Great video I learn a lot as always on your channel! I made these mistakes too as a beginner as well. But I guess emotional stability comes from learning from these experiences/mistakes 😀
1. think it is easy
2. listening to others
3. caught in short term fluctuation
4. emotionally attached to stock
5. focus on macro economy
Thanks
Omg thank you! Holy, long winded

THANK YOU. What is the deal with youtube finance channels and their inability to get to the point????
"number two, listening too much to others". Me: * Closes youtube tab immediately and just aimlessly buys stock because "this one feels right" *

Financial Education bro your course was great. Smartest money i ever spent in my life by far. Thanks for all you do
Financial Education I am new to financial matters and feel that I could overcome some of my fears if I had a handle of the vocabulary which is common to people in your field. If I knew what the terminology means things would be a lot smoother. Do you have a video or a link that would help me? I'm also considering taking your course listed in the comments section of this video. Thanks

Investing in the Stock Market, requires patience. Anyone who invests to make "quick money" usually get burned. Go long term! Moreover, I got burned listening to Squawk Box analysts. They were wrong, wrong, wrong many times. At times I did the opposite of what they recommended and made huge gains. Many times I think that these analysts are paid by some companies to push their stocks.
NZ Shares that is an extremely ignorant comment, as if anyone has to conform to your opinion.
strange tone to the comment for a suggestion, I mean sure you said "try" which is suggestive but to say that the original term he used sounds gay is rather demeaning one would think.
Personally I think it might just be a colloquial issue.
Either or, have a good one man!
I'm amused that you somehow consider "moreover" to be inferior to "furthermore" or "also".
How do you determine the validity of these terms and why do you associate the use of them with sexual orientation?
Your approval of a term is based on the people you know/have known?
I suggest you gain more experience meeting people across the globe to further your understanding and maturity.
Peace.
TB Very similar things happened to me in the crypto currency market. Every news outlet and even Warren Buffet himself said it was stupid, it was in a bubble, it was gonna fail, but I knew they were wrong. They were dead wrong, and I tripled my initial investment, so now I’m laughing at all of the doubters.
Has anyone noticed that some of these tips could be used for relationships 🤔😂
that's how much you should care about your stocks
"Don't fall in love with the stock..." Best relationship advice
I was thinking the same thing lol
GREAT BEE
TOTALLY!!! 😂😀🤣😁
Yes listening too much to others xD
My teachers complain about my interest with investing and being successful at this age they say "I'm too young." Should I be worrying about investing at 14 or should I continue with learning about investing?
+ashley fernandez you should follow your heart, and if you love learning about investing then do that. You decide where you life goes
ashley fernandez yea keep workong on your skills it can make you wealthy youbare never to yong to learn imo
"Those who can't...teach" Your never too young to learn how to invest.
Victoria murphy do you teach ? because i saw you asked her to contact you
Warren Buffet bought his first share when he was 11 years old! tell your teachers to piss off.
Hello, love the videos, but I was wondering if you have a video where you talk about how you look at what stocks to invest. How do you do your research when looking for stocks. I'm 17 and I want to start soon, and I'm looking for ways on how to do it. Thank you!
+Marco Guerrero (Clash Of Clans Gamming) I would watch any of my videos on the "is it a buy series" where I break down stocks. By watching those hopefully they will help you a lot
what are some good websites to start buying stocks?
Hey! I'm just starting to get into stocks! Was wondering if companies like ARCC or NLY would be wise or if OHI or HCN be a better play? Any thoughts would be appreciated
Still doing #2 everyday listening to Jeremy!! My #1 mistake is being too nervous about investing and not doing at all. Then low key get beat up by inflation!!!
Nice to see someone cheerleading fundamentals, rather than the "ohhhh, this chart looks like a cockerel taking a shower, the price is going up from here..." chart readers... might as well read tea leaves.
Having said that, I'm on the sell side of options, so I don't do either. But good for you being a fundamental analyst mate !!
DollarinPocket.com/?taskid=38563
Lol. Yeah I often look at the "ideas" posted on tradingview and just think.. what the hell, how are you interpreting this chart? It's something I flat out don't understand, so can't say it doesn't work... just seems very strange.
I signed up for Merrill Edge thinking about investing a few bxs for a quick gain turnaround. Have not invested any $ and wont after watching this video. I was gonna make most of the mistakes he mentions. Thanks so much for this video!!
Are you buy and selling to make money or your holding and waiting for it goes up
its just so much information!!!!! Im just investing small and I will researching, loosing learning and so on....all the does, dont will come as I keep learning. I feel if I listen to many of your videos I may run for hills!
What about investing in start up companies? For example, a new Electric Vehicle company that you think will do well. Or a new marijuna pharm company. I keep thining, what if I had invested in Tesla when it first started and the price was super low, and then selling ot 5 years later when the company grows huge.
What tips do u have about that? Does it work? Do u recommend it? Or do you have a video on this?
is mistake #1 that mustache?
Lmao!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
Ouch 😂
hey Jeremy THANK YOU FOR YOUR HARD WORK !! it helps a lot of things !! just quick comments for you. is there any chance that we can watch about when we have to sell stocks? i mean when is the right timing to see the stock that i bought , how i can recognize it to catch sell the right timing . if you make some video about it , it will be really help ! thanks again your hard work !
it is really helps ! thank you for your great answer !
Been playing in the stock game for about 10 months. Read a few book on trend and finacial analysis. Got a nice penny from MARA, after the research, but I have lost as well.
The question I have is with my current stocks that I have, is it better to average down when there is a flexuation in the market or sell once i see a profit and use the money to buy more shares when in goes down again?
Thanks to the info vids btw helps with some of the unanswered questions i had from the books!
Can you talk about the diffetences of trading platforms like Robinhood vs a Charles Schwab? Obviously fees differ, but what are the key differences? Are there any substantial advantages or disadvantages of one over the other?
To add to your point 1, not only is it difficult, but it's also stressful.
Thx Jeremy. Another video idea...Reaserch with stockscreener(Finviz is a good one).
And please do SHAK when you can...
here are 5 questions you mustache before investing
i didn't invest till now am just taking info, i think you are great one
Wow! You looked so different 5 years ago! I always appreciate this great advice from you. I've only been trading stocks for about 8 months now. I had no idea what i was doing at first. Now I listen to you every day, and I have learned so much & you have helped me build my confidence in my new stock market addiction!!!
i want to start investing in stocks but i have no idea how its done. do i have to do it myslf or i can just use a broker relax and wait for my gains??
Thanks for this video could you please advice me what kind of webpages or newsletters do you use to be up to date in stocks and options?
I see your favorites list. How about adding favorite computer for marketing? I am partial to an Apple laptop to start because I have to share with husband, and he needs at night. Wondering best way to conifigure, and plan to buy refurbished from Apple. Any advice?
What methods do you use to find the true value of a stock?
I've been interested in learning how to invest for a while, but I'm not sure where to start. What are important aspects to look at when choosing from all of the different stock sectors? And after choosing whatever sector you're interested in, what are, in your opinion, the most important things to look at when researching a company?
+Justin Bovee cant really say just 1 thing. There are tons! I suggest you watch the videos where I breakdown a stock every week if you have not watched those yet. Should help you a ton
I'll look into those, thanks!
How do I find the reports and news on companies? How do I find all the financials and how do I find out about the CEO/ CFO and their track record? :)
Your advice about not paying attention to the political climate...does it still apply in 2023? Central banks and corporations run this country, last I heard. Could you recommend a commodities stock or ETF?
can you please post a video of firms/online brokerages-- pro/cons? cost fees, ease of navigating for a beginner
I'm anoop. Just a beginner in market. Ur videos give more information. Thank you v much. I expect more kinds full information from u
So when I invest in a stock short term, when do I know when to cash out? as soon as it goes up 10%? Id make money but if i wanted to buy back the same stocks itd cost more for the same shares? Sooooo how I make money then? I DONT buy back the same stock? The 10% is profit and i invest that a well into another stock?
Man...I'm glad you let us know what stocks you do and don't invest in! But I tell ya, I'd give a fin...a toe, not a finger, but a toe! I'd give up a toe to see your portfolio and its history! That said, I think your videos have gotten me to the point where I feel comfortable starting in the market. Going to be putting in some extra OT so I have the extra "Disposable" income so I can get myself the money to get myself in the shallow end. Thanks for your help! (And thanks to all the other books, articles, and vloggers I'll be taking advice from \m/ )
Freddys mercury finacial help channel lol
Gersain Castelan ayyy lmao
For point 3, do you mean you do not have any stop loss and will just hold the stock? How to know if it is fluctuation or going into a long term trend opposite your direction?
one way to determine whether the stock is going into a long term downtrend is to see whether prices are printing below the 200 day moving average. if it is then it is on a long term downtrend.
Hi Jeremy...This may sound imature but you are my instant Hero. There r several folks on here doing what you do but you stand out amongst a few of my top admirers and I am being extremly honest. I am new to this stock market deal and I absolutely love the profession and am learning 24/7 (whenever my eyes are not shut in sleep). Please let me know if you offer in class educaiton for DAYTRADERS. I know this isn't what you like to do but I am sure you teach it well. I live in Toronto and would be happy to travel to LA if that is where you are based. Looking forward to your response.
Umer.
I have never bought stocks. I would like to start. Where and how do I start?
I just seen a ad for the stash app. I kno nothing about stocks, would you recommend using it?
+K Villen I have not checked it out so no opinion
I like this app, easy way to get started. No minimum, free trades, free stock for signing up through this link. Still much to learn after getting started, but this app is a great way to start. Join Robinhood and we'll both get a stock like Apple, Ford, or Sprint for free. Make sure you use my link. share.robinhood.com/jackh747
What are the pros and cons of annual investing vs monthly investing? I can only invest a large amount annually? Any advise?
Paul Llanos
i really liked about this video is not emotionally attached yourself to a stock, which we sometime do. good info.
This video addressed a bunch of my concerns so thank you! The investing world is a bit intimidating, which makes it not an easy thing to do. However it seems like there's still a lot of luck with it?
+Steph B. With all things in life you need a little bit of luck. You bring up an interesting point about "investing world a bit intimidating". This is a subject I want to address at some point specifically in regards to women and investing. For instance 88% of the viewers of my channel are males. This makes me sad because it should be 50/50. I would love to see a day when an equal amount of women and men are investing for themselves. I think it really comes down to making investing not intimidating.
That would be great! It is, and does feel intimidating, but your videos are really helping me and I'm sure, others, not feel that way. Here's to hoping those numbers turn around!
let me guess, the stock market is sexist and racist and its impossible for girls like you to make money? c'monnn you know you wanna say it!!
nick tardif and stop stereotyping
Thank for very useful tips. They were very helpful as i'm new investor. I bought jd, alibaba, ferrari and amazon stock few months ago when their price were high, now all of them are dropping in price. To be honest i was in panic and wanted even sell back all of them, even though i bought them for long term investment. Any more recommendations you can give for ones like me? Thanks
Thank you! So much for the info. I have a lot to learn about investing in stock. This is a start!
what online brokers do you recommend for beginners?

I'm 14 I think I am good at economy...I mean I always predict the price of items in my video game...I know you will say it is just a game but it is an economy game where you invest your money on items that might drop or rise items like clothes and stuff like that. This game is called growtopia and I was always predicting the prices of the hundreds of items by doing complex calculations to see if it is worth to invest or not and I actually got rich in that game I think I should take my skills to the Stocks Market I seem to understand it now very very well :/
TrashedGt growtopia a XD All the locks

Good luck bro, do what you love
From what I have learned so far, that’s all it is. Predicting price changes.
Thank you so much for your videos. I always enjoy watching them
What if it has a forward Annual Dividend Yield and a Trailing Annual Dividend Yield. Then how do you calculate it?
I know this video is pretty old, but I'm curious of what your opinions of etfs are for long term investments.
Joey Flowers good for safety, but don't expect the same growth as individual stock picks.
Hello. Thanks for your financial advice. Want to start and invest in stock market. Peyton from uganda.
Hey, how where do you get the data to examine stocks in greater details. Is there like a website for that or what's the source?
i use reuters and finviz. both provide good financial data on companies
Im a newbee. I need help in chosing the best stocks. I feel you have it together enough to make us some money. Let me know how to get personal help to choose stocks. Thanks for your time.
It wasn't easy for me choosing the best stock trade as a newbie too. but meeting Dmitry Vladislav strategy, things turned around and he helped me unlearn the BS knowledge I had in a while. revealing the secrets of stock market trading in his tutorials. He is the best and always willing to help newbies learning the trade market. apply for any course you wish to learn in trading and attend his live tutorials with perfect signals. Google his strategy or email(vladislav@optionstrade .cc)for more information, honestly it's great.

Is there a canadian company that charges a monthly fee rather than a fee to buy and sell stocks??????
thanks
What is your take on FB? its at 162.+ at the moment.
You say you have to invest all that time digging deep into financials, but what about those who just do technical analysis and follow charts only?
+hunter1801 they have an entire different type of investment philosophy than myself so they dont really pay attention to financials and company fundamentals like I do
I'm cautiously excited haha made 110% my first year but this last year has been a good year for the market so I don't wanna get too confident because I did loose a lot the first few months because I got too cocky, still ended up 110 somehow haha. I'm excited to get more in depth into this
Where is that beautiful place that appears at the beginning and at the ending of the video?
SUBSCRIBED. I I'm going to practice on Best Brokers!
Glad I found this channel definitely will be checking back here everyday!
+Ibrahim Abdel-karim happy to have you here!
Love the videos man! Would like to see you upgrade your camera, the one you're using produces a really washed out looking image. Just a tip, I've learned tons from you, trying returning the favor.
Such an educative and Nice content !…The difference succeeding and falling is consistency, but in being consistent you need a right information to be able to win, because having information on investing is one thing knowing what to do with is something else entirely that is why am here to let you know how successful I have made in trading with MR BEN FOSTER which have guide me through in the trading and make me win always.
I never imagined working from home investing on the online market would turn out so profitable and I began to realize as I continue marking returns from my investments with the courtesy of Foster and he has been my
mentor.
the outbreak of this virus has greatly affected my trading and i am in search of a reputable trader will Mr ben foster be able to help what scalping strategy does he make use of ?
Johnson Miller His strategy is super cool.. Even with small starting balance I was able to make tons of money so far with his strategy, For example my starting balance was $4000 and in 1 month I made $30000. And I was able to control risks and in results I keep on generating huge profits for myself and business.
What have been holding me back from entering the stock market is the guidance of a reliable . expert , How can I be part of this and search him ?
I’m on my way making my first ;$50000 reading stocks as a beginner , the expert who guild and assist me up till date is Mr Ben Foster , we met at at a trading conference in Tel Aviv. And he agreed trading on my behalf and tutor me more about tar market. He has really been helpful to me.
Central time Jeremy? Also please do a video on when to enter a trade aka day trading if you can thanks ☺💓
Hello, what type of research do I have to conduct on a company?
quite a bit. I suggest you check out my weekly series "is it a buy" where I break down a company. In those videos you will see many of the things I judge a company on. The one I did this past week was on Chipotle
Ok, thank you very much, keep up the great work!
Can you invest in international stock from the us?
What do you think of the Robinhood free stock trading app?
+valentino I have not had a chance to check it out in depth yet. I have heard positive things mostly
What is your opinion on online platforms Jeremy?
SABI online platforms are nice depending on which one you are using, here is some contact ABRAMAVADIM VIA GOOGLE MAIL for more information or can also contact me too on PETERSANDREWSON via google mail
Got hit with Pattern trading warning today, the system really isn't built for the little guy. 3rd week trading and trying to develop my niche, felt bummed out today
is hydro one a buy?
One time someone asked Jeremy if they should buy Netflix he said he wouldn't buy it.Later it went up 20%.So you should do lots of research on the company decide for yourself.Lots of traders lose money asking others which stocks to buy. Those that don't do research, should be buying low cost index mutual funds, because if you don't research your just gambling buy asking him if it's a buy or not.Or did you do your research and i owe you an apology?
i have done my research on the company, I would just like his personal opinion on the stock
lots don't do research then ask.People would have better results in the stock market if they do research first, like you do.
If you sell Hydro you make allots of money, if you buy Hydro you gets allots a high, Ha,ha,ha !!!
#2 is the best advice overall
I'm 6 and I want to invest when I'm older, maybe 6.5 years...
W A HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
Lmaooo wyd with ur moms ipad
How many 6 year olds think like this? Not many. Continue learning kid, don't let others bring you down.
Do it!
yessss!! go sneak daddies credit card and take out a 'cash advance', he wont mind ;- )
just found your channel and you explain things so well!!! thank you!
+limbo232 great to hear! Happy to have you on the channel
So you are a long term investor , how much are you expecting the ROI from each trade ? How much do you expect to make ROI in a year long from all your trading ?
+Mahmoud Al kadi I personally aim to get 20%+ per year. Each stock I buy generally I hold for 1-3 years
Sheesh what's cheesier the stache or the wall art?
Hi
How you book loss ? Please guide
what happens to your stock when a company is bought and no longer public?
What is the best site i can use to start investing?
Muzzex idk
hi. wow much I'll need to start?
Ben Graham's book The intelligent investor covers almost every video made by Jeremy . A must read for every serious investing beginner.
Making a comment here to remind myself of this book to add to my Amazon wish list. Hope you don't mind.
what website do you go to?
You got my attention. Thanks by the way for the info. I'll take note of that.
I decided to go all in into creating a dividend portfolio in January of 2020. IM UP 48% IN MY PORTFOLIO. I make biweekly contributions. I don't care if the market is up or down I keep investing. Why? Because I UNDERSTAND THE VALUE WITHIN the companies I'm putting my money into. PASSIVE INCOME: EARNING WHY YOU DO NOTHING.
How much can i make in a month if i trade 4 hours a day and 7 hours on the weekend and if i start with £100.
That course is exactly what I've been looking for! I'll get it next week after payday!
Hope you enjoy and learn lots!
hey, what website do u reccomend for trading stocks etc? For international users.
Mistake #1: listening to someone who has never traded before
Mistake #2: listening to someone who trade before but never made profits
Best way is to invest monthly rigid budget to different shares (be a bit mindful and logical in which shares you invest though) and with the work of time, development and inflation you will definitely make money. People tend to see investing as speculation yet that's the big mistake.
This video is so educational! Good job! Especially the emotion part its so easy to fall in
I just started a couple weeks under 2 months ago and am a prime example of mistakes. Bought 24 shares between aapl and fb and if I would have held I'd be up around 330 or so. But I go and decide to sell some of those to buy nflx a little after it's big rise, made some profit then the big fall. Followed the advice to hold and then when press, Disney, etc. happened got apprehensive and sold in the 160s, ouch. Did the same song and dance with Tesla and bought Home Depot on a hunch that it would rise on last earnings announcement. Lost 55 there. I was able to catch NFLX and buy back in time, but with all of the commission fees and everything ended up 400 dollars less than the 330 I would have had. Anyways, I was brand new and have learned a ton already. Would have done it soo differently now. I'm currently down by 82 dollars and holding my shares, up from 250 down. Luckily my story isn't as painful as it could be. Anyway, there's an example of what happened in 6 weeks of me trying to control things and if I would have just left things alone. Also, with my initial buys of aapl and fb I had invested much less money on fewer shares. Live and learn. Rookie mistakes.
the best way to invest is too invest in a scrabble set. then pick out the first four letters. that is the stock you need to go all in.
Everyone says it and it's true. You have to create some logical rules and stick to them. You are going to have strings of bad luck where you couldn't pick a winner if your life depended on it. Those are the times when you have to be the most disciplined. I could have reduced my losses by half at times by just sticking to my own rule. Things always turn around and it's much easier to get back on top if you aren't in such a big hole.
I love your energy.
