The amount of shit this song gets by the fans is absolutely ridiculous. I'll never understand it.
I’ve rewatched the musical today and almost cried when this song came up. Its just so touching and so beautifully sung! There’s just so much emotion in it even if you ignored the lyrics
"and then flash..." always breaks me. Such a great way to musically show Tom healing from his trauma.
@@ihaveaplan.ijustneedmoney.9777 so true! Another thing I loved was the stage setting like how the Xmas decorations tuned into wiggly SO COOL
If I had a nickel for everytime dylan sang a song mourning his dead wife I'd have two. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice
Dylan Saunders and his vocals are seriously beautiful
I love how the whole show is a secret metaphor for Black Friday tearing families apart as well as how corporate it is.
Linda is the parent who abandons her family for a product. She ends the story going fully down the path and dying for it
Tom is the parent who goes ends and earth to make his son happy. He’s almost at the path Linda takes but goes off before it’s too late
Lex uses Black Friday to benefit her family by trying to get cash from it. She realizes how manipulative it is in the process and saves herself, her sister and Tom
lex is the only one who actually lost someone thus facing the consequences of her actions directly. she had to be the one to get to save everyone. it's sad how lex and ethan never get to be together in any timeline. hope we get some kind of sequel to yellowjacket, hopefully with less super powers.
I swear the "and then flash" part gives me so many chills- it almost makes me cry
The callback to "What Tim Wants" could be Wiggly subtly trying to remind Tom why he's here, fighting to keep him under control with the empty promise of him filling the gap that Jane left.
Unfortunately for Wiggly, there's no more "Bang!" to the "Flash!" Lex's words left a gap in the spell, and that was just enough for Tom to break out.
He's no longer blaming himself. That recurring memory is no longer " Tim blames me" it's "I was blaming myself"
The most underrated starkid song. Or at least for Black Friday. I always see this at the bottom of tier lists and rankings, it’s extremely powerful
Does this mean I will finally get a Wiggle video with a decent sound? sounds too good to be true.
There is one thing I am slightly confused on in the lyrics.....
He went to the 99 cent store with his dad but got a 'cheaper' dagger instead of the pop gun he wanted...but it's the 99 cent store....it's all the same price....
But honestly so glad to have Dylan back.
A 99¢ store isn't always 99¢ its like dollar tree theres some stuff that's more then a dollar lol also it could have been under 99¢ and that's how it's cheaper he could also be referring to it's cheaper quality not the price
Yeah 99 cent store doesn't mean that anymore now its just "it's kinda cheap." I go there for fruit since it's usually cheaper there
Oh I’m glad I clicked! I was just hitting repeat on the live version but this gives a nice alt version!
Thx for uploading
2:40 i love this verse sm. the fact dylan delivered it like *sleehhmmm* warms my heart
Dylan Saunders is always able to make me cry with his singing
i love this version more than the recording of black Friday on UA-cam, I love how slower it is 🧍🏽♂️
edit: rather, how much more he's putting into taking his time singing
Finally!!!
Very nicely done!
YESSSS! FIRST AGAIN!
Two more to go! :)
this might be stan pines!
