabah!
@@2UpAndOverloaded you are very lucky state goverment just repaired and upgrading the road during the royal tour from ours king last time. But there is some road still need to be upgrading. Just beware of the pothole somewhere 😅

Thanks for another great video. The new rack worked great, and I am looking forward to seeing how you MacGyver a snorkel for the little KTM! Take care. TC
Wow! That was a lot of water to ride through. I'm always worried about dropping into a deep pothole... But the roads look well maintained there so that would ease the fear. I should have counted how many times we saw the same scene going around the truck and between the cars. And the woman walking along the road, I think she was smiling!
Like your song, it rhymes and it is in my head now.😂 Flooded road is always fun for biker, but stay safe as road condition in east malaysia is really known for its potholes. U nvr know there is one when it is flooded. Stay healthy guys, it is rainy season here in malaysia. U could get sick easily.
I was definitely nervous about the potential pot holes... but all while there was a wide smile on my face! Thanks for tuning in and for the awesome feedback!
@@2UpAndOverloaded Having two riders instead of one is definitely better especially on a motorcycle trip to conquer the planet earth 🌏 😂 😜 😝 In car rally there is the term co-driver, maybe here we can call it co-rider or husband and wife team too 😂 🏍️💨

@@2UpAndOverloaded you guys should explore Bengoh Dam and spend one night there. Thank you for sharing your wonderful vlog about Sarawak especially Kuching to the world.
Pro tip: If you're going to plow thru a flooded road, wait behind a big truck... and when the truck moves, follow closely behind. It will displace the water for you like Moses did to the Red Sea. Just pray that it doesn't stop abruptly, else you're f-ed up.
were you in sabah between august and september? I'm asking because we're celebrating independance day and malaysia day during the months...where the flags were everywhere....
Sabah used to part of the Sultanate (kingdom) of Sulu under Sultan Kiram and it extended to Palawan, southern Mindanao (Tausug areas). There are still separatists around there. Like the U.S. flag it’s got 13 stripes for the 13 federalized states/sultanates.

Absolutely! My biggest concern was hitting some unseen pothole and dumping the bike!
That would have been potentially dangerous!
