Can i use standard 1/4 inch bits in the bit driver?
yes you can, i already tried it, however it will not locking place, you should use a bit with detent lock like the that is included with the multi-tool. Cheers!
@@BoredVader where could I buy those bits? Also I saw people modding a extremely similar Multitool called the multiforce which is also a clone of the wave by adding a magnet inside the bit driver to hold any bit have you tried that?
@@ydplays4002 AFAIK you can buy the bits from a local hardware or online, I haven't tried modding one with a magnet but that's a good idea, IMHO.
@@BoredVader no I have alr bits I'm talking about the special ones with the detent
unfortunately i haven't seen one for sale but will try to search for it, will let you know once I found it. Cheers!
Wave is not a perfect set of tools - Surge is! So why on earth someone would copy Wave so precisely? If they'd copy Surge in the size of Wave, it would be a winner. I mean they should get rid of the serrated blade and put big scissors instead.
The wave is the most well recieved thats why and also its still the best selling leatherman
@@StayCurious00 The size is so appealing that people choose Wave over Surge even though the tool set isn't that good. Just put big scissors and an awl in Wave and you have a winner and the money rushes to you. I think Leatherman only avoids making Wave perfect because they need to be smart in business, making enough variation in their models. It's only dumb for others to follow that path when they don't make complete series like that.
@@Heikki_Finland but there isnt really a perfect tool for everyone it just so happens that most people like the wave cause its more pocketable and thats what multi tools are for. Multi tools are not meant to replace dedicated tools they're just there to drive simple tasks and not to have every tool in the toolbox
The Surge is too bulky to be carried around.
'PromoSM' 😜
