I honestly feel like this song encapsulates a lot of the heart of the hatchetfield series in general. "If the universe is infinite, then its definite, there's an alternate reality where we're now a family" is literally true and we've seen this. Things get absolutely horrifying and dismal in this series but its really comforting knowing there's some other reality where things end well for everyone. Like Paul and Emma being together in just about every single timeline. Its heartwarming honestly
If I had a nickel everytime Dylan sang a song about getting taken back in time to his love I’d have two nickels, which isn’t much but damn does he sing it good
Idk if its on purpose but every newbie in black friday is paired with one of the veterans. Kim sang with dylan, angela sang with robert, james and kurt sang with jon, jaime, and jeff, kendall only sang the once and it was with the ensemble i think. im oretty sure thats all them but yeah none of them got their own song like dylan or joey. probably figured it was best to give them someone to lean on for their first show
I was wrong. Angela sings black Friday solo. I thought General John MacNamara of the United state military's reprise of monsters and men was part of black friday. Tho on the studio album version he pops up during Black Friday saying "you're not dead yet" so he is technically in the song
This is truly an amazing song that has me tear ujp, even without considering the context of the play. The vocals are beyond amazing. Furthermore, it had a great old-school feel, so that it could have been a hit single in the 80's.
Yo was the "Without the cost" line in reference to Tom's line in "What tim wants" where he said "Someone's gotta pay for it"? it better be cause otherwise im crying for no reason
I might like the pairing of Dylan Saunders and Kim Whalen even more than the combo of Joey Richter and Mariah Rose Faith. That says a LOT about how good these two are.

Another weird fact about every single timeline
Everyone from hatchet field hates Clydesdale
@@-Commit-arson-The universe is infinite, then its definite
There's no alternate reality
Where they hold no animosity
nah no special wording it just hops straight into the "FUCK YOU CLIVESDALE!" part from go go nighthawks.@@Quidington

Becky's "ill never let you go"s may be my favorite notes in all of Starkid
I think it's her "the universe in infinite" that's the best, but that one is amazing too
🎶MOONBEAM PIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE🎶
it's constantly on repeat in my head
it's up there with the guitar riff in literal monster
This song is too underrated. It has to be one of the prettiest songs from Starkids
IDK whose choice is was to pair Kim and Dylan together for this song, but they nailed it.

@@twilightprotige6166 however, Lex was supposed to be playing by Mariah so who knows 🤷♀️🤷♀️
@@shiftingcatsdocrimes496 lex was written for mariah iirc. but she got cast in mean girls and they hired angela
i love how the movie is singing with them 😭😭😭, it's my head canon that that final guitar riff was by jingle or jangle jamming out
