Thank you so much for this. I am so sorry to hear about your injury due to TMS treatment. Terrifying. I had my first session today, did the mapping thing, I definitely fall in the group where I’m so desperate I’ll try anything. But thanks to this interview I will be on the lookout for things that aren’t right, and I’ve let my husband know too, so if we feel I need to stop I will. I am majorly depressed, have ptsd and severe anxiety, and am additionally doing EMDR therapy while I do the TMS to extra help. I am active, eat well, I exercise and run (helps my arthritis too), but there’s things I haven’t been able to shake still. The psychiatrist I am seeing absolutely has no worries about TMS, seems to be a common theme, but it’s a good thing to be skeptical about because… look at what can happen. Anyways, thanks again, much love.

The long term side affects r never given with ANY of these treatments meds too. How can Dr's do this after taking the hypocratic oath. I can't understand how meds r given to children either. All the meds and treatments cause brain damage and lead to worsening conditions and eventually dementia. Meds ruined my life. I wanted to get professional help after attempting suicide. We need to start holding these people accountable!

And - coming from a non-professional/lay person - why would we NOT think this would be harmful!! I was actually thinking of suggesting to my husband that he check this out for himself! (And I'm a person who doesn't even trust vaccines!) I guess we just get desperately seeking solutions. He is 78, has always had anxiety/panic attacks and now has tremors. His brothers also have depression/anxiety/panic attacks. One of them has had ECT treatments in the last couple years. What you are doing in researching and making it and your experience public is so important. Thank you. p.s. Also think back - there was a time when "medical professionals" would BLEED people!! 🥴

maybe check out this book: Dr. Georgia Ede "Change Your Diet, Change Your Mind" - sometimes its not that we need another 'treatment' or 'external thing' - but we need to look at what we're eating or putting in our bodies and, instead of adding things, take things away! Good luck to your husband.

I don’t understand when you say you found a young neurologist that believes you. But previously you said that your brain scan was not normal. So, if your scan was not normal every doctor that reviewed your scan would have had to believe you. A person I know had TMS treatments many years ago. She had no adverse symptoms and it improved her severe depression. The medication‘s were not working. I am sorry that you had a bad experience with your treatment which left you with a disability. The lesson to learn is we must leave a toxic job it is not worth are health. You are 100% correct Jobs do not care about their employees. We are all just a number and can be replaced very easily. We must be the CEO of our health. Please read the book The Myth of Normal. It will improve your mental and physical health it deals with the root cause of depression and anxiety.

Adjustments dont make a difference really. Def feel like im an outlier here. I would say the positive part comes from having gone through an intense experience. Green bananas, oats, beans, tofu, etc are just some of the foods that can pump up the dopamine that drives your motivation and happiness. It's just food, but it might be just what you need.
