If you know someone who has a surface grinder just get the bits you need and grind them down to fit. Just make sure you take the same amount off each side so the tips stay in the center that's what I done
I might need to try out the Signal/Wave clone it looks really interesting and worth a look. One of my favorite multi tool is actually a tool that was only sold at Menards which is a store mostly found in the Midwest. A couple of years ago Menards discontinued the tool and clearance the tool for a bit more than $10 so I bought a couple extra to have later.
A great show on comparison mate. There is nothing wrong with clones/low end multitools. We just need to use it wisely & know its limitation. Bought a few less expensive multitools & take them apart at which later we customised to suit our needs, making it more functional & performs much better than Leatherman by far. Have a great festive season & hopefully to see more of your amazing mod/customisation work in the new year. Cheers mate.! Greetings from Australia.
Great discussion! I’m a huge Leatherman fan and love the Wave platform! Over the last year, I have purchased 12 Wave clones. I’m lovin’ the two new models from Bi / Bury. Yes, I would love to see a regular blade on that new Bi / Bury! It will be interesting to see what happens over the next 12 months! I think it’s a huge wake up call for Leatherman to innovate! Leatherman should be leading the pack with a dozen different versions of the Wave! The real kick in the ass for Leatherman, was when the Multiforce was released with the 1/4 inch driver. Leatherman’s proprietary bits suck! Keep up the great work!

I have been rocking a Diacamping DL1 for a few months, and I absolutely love it! The DL1 is the "upgraded" clone that has a large outside scissor in place of the file and an awl in place of the inside scissors. In my opinion it's got the best tool set possible (I only wish it had a micro bit driver and not the fixed micro flat driver...which I changed to a sim card tool), I'll take the DL1 over any wave any day.
I got a DL1 and its pretty damn poor. I think QC is a problem, I can barely open my knife and it doesnt want to lock, had to make it quite loose to even get movement and my scissors just refuse to work consistenly. If it was better quality it would be absolutely awesome.
Can that bibury w/ the external scissors be modified into a single handle "knife?" Also do those scissors fit in the Multiforce considering they're likely from the same manufacturer?
Well, I bought a the B/Bury and also own a Victorinox Spirit X which is probably the nicest multitool you can buy. I also own an older Freestyle CX Leatherman which I love. BUT I have to say that the B/Bury seems like it can do everything the more expensive tools, especially the leathermans. The Victorinox are another level in my opinion as far as build, but the Leatherman's don't really feel that special in the hand in my opinion.
I have a BUNCH of Leatherman tools. But the one I have been using and always seem to grab is the Flissa. I’m currently deer hunting and actually used it to skin out 2 deer and trim limbs away from stands. My friends are cracking up because I never do things half ass. main appeal of the og wave? the warranty. I just sent mine in warranty because after 5-6 years the main pivot worked itself loose and the wire cutter was not working anymore, they sent it back with new jaws and new blades + scissors, which I didn't even think would need replacing, no questions asked.
The first multi-tool I bought was a Gerber and I regretted not paying more to buy a Leatherman PST. I did my research, primarily on Amazon reviews, and I was happy with my next purchases except for the SOG I bought many years ago. Now I look at Leatherman tools and I think 'where is the value in these things?' When I buy something - and I get this from both of my parents - it pleases me the most when I get a quality product for a good price. You can't get that anymore from Victorinox and Leatherman. I very recently bought some SOG Powerlitres directly from SOG and the price had been reduced from $65 to $52 and SOG gave me another 10% discount on top of the already discounted price. That made each SOG Powerlitre about $47. Now the can opener is horrible on the Powerlitre and the scissors could be better but otherwise the SOG Powerlitre is a pretty good product and I got that product at a really really good price. That's how I see these Wave copies from China too (although you'll have to prove to me how reliable the hammer is and whether the ferrocium rod works on the Bibury). Although a lot of the features on that Bibury camping tool look like they were derived from the Leatherman Signal and Surge you have to hand it to the Chinese for putting it all together in an original way at a price that makes it look like a really good value. You're right Dom it's good the Chinese are competing directly with Leatherman and Ruike knives is competing directly with Victorinox. It seems like organized crime has taken over Leatherman and Victorinox. Thanks for the video but it would be nice if someone like Corporals Corner and/or Junkyard Fox 'take the Bibury camping tool through it's paces.' Best wishes.
I bought the Walmart Multiforce last month and I couldn't close the multitool unless I pressed quite hard on it. I returned it. I've owned a Leatherman multitool since the 1990s.
This video has sent me down a rabbit hole of Leatherman Clones. I still have Leatherman and that is my favorite. But, oh man, i now have several others as well. And they are pretty good tools for 5he price. Thank you for this review.
I wonder if some US companies are going to start making their version of the wave. I'm hoping this patent expiration will be similar to the Benchmade axis lock patent expiration and we will see solid competitors.
Multi-tools get lost/stolen too. I had a brand new > $100 Leatherman stolen that I bought & carried to be helpful to someone in a jam. Which I often encountered as I only get around town by walking & biking. That steered me away from mult-tools. A whole tool set vanished. The most important thing I've learned from former military personnel who do survival videos is don't have your life depend on ONE tool. The saying is "One of something is none of something." Proprietary lock-in is a big consideration. I think a bigger one than having a backup. I only begrudgingly go proprietary if there's a significant improvement in performance/functionality that I need.
That was great . Really digging your attention to detail and possibility of combination. I'm on my 2nd wave and my oldest is on her first, the thing about the wire cutters is something I hadn't thought of,great stuff sir
My complaint with more recent waves I’ve purchased is I keep snapping the pliers and other tools. The pliers at least seem to be made of some kind of powdered metal that is quite brittle…I would expect forged at this price range
Hate to break it to you but true inflation has been around 18% a year for a while now. Companies have to pull a lot of tricks to make it seem like our dollar isn’t almost worthless. The tool you think should cost $150 would actually go for ~$400.
I like the idea of getting a clone, to see if you will actually use the tool. Let's face it, if you get the inexpensive version of the tool, and you never take it out of your pocket; you wasted that money. Now, if you use it everyday, then maybe think about investing in a higher quality version. That's why clones CAN BE good.
Sweet video! I never really had an appreciation for multi-tools until I came upon your channel. I’ve gotten at least weekly use out of the Gerber and Leatherman issued to me during my second and third deployments respectively and, until watching your videos, never thought much of them. Future video idea: best multi-tools to bring along on a trip to the range.
I agree..I think I made a point NOT to say they were better overall. Sometimes have better ideas..better design..but I'd rather have a leatherman or vic on my hip.
Honestly, it should be a wake up call to Leatherman to innovate. The last time they truly innovated was for the Free series. Maybe they’ll build further on the Free series or come up with a whole new platform, but something eventually has to give
Have you seen the Swiss Tech multi tool like these? Its all black with red pivot collars. I've only found it on Walmart online and eBay. They also made one similar the the sog baton.
I live in Aus & I only have Original Leatherman, love'em all, haven't come across any after market what we call leatherman that are so similar, the price & quality counts, enjoyed the vid 🍻😎😊
I bought a Bibury 21-1 multi tool a while back(about 2 years ago), as it was getting decent reviews online. It's been an absolute workhorse, and it's still going strong for me. Really good quality, amazing price.
The economics of clones got even better this morning. The Wave+ went up $10, as did the Signal. I couldn’t tell if others went up, but I suspect at least some others did. The Bond is still $60. The Surge is still $140. Prices for accessories also went up - bit extender from 20 to 25, ratchet driver from 30 to 35, bit kit from 24 to 30.
I feel like at the price point of leatherman tools, they should absolutely come with a lifetime warranty that includes the bits. I have shopped the leatherman products several times and every time I have, I talked myself out of buying because they are ridiculously expensive.
Both of these are now $29 right now. I don't recall it being that cheap before. But that's literally insane value. I ended up just buying the Leatherman Curl since I don't need a saw and would prefer a lighter tool. But good god, that's so crazy how close they are in cloning.
Will i be able to use a normal 1/4 hex #2 phillips bit in the clone bit driver? Standard bits would be shorter than that longer double sided bit given with the tool
What I really want to know I'd if the tools on the clones are parts compatible with the wave. My large flat head is usually the first thing to go and while I can send it in for warranty, if I decided to mod some part of it, I wouldn't be able to. I'd also like the option for a t-shank and the third party t-shank or even a spare t-shank holder are more than the cost of one of these clones. Also, I'm personally a fan of the standard flat bit. Id love to put the flat but holder on other smaller multitools.
Funny thing here is I purchased the Leatherman Rebar because I didn’t want to deal with non standard bits and I also found a craftsman mini ratchet that accepts 1/4” hex bits. Not perfect but a pretty good substitute. I was so close to buying the wave. But I also have a van full of tools if it gets too big or rough for what’s in my pocket. But these clones might be worth a good hard look. Especially with the bit extender.
I’ve been looking through your old videos and I just can’t find the one were you show the magnets you put into a ball detent bit holder to make it accept normal bits. I even looked on your Amazon shop and couldn’t find it. If you can either link the video or the magnets I would really appreciate it.
Of the clones you showcased which one do you like the best? You and others Ytubers have talked about the OZ Multiforce quite a bit. I had never heard of the Flissa before and the reviews on Amazon are only OK. I had seen one or two Bibury tools, but not the ones you showcased. Assuming I'm not going to start collecting all the clones and just want one, which one would you recommend? Or should I save up and get an actual Wave if this is probably going to be my only multitool? Thanks for the video!
@@maxlvledc Thanks for the follow-up. I think I'll swing by Wally World and pick one up. Looking forward to more great content next year. Happy Holidays!
Bought 2 of the Bibury 19-in-1. Both are smoother and heavier than the Surges I bought for 5 times the price. I lost 2 Leatherman's in the last 4 years so I paid 450 for 3 essentially. In the same time I would have spent 75 on 3 Biburys. Maybe the blades will wear out faster but probably not, but even if they do... ill buy another for 25 on Amazon or.... get this... SHARPEN IT... LOL. Goodbye Leatherman.
If you can't afford to lose it you can't afford to use it. I'd rather carry a tool that isn't such a big loss when I eventually leave it somewhere or it wanders off of its own accord.
Hey my driend ! you are a doctor multitool !! 👍🏻 i want to buy a leatherman bond for light and easy carry and think purchase other cheap multiforce or new bybury but... multiforce you say better sorry for my bad ingilsh 👊🏼👊🏼
This is kind of unrelated to the video but every time I see the Leatherman ratcheting extender attachment I always wonder if it works with the Steelman 10 in one screwdriver.
Like your work mate! Just found you again a couple of days ago! Good thoughts budget tools! I have a surge and a wingman and a small SOG that I really like! I bought 2 different wave clones and use them quite a lot the last 6 months and they are really Good! But in total they not close to the quality of the original:)
There is also the Maerd P6 with bonus the likes of spring loaded pliers, replaceable wire cutters, pocket clip and dolphin nosed scissors; a pretty good clone of the Wave and Wingman in one.
Tim Leatherman was a fool to increase the prices of his multitools, also foolish in not renewing the patent on his Wave because that multitool was his company's greatest seller. So I am not surprised these clones have entered the market. My collection of SAKs is pretty big now including a Ranger Grip 79, but I still have the Leatherman Wave and Surge, though over the years I modified them to suit my bushcrafting hobby whenever we go on vacation. You did a fair review. Still, I distrust clones because they cannot be entirely relied on, but many people have a limited amounts of money to afford the real McCoy.
I'm a huge fan of the wave, I have 2 of the originals that don't have replaceable wire cutters. Also the micra, which I was given as a gift at least 15 years ago and still carry daily, since my job doesn't allow any blades bigger than 2". I've had a variety of cheap knockoffs, all have sucked; to have cheap but non-garbage options is great to me. I'd like to see some Micra clones too! Most of the mini multi tools I've seen are utter trash.
Swiss+Tech has a decent clone, I have 3 Bibury varients and keep them in different bags. Leather man are too expensive for the amount of use I put them too.
It's so true. Not everyone have to start from hundred bucks zombie apocalypse adamantium multitool ;) I failed with my first clone but next one was absolute amazing. Great video !
Any chance you'd want to do a video on what Chinese manufacturers need to do to close the gap between them and American multitool makers vs what American multitool makers need to do to maintain or increase the gap? 🤔 Or maybe a speculation vid on the future of multitools? What would a mars colonist need in his pocket to get through the day to day? 😆
I own a wave plus. I got a multiforce and frankly I think it is better. The wave is less fat because of the flat bits and the file is a little better. However, I hate the flat bits. The multiforce uses real bits and extensions, the blades are on the ends of the arms instead of the plier joints which is so much better, and the scissors are superior. Plus the price is lower. My Leatherman rebar has no equal yet to me. The old school two handed clamshell Leatherman tools are still where they excel IMHO. The competition is all over waves and signals though. My Leatherman skeletool got a lot of pocket time until I got a SOG Powerpint which is now my most often carried multitool.
I got myself a Leatherman Wave Clone, it was the Daicamping DL12 (I think) from Aliexpress, shortly after placing the order I managed to acquire a Leatherman Wave Plus for an irresistible bargain price. Comparing them, the clone has two stand out features which for me personally are major wins, that's the outside accessible scissors and the 1/4" bit driver. The bit driver whilst not great, it's easy to solve the issues with a magnet. The quality of the materials and the fit and finish on the Leatherman completely out does the clone though. It just feels nicer and softer in the hand. I will likely modify the clone and remove the linear locks for the blades, so it becomes a UK legal carry, and perhaps use it as something to tinker with.
Wish Leatherman would up their hardness or tool steel on bit kits.......too soft....Maybe a destruction test on the bits to get Leatherman to up the quality......Also...Does anyone make Allen head bits to fit the drivers?
Nextool Flagship Captain came out recently. Looks like a compelling Leatherman Surge clone. Even looks to use the Leatherman flat bits. Would be a good one to add to the clone reviews.
If the patent on the Wave has run its course, are the flat bits out of time as well? If a tool company like Wiha could release properly hardened bits that fit the Leatherman drivers and have them individually available, they'd make a killing. If Leatherman has no interest in fixing the issue... Leatherman at this point just seem content to make money exploiting the faith and goodwill they've built up over the years by actually providing good tools at a good value for money, gouging customers for everything they're worth now days.
I've purchased a couple clones/knock-offs this year. I purchased an Alonefire S11 instead of the Rovyvon A5x, it's battery died after a year. One my son owned stopped working after 3 weeks. I purchased a knock-off Spyderco Delica. Good package opener, but I feel like it is going to break at the hinge if I try to even do something as simple as sharpening the end of a stick. All that to say, clones aren't always bad, but it does feel like a gamble with quality. Where clones thrive though, is they allow you to test-drive that type of tool to see if you really use it everyday. I used my S11 flashlight multiple times a day. I now know it wouldn't be a waste of my money to upgrade to the Rovyvon. The fake Spyderco let me learn that I disliked that blade shape and I later purchased a Victorinox pioneer x, which I enjoy way more.
Ya those legs you refer too also have hands that walk away with more than just your leatherman. Especially if you leave it close to your wallet and your watch and goes by the name of mahoney
i dont know if i get this correct but .. leatherman is us made wich i think is good to support the few companys that keeps jobs in us or any other country than china ? also yeah you pay "double" price for an leatherman but you can also go to ANY sport/tool store in the WORLD wich sells leatherman products and get super good warranty help for free ? only for 25years that is ? thats worth the double price for me
Good point.. most of the importatn things about tool is durability and reliability, so Leatherman has own that. BUT It is overkill for most of people(incl me) even in pros! If someone break out multitools and need repair and also requires warranty for that, I think it is wrong. You shouldn't do that such high stress work on multitools.
@@MJSeo13 yeah agreed if you use a leatherman correctly it should last a LONG time . i have one for edc at home and one for edc at work . the work one gets used in the wrong way ALOT because i have to . the reason i buy what i can with decent quality and long lasting warranty is simply because if a company gives you 25years warrant it oftens says something about their trust in the product. not always but mostly
@@sebastianhettervik4579 Right. For right use on the most jobs can't beat'em Leatherman's. That is why i love my Surge, and also hate'em.. It's kind of hard to get backup's(Like EDC, Camping or my BOB) because due to the high value of exchange rate, it's too expensive even in korea(Wave costs around 160$ in kr), That's why these 'clones' are appealing to me. But besides for the money, Leatherman is indeed the best. As you mentioned Long Warranty means quality of prouduct is awesome.
Funny, nowadays while the outu which I own is a fun little knife. I don't have the buck 732 which I really wish to have. I do have my bivy clone which is probably one of the very best of the kind. And then there is that veltev, or at least the many clones of it. I ended up to get one, I not sure about my own blade sharpness. But the rest is pretty much it. I mean I got mine for 14$ approximatively
Hopefully someone at Leatherman isn't asleep at the wheel and sees that the Chinese cutting and pasting different parts into multitools that cost 1/3rd the price are going to eventually make something impressive that steals significant market share from Leatherman just from the law of averages. 😆
I've to rant a bit about complaining about not having a full straight blade knife on a multi-tool. You're carrying a multi-purpose tool in the event that you might have an unexpected need for it. It has a multi-purpose combo knife blade in the event you need to unexpectedly cut something. Go figure! A serrated edge is far more useful. They'll generally stand up to far more use & abuse w/o maintenance. If you use it first whenever possible, you'll always have a sharp straight edge for when you really need to make a precise cut. Pro-tip, if the multi-tool has scissors, an awl/reamer, package opener, you'll never need to use it for paper, cardboard, plastic or similar things people use a straight edge knife that usually has a specific grind that makes it well suited for specific cutting tasks. I want to spend less time & energy maintaining, worrying about or obsessing over blade steels in regards to edge retention, cutting performance, edge grinds, etc and just use the tool and get on with living the rest of my life.

When the original PST came out in 1983, it was $45. $45 in 1983 is about $115 in today's money.
So, yeah, Leatherman tools have always been expensive.
Yep. Ppl forget that part. In fact..the bond...which is basically the pst..is only 60...so that's crazy.

I agree, I don't have time or energy for the use style reviews. I'm more of the initial inspection kind of person.
Bits are back on leatherman's site for $24. So worth it vs aftermarket prices
yep, they have been back for a while..but they are still out of stock at most physical stores.
I just ordered a bibury 19 in 1. They've added a pocket clip but I also heard their scissors are pretty good too
They are wave comparable for sure.
I wonder if some US companies are going to start making their version of the wave. I'm hoping this patent expiration will be similar to the Benchmade axis lock patent expiration and we will see solid competitors.
the big 3 in America are completely asleep at the wheel.
USA is slow in everything.
Leatherman bits sets are at Sportsmans Warehouse brick and mortar.
That's a new one! Good to know!
The saying is "One of something is none of something."
Proprietary lock-in is a big consideration.
You can get mini standalone ratchet arms (in witch you can also put the Leatherman bits) for cheaper and better.
Yep
How are the knife blades on these models compared to the Wave? Is it possible and economical to put a Wave blade on these tools? Thanks.
Sweet video! I never really had an appreciation for multi-tools until I came upon your channel. I’ve gotten at least weekly use out of the Gerber and Leatherman issued to me during my second and third deployments respectively and, until watching your videos, never thought much of them.
Future video idea: best multi-tools to bring along on a trip to the range.
hmm, I'd say ST300M or Mut, ST300M is way way better value though.
But are the clones builts as well and have the same warranty? Also, good luck trying to find replace cutters for the Flissa multi tool.
I agree..I think I made a point NOT to say they were better overall. Sometimes have better ideas..better design..but I'd rather have a leatherman or vic on my hip.
@@maxlvledc that's true you didn't say they were better haha. I also agree, I ordered my first Victorinox yesterday.
Honestly, it should be a wake up call to Leatherman to innovate. The last time they truly innovated was for the Free series. Maybe they’ll build further on the Free series or come up with a whole new platform, but something eventually has to give
I did a video on a pattent that shows an upgrade.
Have you seen the Swiss Tech multi tool like these? Its all black with red pivot collars. I've only found it on Walmart online and eBay. They also made one similar the the sog baton.
Not interested, it shows no advantage over these
@@maxlvledc I'm interested in it but not at $50
Any chance you could test to see if those scissors from the Biburry 22 in 1 would fit in a charge?
Awesome video and a great comparison! Thank you for your insight into these other options.
Great vid. Where can I find the double-end 1/4" ball detent bits? I don't know if I'm searching wrong but I can't find any.
Klein makes a ton of drivers that use them
I live in Aus & I only have Original Leatherman, love'em all, haven't come across any after market what we call leatherman that are so similar, the price & quality counts, enjoyed the vid
🍻😎😊
I bought a Bibury 21-1 multi tool a while back(about 2 years ago), as it was getting decent reviews online. It's been an absolute workhorse, and it's still going strong for me. Really good quality, amazing price.
The economics of clones got even better this morning. The Wave+ went up $10, as did the Signal. I couldn’t tell if others went up, but I suspect at least some others did. The Bond is still $60. The Surge is still $140. Prices for accessories also went up - bit extender from 20 to 25, ratchet driver from 30 to 35, bit kit from 24 to 30.
Looks like prices haven’t yet changed on Amazon, so there may be a brief opportunity to avoid the increases.
Bond was 50, the surge was 130. Both went up
I think the Bibury Hammer not having two blades is stupid, but it does have the bi-directional saw the Leatherman lacks 👍
I always thought 2 blades was dumb personally..🤷♂️
@@maxlvledc Not for camping, flat blade for feather sticks & carving, serrated for cutting meat, rope and wood fibres.
I feel like at the price point of leatherman tools, they should absolutely come with a lifetime warranty that includes the bits.
I have shopped the leatherman products several times and every time I have, I talked myself out of buying because they are ridiculously expensive.
Personally if I really like something even if it's a dollar and I loose it I'm still heartbroken lol
I agree it's very annoying that you can't buy individual bits from leatherman... so frustrating!!!
Standard bits would be shorter than that longer double sided bit given with the tool
yes it will work with a magnet installed.
Are all of the replaceable wire cutter blades interchangeable? If not where are you supposed to get replacements?
Yes, and where is a much harder question to answer.
The multiforce is still my pick.and if you ever upgrade you can still turn it into a pocket knife.
@@maxlvledc I see a trip to Wally world in my future 🤔
Still have the Leatherman wave I bought the year it came out. Never had an issue.
Is that an extension with a ratchet on it and where can I find it
I’ve been looking through your old videos and I just can’t find the one were you show the magnets you put into a ball detent bit holder to make it accept normal bits. I even looked on your Amazon shop and couldn’t find it.
If you can either link the video or the magnets I would really appreciate it.
you need a 6mm by 1mm disk magnet. many placed to get them. cheers.
What do think about the ozark 15 and 1 multi tool?
I'd skip all others but the multiforce
Of the clones you showcased which one do you like the best? You and others Ytubers have talked about the OZ Multiforce quite a bit. I had never heard of the Flissa before and the reviews on Amazon are only OK. I had seen one or two Bibury tools, but not the ones you showcased. Assuming I'm not going to start collecting all the clones and just want one, which one would you recommend? Or should I save up and get an actual Wave if this is probably going to be my only multitool? Thanks for the video!
The bibury 19-in-1 for $30 is really hard to beat..but I personally prefer the Walmart multiforce
LOL. Goodbye Leatherman.
there also is a couple of chinese clone, one even have spring assist pliers
Do you think the bibury could be modified to swap the whistle/fire starter with a bit driver instead?
nope
If you can't afford to lose it you can't afford to use it. I'd rather carry a tool that isn't such a big loss when I eventually leave it somewhere or it wanders off of its own accord.
signal ferro rod can be rotated without an issue... atleast mine can be rotated
Which one of the Clones do you prefer or in your opinion the best clone?
Multiforce still leads imo
@@maxlvledc thank you sir
@@maxlvledc Compared to the improved 19 in 1 bibury, what is it better at?
Hey my driend ! you are a doctor multitool !! 👍🏻 i want to buy a leatherman bond for light and easy carry and think purchase other cheap multiforce or new bybury but... multiforce you say better sorry for my bad ingilsh 👊🏼👊🏼
This is kind of unrelated to the video but every time I see the Leatherman ratcheting extender attachment I always wonder if it works with the Steelman 10 in one screwdriver.
technically yes
I got the flissa today! I'm happy with it for $26. Good for my gymbag
Like your work mate! Just found you again a couple of days ago! Good thoughts budget tools! I have a surge and a wingman and a small SOG that I really like! I bought 2 different wave clones and use them quite a lot the last 6 months and they are really Good! But in total they not close to the quality of the original:)
If a tool works within your system it’s a good tool regardless of who makes it.
I bought one of the flissa and it's been the best one I've ever had for 27 bucks I've lost to many to buy brand name anymore
Does anyone prefer combo blades over straight edge?
I don't mind them if they are done well.
No!
I hate combo blades!
I hate combo blades also. They are a compromise between the two separate blades and not as good as either by themselves.
Short and simple: American companies need to get their head out of there ass and start connecting with their consumers, and fast.
A Mars colonist needs a "Tesla Tool." Rechargable!
Why do they always put a combo blade on these multitools?????
The Flissa looks perfect but cant get it in Germany:/
They don't care, Gerber doesn't care, only thing that makes them change is the bottom line
Nextool Flagship Captain came out recently. Looks like a compelling Leatherman Surge clone. Even looks to use the Leatherman flat bits. Would be a good one to add to the clone reviews.
Thanks!! Been enjoying (and buying) the various top picks in your comparisons.
Can someone tell me how the Bibury 19 in 1 metal file works?
This last one isn't a clone, it's a competitor.
True..
try the Bibury 21-in-1 ... this is EPIC and so much better then the 19-1 and the 21-in-1 is IMHO 99,9% the quality of L for 30 euro
I have it..not good weight..materials are worse, and the bit driver doesn't accept anything but the bits it comes with.
Thanks for finally making the vid..😊
they are 100% asleep at the wheel, that or they have a marketing team with an average age of 86.
thanx for the informative video, actually competition makes the strong even stronger and helps the weak to die faster, natural selection!
Nice.
At least I ain't gonna spend any money on Lman bits..
I want to spend less time & energy maintaining, worrying about or obsessing over blade steels in regards to edge retention, cutting performance, edge grinds, etc and just use the tool and get on with living the rest of my life.
the serrated blade thing I can agree with. I'm just not a fan of partial blades unless its like a victorinox which has the serrations on the end.
You can talk about your new fix blade in your next video? I wanna see an review
