I like her voice, too! Minimalism intrigues me, but too many content creators in this category seem to be whispering or going in the direction of ASMR. I'm sure that's calming to some people, and it's sweet if women want to be soft-spoken, but I just can't stand videos like that. I don't know who decided we all want ASMR effects like hearing people moisten their own lips, but it wasn't me.

Glad you used the washing machine dye idea. It really refreshes clothes.if you wish you had chosen the black sandals, in the past I have used a sharpie permanent marker and /or shoe polish to make something black. Maybe try on the underneath of the strap and see what happens?

I have some fancy wireless headphones that my husband got me for Christmas. I still use the wire instead of the Bluetooth because:
1) I can be bothered with charging it
2) I'm an old school girl and still prefer my wires
3) I know that the wire won't betray me, unlike batteries, so I don't get anxious about running out of "juice" 😊
I rarely wash (hand wash) wool sweaters, probably less than once a year, even a secondhand acrylic sweater I rarely throw in the washer, just spot clean stains. I admire your tenacity Ana, living with impermanence must really focus the mind on what's necessary.
I agree. I wash my wool sweaters (also gently hand wash about once a year). Wool naturally repels dirt and I think in general, our ancestors who wore undergarments they washed frequently rather than everything else) had the right idea.
I've had a him about over washing, I ruins the very fabric, wool, comforters and so forth! U R right!
Since we just moved we are finding out how many things we have multiples of which we don’t need. We are in the weeding out process and your video inspired me to go back to the closets and drawers for another look. ❤️❤️❤️

Love your videos, you’re so lovely! I have schizophrenia and Asperger’s and I would never be able to be a nomad because of this.
I loved this video about the things you own only one of. It is so inspiring to see with how little one can do. What I only own one of? Also a laptop, an old airbook which needs to be repaired because the 'r' key doesn't work reliably. I also only have one note stand and I am seriously tempted to buy a second one, so I have one which I don't unscrew and tighten all the time because the screws stop working well.
Not a sidenote: I think you look so beautiful with the colors of your hair and blouse and the elegant jewelry.

I admire you for being able to make do with the basics. I have been ridding out for the past three years. I would love to exist with just only what I need. So many people get sucked into materialism and it such a waste of time, money and energy. I am 68 and wish I would have had your mindset at your age.

Hi Ana, I subscribe whole heartedly with your minimalist wardrobe. Many of the cherished clothing items I own have been with me for decades. My winter jacket was purchased in 1979 and it has held up extremely well. Those headphones of yours probably sound great. As a retired musician I can attest to the quality of older audio equipment. So hold on to those if you can. New stuff is inferior. Another category I keep to a minimum are friends and family connections. The network of those I have close ties with is small. I cherish my solitude and independence. 🤥😅
You must care for yourself as you age. Start assessing your weaknesses and reason out what you will probably need. Then make a personal plan for living through infirm or convalescent periods. If there are present preparations you can make, do so. For example, it is smart to own a cane or walking stick before you actually need one.

I only buy black pants, go with everything, I wear shorts all year round. Better quality / fabrics last for years. Actually, when it comes to jackets and coats, I don't like close fitting, I want it roomie. Wool is a "keeper".

Great length, way no too short, not to long, looks manageable healthy, relaxed with a Whispersync here and there.
I really enjoyed your video about the things you only own one of as a nomad minimalist, especially when you shared details on where the things came from, your reasons for having them, their durability etc. This year, I have worked on downsizing our possessions and found that we owned multiples of many things such as scissors. We currently live in a very large house and it was convenient to have scissors in different rooms. It was difficult to decide which to let go because they all had different attributes. I find the same dilemma with quite a few items and I'm trying to let go of my perfectionism and need for safety and control. Have a great week :)

I was curious about your face cream so I looked for a source here in the States. The least expensive one I see is $20! I may try it in the future because it's a little less than the one I use now and I'm curious to try something different.

I enjoyed your video Ana. I had to laugh when you said "you only need one" measuring tape. I must have at least 6 or 7, most of which I bought for a dollar. I never seem to have a measuring tape handy and have several so I can always find one when I need it, lol. Even so, I still can't always find one when I need one. I suppose one day when I finish decluttering and reorganizing, I will not need so many of them. I haven't yet got to the point of decluttering and organizing all the sewing items. I'm hard pressed to think of something I only own one of unless you count appliances or electric tools.I'm the type who always wants backups. You can imagine why I have too much clutter.

I love these videos where you show us things you own! I’m going to go look Uniqlo up online after this. And I love your crocs! Crocs seem to last forever. I wear crocs all the time. And thank you for having a swimsuit. I debate whether to keep my swimsuit all the time, but even if you get a chance to swim infrequently, you still need a suit, don’t you? Very fun video. She is sort of kinda a refugee, possibly minimum monies for certain foods, that may or may not be available where she is.
I had friends visit Finland, an acquaintance AND his family, they went to Russia for a day, close by, each grocery store had empty shelves, zero food, tons of citizens walking but not talking. I wish I had asked more questions about both Countries.
I think they were exhausted and glad to be back, couldn't sleep, I stayed daylight the entire time HA, their stay was served bloody, their guest advised add ketsup, won't see the blood. I'm sire there was culture shock. Their impression of Finland was all wealthy, no poverty.

I personally don't like wireless headphones, they can be very inconvenient because you have to charge them. I already spend a lot of money trying differents brands and types of wireless and I always come back to my old cord headphone.

Hello Ana. What temperature did you use to dye your clothes? We did it today, it said 90 °C, but we totally forgot that the clothes were not supposed to be washed at more than 30 °C. They're drying now. I wonder whether they'll still be good...
I'm almost completely sure your clothes will be okay if it's not wool. For dyeing cotton and linen items I used a 60°C cycle as far as I remember.

Poly, is one of the worst fabrics to hold up AND last, also, it's a fabric, if caught on fire, it !melts to ur skin.
O recently realized I have% poly piece, I have zero idea how.

Краску покупала в Сербии, она была французского производства, и в России такую не встречала(( Но несколько лет назад я красила белый муслиновый шарфик краской из магазина lelekahobby (заказывала онлайн), анонсировался цвет "графит", а в итоге получился очень сложный, темно-сине-фиолетовый. Я до сих пор этот шарфик ношу - не выцветает, не линяет, так что это был успех. Юникло я покупала онлайн тоже, когда у них еще были физические магазины в России. Сейчас они вроде как "ушли с рынка", однако ж на ламоде вовсю продаются (один мой близкий родственник подтвердил подлинность и качество купленных там вещей😁)
@@anagoldberg Спасибо, поищу эту краску) А про то, что у нас все продается, это да. Только цены выше раза в три, но это уже детали. Я почему-то не была впечатлена соотношением состав \ цена, когда была в их магазине в Москве, много синтетики - я ее совсем не ношу.
I never seeing myself as minimalist. Maybe it has been so visceral on me that i didnt noticed or seems as important to categorize myself as such. Only thing i'm not minimalist is when i do my recently learned sweet popcorn watching a good and old movie 😊
