Warframe has always been my comfort game but after several update i have to learn to play it again and thanks for this video it kinda hype me up again in this game to began my grind cause i need to catch up
This is exactly what I dislike in combination with what iFlynn doesn't like. It's bad enough that I need to engage in side content to progress some factions and get some items, but when I do try to engage with it, I'm all of a sudden forced to stop and fight.
My girlfriend got me into Warframe (she has been away for a few years herself). After two weeks now, I am addicted, but also frustrated. It seems like every single activity and system in this game is unnecessarily clunky and complicated, from trying to group with others to each individual system (factions, planet rep, liches/sisters, builds for frames/weapons/companions/archwing/trashcan (I mean necramech), events, eidolons, etc. etc. etc.) requires hours of reading guides and watching videos to BEGIN to wrap one's head around it...because there's so little synergy between them. It feels like this is a patchwork game where every year it got a whole new dev team who tacked on a new system completely ignoring all of the other systems already there. To anyone considering playing Warframe...it requires a HUGE time investment and is the most Casual unfriendly game I've ever experienced.
The beginning of this video is why I've barely touched any content for a long time. i dont even know where I'm at in the story (think the last mission I did was for Harrow). I just enjoy the gameplay loop of Warframe. The combat and action. I dont really care to grind for shit, i dont care for doing whatever is the new content grind. I've bought with platinum most everything I own. I still havent unlocked Steel Path and still basically only play those "outdated game modes". The Duvari Paradox, the rouge-lite aspect of it, I had absolutely 0 interest in (Actually I stopped playing shortly after this was released). I dont care for any of the Operator content, because I play Warframe to play IN my Warframe. Really, like 75% of Warframe is something I really dont have any interest in. I havent even tried the majority of content I feel. I just like to drop into missions and kill a bunch of shit. That said, one aspect of Warframe I love, is the very very beginning. Where you actually want to go slow, snipe enemies, stealth kill enemies, etc. I love that part of Warframe (and sometimes I play solo just to do that on missions). But its a part of Warframe that doesnt actually exist since you're supposed to go through and nuke maps as fast as possible.
Because it’s fashion. It’s literally just destiny but as warframe. Ofc there’s different gameplay mechanics for sure but in the end. It’s all about the fashion
I’m a mr8 playing for the first time and it’s almost impossible to get plat without buying it. Putting up 20+ listings for the lowest price but no one will buy because everyone already has everything since they make it so easy to get now
Ahh the grinding, just came to this video because I haven't played like in 2 years. I'm exhausted just hearing about grinding, not like I want to do more work after getting home from work.
If your treating any game like a job then don’t play it lmao(unless it IS your job). You can take this game at your pace and still get caught up even with just 1 hour a day as a new player(2 hours for the longer quests) within a year. Nothing in the game is mandatory even if it feels like it is. Even deep archamedia and netracells ain’t needed to be stupidly powerful. (Though they do make the process of getting powerful quicker).
I created account many years back and played in total 5h, I did not know much what to do so I stopped quite early, now after years I seen some positive feedback about game and decided to give it a shot and I have fun so far! Star map with quests give quite clear path to progress, I have to say that slots locked behind platinum without existence of market would be for me years back instant roadblock, but these days I am fine to spend some cash to support good games, so I do not have that problem. Lets see how will be game in longrun, for now it feels a bit like mass mob killing, good story quests (with amazing music) and collection game. I am a bit lacking decent boss fights, mostly have boss mechanics which completely prevent you doing damage (which is not fun btw) or very small spot to hit to do damage which is not really inline with my Excalibur melee playstyle so also not much fun, but maybe it will get better.
I haven’t played since Umbral Exal. I came back last month and was just overwhelmed and totally lost on really what to do. I tried to find my way within the week but ultimately was just still lost so I just uninstalled. Wish it gave idk a more like a helpful hand imo
I never understood this let's call it "excuse", you played till the sacrifice, left then came back, your first thought wasn't to check the codex for quests? Maybe the starchart or Nora. You already were familiar with the game. This is what i did when coming back to any game after a break, quests, map, events if any. How are you and others overwhelmed by lotus saying "new quests have been added to your codex". You don't unlock anything before you play quests, it is simple as that. I blame the players that need a handholding moment.
Whenever a player returns to the game, the first step is to focus completing the star chart. The starchart is the one of the first things they show you in the tutorial when you get your ship and that's what they expect the player to look towards on what to do next. There are many improvements that could be made to help returning players and new players, and they are making those improvements (overtime, but it's better than never). But a part of it is definitely user error. Did you ever think like... "I want to get this new thing" when you came back and tried to look up in game how to get it? Item descriptions in the shop usually tell you where to get that thing. If a quest has prerequisites, the game will tell you what quests you need to finish to do it. Of course, you're in your own right to close the game because you're confused as many players are when they first open up the modding menu. That's on the fault of the developer. They also did add a check list on what you should do next in the navigation menu (mostly applies to quests).
@@thatonepenguinperson618 what is there to improve, how can DE make the game easier for returning or new players, do we need yellow markers around the orbiter, do we need new dialogue of lotus breaking the 4th wall telling us "you've been away from the game too long, you need handheld directions". The worst thing a developer can do is force you to click and do stuff in game for 30-60 mins instead of letting you explore the game. Warframe is very simple minded game. It's infuriating when i hear players, the game is too hard or confusing, if you were paying attention for 5 secs the game tells you how to play.
your definitely right about the connection issues. for me for some damn reason it only happens when i try to do anything duviri related or fissure related. and by connection, i mean i disconnect, but then sometimes outta absolutely nowhere my game crashes. not the console, the game itself. cri lol
In Duviri if you don't get the frame you want play solo the first mission and the frames and weapons change. But pls do it in solo.A lot of people do it in public and it is frustrating for people who got a good frame or weapon and want to stay for many rounds.
DE has done a lot of QoL, and while they do BS stuff like the Dante nerf, they did great with making the game more accesible. Very worth to play IF YOU THINK YOU WILL HAVE FUN
I hardly ever play warframe but, to be honest, the thing I love about the game is the community. I have NEVER once met a toxic active Warframe player (those that have dumped years & money into the game). Pretty much every interaction I have had so far with the community was very nice/polite.
Good video ngl I don't say this often but your analysis was well thought out and structured well in my opinion I've been considering coming back played a few nights recently but fell off really quickly.
I think the two biggest problems Warframe has right now. Restricting your arsenal with RNG. This sucks ass, and this is coming from a player that always loved to have as much warframes/weapons on at least a "usable" state. Wanting to play with a certain setup and getting the exact opposite on circuit (or the new game mode I guess) just makes me want to close the game. The other problem is the way standing farmings work now. Having to grind the plumes (or Vocas on the new tileset) is BORING af. So much that I didn't even bothered with the cavia reputation yet, even when the new game mode is walled behind it.
Don’t worry, deep archimedia forces you to play frames or weapons that may not work. It’s not quite the same system, but equally as infuriating. I recommend bounties and parallax orokin eye air support for those kind of farms tho.
"Warframe used to be about putting together the best loadout possible" Wrong. Warframe has and always will be about making your frames look cool. Fashionframe IS the endgame
I played anthem and loved it (minis the lack of content) so had to put it down. Then it died. Played destiny 2 and loved it for quite some time. Never played warframe.
I remember last year I came back to warframe after taking a 7 year break. I was so confused and the game didnt even bother to tell me what I should be doing.
You don't have to fish or mine or do anything like that, you can buy the things you want with platinum. You can earn platinum by selling stuff to other players, theres an entire player driven economy.
The game is truly free. Of course its worth it. Will you get hundreds of hours in it? Yes. At some point though you will find the game loop empty and you'll likely put it down and come back after a break from it. I had 100s of hours in the game but the most recent expansion made me stop playing. Once i saw ANOTHER syndicate to be grinded and leveled up I just decided to put it down. Its still a fantastic game and the best truly free game in existence. I think they also need to tone down the on screen visual pollution. I know there is a setting to lessen it but it really doesnt change how much crap is all over the screen during combat. Its chaotic and messy.
What do you mean by people aren't buying full prime sets as much anymore? The accessibility only changed from prime resurgance and yet you still need to crack them and farm aya to obtain that many relics for multiple sets. People will buy, as always, to skip that farm.
It's just a fact that the price of prime sets over the years have declined as relics + parts have become more accessible. Supply and demand! Economics! Or something like that.
I often find myself playing till I’ve done all the new content and grind some more prime frames untill I get bored of grinding and there no new content then I take a 6 month to a year break and come back and I always get addicted again Warframe will always have a place on my pc library I can’t play capture missions over and over they are just boring I’d rather take a little longer and do a survival or excavation unless Im in a hurry I’m currently MR 18 on pc I was MR 25 on ps4 tho before i bought a pc but I’ve noticed the game has gotten less grindy since the PlayStation days I have more stuff on my pc account than I did on my ps4 account even tho I was way higher MR on PlayStation. I permanently retired from this game. I'll give soulframe a try when that comes out, but warframes gameplay formula just isn't for me anymore. Just started, think I’m MR8? Silver disciple. Have 10 warframes, 2 prime. As well as a handfull of maxed out weapons and mods. Someone recommended I start off with duviri. Played a lot about a decade ago. Any pointers are appreciated.
I've got permanent burnout from warframe. Duviri released and I thought I would return... but the drifter gameplay was so terrible it literally made me nauseous when I tried to play it. At this point, they've added so many things that it feels like the experience I gained playing this game for years is useless. Older players warned DE that the game would become so cluttered that it would be impossible for players to keep up and for the developers to balance. There was a time where DE had a choice to improve the systems they already created, integrate them properly and really give the game a solid thematic structure that ties into a deeper story... instead they chose to add completely new content and ignore the foundations they built, over and over they kept repeating that.. over and over. Now it's just a mess with no real soul in it. Appreciate the memories, I love this game, but I will likely not be returning ever. God speed, Tenno.
A friend got me back into warframe but im not gonna lie to you everything seems so boring from the open world to anything else I’m experiencing and it’s been a long time since i downloaded this game back.
I remember watching iFlynn when I started years ago and he was contemplating stopping WF. I dropped this waste of time of game before he did and now the algorithm brought is together again. Been having more value for money and time doing coke.
I played since one of the closed test cycles maybe 12-13yrs ago? I stopped playing around when Revenant was released. This game fit the perfect balance between solo and online play. Reading a few of the other comments, I tend to agree that the game just got stale. It was a lot of the same with each content release. I actually think it's exciting for a dev team to finally move on and take all their lessons learned and make something even better. I bet there are changes DE wants to make to Warframe that they just cant. Completely overhauling the system just doesn't make timely or economic sense. I wouldn't want any of my time back since I had some of my favorite gaming memories with my clan. I wouldn't be upset with the Devs full retirement of Warframe so that their resources can be fully dedicated to the next project.
You last played 5.5 years ago? Why do you think anyone would care about your opinion re shuttering the game? How arrogant do you have to be to even offer your opinion on this matter?
Watched so many Vids on how to begin, however anything older than a few months turns out to be useless, and peoples idea of BEGINNER is ridiculous. Snailing my way throught the learning process, and learning more by myself than any video. LikeJesus is there even a tutorial for basic combat moves, nowhere, not in codex not in Wiki, not in anything. Just a basic "how do" would Go a Gazillion miles. Instead every UA-cam vid is for people with yonks of experience and Noobs like me are listening to galactic greek. No F'inng clue what you gabbing about.
I havent played for ages so Im worried about having to continue from where I stopped, not knowing everything again is something that bothers me as I don't know where to start/continue
I came back after stopping a few years ago. I grinded lots of credits and ducats to get all the primed mods when tennocon started. I achieved my goal but the hours and hours of mindless relic cracking and credit farming wiped me out. Now that I'm back I don't remember what I was planning to do next nor do I have any idea what I should do so I'm kind of stuck lol.

And I really don't know who thought it was a good idea to let other players force you into other missions, just because you got paired with them for one mission. But that immediately turned me off from this game. This is kinda why I don't like games like this, cause unless your here at the start, might as well never pick it up.

Good to see some new warframe content from you
I kinda hate how I literally had this game installed from the beginning but never gave it a chance after those first few games.
I honestly love this game a lot, even if most of the time is overwhelming with the information you need to get something, and l came to realize myself,l spend most of the time on youtube or Warframe Wiki and just reading and trying to understand how it works rather then playing.Maybe i'm playing the game wrong but am not sure how to enjoy it better.
Warframe has always been my comfort game but after several update i have to learn to play it again and thanks for this video it kinda hype me up again in this game to began my grind cause i need to catch up
i dont mind fishing and such much but the fact each time i try i get swarmed by foes, gets quite tiresome..
This is exactly what I dislike in combination with what iFlynn doesn't like. It's bad enough that I need to engage in side content to progress some factions and get some items, but when I do try to engage with it, I'm all of a sudden forced to stop and fight.
Loki is my fishing frame
Glad ur back bro! Just came back myself and am exponentially more powerful than I was before. It was way less annoying to get there too.
Your just like me
I've played the game on and off since release but I've never really played end game because I never knew what to do..
Gotta be some of the best movement in a game period tho I just love it they got it bang on
I haven’t played since Umbral Exal. I came back last month and was just overwhelmed and totally lost on really what to do. I tried to find my way within the week but ultimately was just still lost so I just uninstalled. Wish it gave idk a more like a helpful hand imo
Its a mess and still has one of the worst UI's in gaming
I never understood this let's call it "excuse", you played till the sacrifice, left then came back, your first thought wasn't to check the codex for quests? Maybe the starchart or Nora. You already were familiar with the game.
This is what i did when coming back to any game after a break, quests, map, events if any. How are you and others overwhelmed by lotus saying "new quests have been added to your codex". You don't unlock anything before you play quests, it is simple as that. I blame the players that need a handholding moment.
Tactical Potatoes haves a nice video for returning players
I started playing two weeks ago and I'm addicted AF
DE has done a lot of QoL, and while they do BS stuff like the Dante nerf, they did great with making the game more accesible.
Very worth to play IF YOU THINK YOU WILL HAVE FUN
Happy ur back 😊
Great video as always, bud
I hardly ever play warframe but, to be honest, the thing I love about the game is the community. I have NEVER once met a toxic active Warframe player (those that have dumped years & money into the game). Pretty much every interaction I have had so far with the community was very nice/polite.
Forma per day is my biggest issue since i want to rework most of my builds
Good video ngl I don't say this often but your analysis was well thought out and structured well in my opinion I've been considering coming back played a few nights recently but fell off really quickly.
It's fun coming from a destiny 2 player 😅but it's so much to do and you just drop in get to grinding
I absolutely love the felarx and the laetum I can use them in my Loki and get lots of DMG and kills because the incarnon forms wreck on any frame
I also kind of love duviri because it gets me to think about other weapons and Warframes I do not usually use or even think about
"Warframe used to be about putting together the best loadout possible"
Wrong. Warframe has and always will be about making your frames look cool. Fashionframe IS the endgame
Helmith cost is insane. 11+ years the burn from farming gets worse.
How would you compare warframe to destiny 2?
I played anthem and loved it (minis the lack of content) so had to put it down. Then it died. Played destiny 2 and loved it for quite some time. Never played warframe.
I remember last year I came back to warframe after taking a 7 year break. I was so confused and the game didnt even bother to tell me what I should be doing.
I mean once you can do steel path more comfortably then you good
I'm only 21hrs in 😅. Tips? I won some armor and don't even know how to get it out of my inventory
You don't have to fish or mine or do anything like that, you can buy the things you want with platinum. You can earn platinum by selling stuff to other players, theres an entire player driven economy.
It's so strange I've always heard of Warframe but never played it.
What i do not like at all is Duviri, as everything there is slower
I love this dude
warframe the cycle of installing and uninstalling after a bit.
1million percent. I personally play on 3 dif accounts
@@xiFlynn Makes sense. For whatever reason I was thinking you meant a big change. This eclipse was a total rip clouds mostly covered it.
I remember I stopped playing when duviri came out because I don’t like the fact you have to use random Warframes it just feels a chore
I permanently retired from this game. I'll give soulframe a try when that comes out, but warframes gameplay formula just isn't for me anymore. Tired of the same type of content reskinned in different areas of the game such as capture, defense, and ect. Besides, as a destiny player, I only have room in my life for one live service grind game, and I found that warframes content revolves more around grinding.
Destiny isn't any better either.. I've played for over 3 thousand hours.. every weapon is reskinned and every strike has been the same for years.
At least Warframe doesn't ask you for money to play the whole story
I gotta disagree with a fair bit of the stuff you've said, but you did make some good points. If you haven't played much since zarriman I get where your coming from.
What do you disagree with :) ?
Just started, think I’m MR8? Silver disciple. Have 10 warframes, 2 prime. As well as a handfull of maxed out weapons and mods. Someone recommended I start off with duviri. Played a lot about a decade ago.
Any pointers are appreciated.
Try getting subsume upgrade for helmint from necralisk standing.
Best way to make me NOT play a game. Force me to do things I could care less about doing.
I quit after 7 years cuz it wasn’t fun anymore but it’s totally repetitive and aimless endgame grind is worth it
A friend got me back into warframe but im not gonna lie to you everything seems so boring from the open world to anything else I’m experiencing and it’s been a long time since i downloaded this game back.
I remember watching iFlynn when I started years ago and he was contemplating stopping WF. I dropped this waste of time of game before he did and now the algorithm brought is together again. Been having more value for money and time doing coke.
I would like to play this game but unfortunately i already have a full time job..i don t need a second job😂😂😂
@@DeputyDiddle this is going to be my situation as well, Im thinking of just starting over to relearn the game but ill see

I get 10-20 ping max so my connection has always been good just when host migration happens it gets abit laggy for a few seconds
I left the game because i faced a lot of problems while inviting and joining friends and playing with them also my game crashed a lot of times and same repeated missions made it booring.
Dude, Warframe is now more funny than ever!
Exactly its funny how bad it has gotten lol
As someone who’s 195 days logged in, yes! Compared to world of Warcraft, warframe grind is nothing
I agree with that wow was just too much grind. I don't mind if have to grind for certain things but holy shit the wow too much grind and ppl should play wow if they think this game is grind lol
Is there a non gloom non shadow mirage build thats not squishy?
Duviri is a soulslike??? Say less I'm reinstalling when I get home.
I heard soulframe was coming out ? So was thinkin to begin now would be a mistake. Just downloaded jt and played a bit but dunno if i should stick with it because of that. Got on this kick because of the first decendant
@@SeaHoplite oh cool cuz I still been playing it day 6 now mastery rank 6 lol
My question is: Is there a reason to use all of that even stronger gear or you are just overpowered to the point the game is still boring like it used to be?
I tried warframe recently, and as a long time gamer I was very disappointed. This game is absolutely new player unfriendly. And I really don't know who thought it was a good idea to let other players force you into other missions, just because you got paired with them for one mission. But that immediately turned me off from this game. This is kinda why I don't like games like this, cause unless your here at the start, might as well never pick it up.
I appreciate this video because I just decided to download war frame, but your voice sounds like a mix between an American voice and a Scottish voice, you talk so mixed😂😂😂
I quit warframe like i quit warthunder. I get tired of grinding
Yea ill just stick to the division 2, warframe kinda sucks.
stopped playing in 2020. never playing it again
This dude quite literally hates video games 😆 all we did early Warframe was fight and grind the devs caught on to that gave us open world areas gave us extra activities to do and this dude's like nah I just want to fight😅 and yes of course it can be a grind but it's a free-to-play game with almost 10 times more content than AAA games.
Where 2024 Guide FLYNN!
First?! Welcome back!
it's a very, very confusing game
Ya this game looks cool sometimes when they run and jump around using the sword but at the same time this game looks incredibly boring and thats coming from a destiny player
@iFlynn you need to play on the next gen consoles or pc i seen the clip your on the switch thats why it runs crappy trust me i play on my ps5 mostly its like night and day only time i play on my switch is when im using the bathroom or at work on my security graveyard shift and its horrible delay Nintendo Switch just too weak and outdated
I'm going to give warframe a try. Xdefiant is boring. Destiny 2 I just cannot farm or play anymore. I've played for 10yrs off and on and I just can't do the same shit anymore.
✨❤️ Warframe Is Better Than Both!!!!!!! ❤️✨
DAMNNN… why not juzt speak fer everybody…
becauze u did …
NICE JOB … we agree…
I played warframe the moment they first came out. Then left due to boring content. Several years later, one of my friend persuade me to come back to play warframe. So i did, with a new account and... a new goal: To achieve Gauss Prime (Which i did) and Umbra Excalibur, then finally finish the story.
so no
no, get into First Descendant. Warframe has good combat, awful new player experience and no built in item search function. I am not willing to have to use external websites to find resources in such a grindy game with such a digusting and unusable user interface. All my friends bounced off the game, most of them are enjoying the First Descendant now.
warframe is a lootbox simulator. u like lootboxes but dont wana spend money? warframe is your game.
this guy really hates dancing
No, no its not
Rebecca is a greedy Head Dev compared to Steve…. If you disagree you must love all the $ exclusive bundles de keeps coming out with honeymoon shill.
The new war is what breaks people. It's truly awful.
Hell nah
They didn't bother increasing the slots or decreasing the crazy crafting so no it's not worth
You can trade for plat and buy slots
Mostly No.
One they ruined stealth in this game is the moment I uninstalled and won't be back. This game has lost its way, and its not worth playing any longer.
Stealth and Crowd Control is ruined cause everyone is now moving over to a braindead nuking meta.
@jacoryarnett7347 No. Its because they changed it in an update awhile ago. Completely reworked it and ruined it. The nuking meta has always been there.
Okey? Are you used to work on DE or something? Also what do you mean “lost it’s way”? Don’t tell you are really that old.
@marioangelini1860 Why would I have to work at DE to know any of that? Ive been playing that shit since it came out. What a weird little response from a weird little person.
@@Grizz0212 We are all weirdoes, besides you are really that old. Let me guess you quit when Mesa was introduce or something. Also what’s the Warframe way? If you are so kind to answer “sir”
Too much content gatekeep implemented by the devs and hours and hours of grind just to do 5 or 10% more damage. It is funny with friends from time to time but this game ain't breaking any code, otherwise it would be more popular.
Hater..
Bro didn't even play the game do you even know how much damage riven mods and galvanized mods give you?
@@monstertube6969 yeah I'm talking about after all of that, and once maxed there's nothing to do, the game need a random map system with alot of modifiers like PoE and better gearing mechanics.

wtf 😂
I’ll save you some time no it’s not worth it 😐 all they do is nerf things and waste everyone’s time and money 🙄
What? It's not a pvp game and they only nerfed like 5 Warframes or so snd even if they nerfed them you can still play with them with the right build what a clown
