A client sent me a google link to fill a form before we continue the job. Do you think it is scam
Thank you for your information. Is signing a NDA which requires to fill in passport no safe after the contract? 😮
Very helpful as always Jennifer! Thank you so much for this! It's funny you mention this because at least once a week usually the weekend when I browse the jobs on Upwork theres always these scammers on the bottom of my matches and for either simple proofreading or typing jobs they are offering ridiculously high amounts of money for a simple job like $5000 or more, its crazy. I reported them several times but I guess Upwork can't even keep up with all the scammers sometimes. They just continually keep posting again and again. I mean who would apply to a job like that, it's so unrealistic. Thank you again Jennifer for all this important information :)
Hi Jennifer, don't know if you read this, you are growing on UA-cam (I'm still at 430 subs here). Thank you for this video, I had my first Upwork response on my first 15 job offers as energy engineer and il looked like a borderline scam case. Upwork Help was unclear about it and I left it to seek help on YT. Now at least I know what to answer and am relieved because I would not like to chase away my first client, offering an interesting assignment. I subscribed and will go through this playlist.
You are very resourceful, thank you Jennifer
Good Message. Thank You
Thank you for making this video. I'm going to start doing work on Fiverr/Upwork soon and I'm glad there's videos like this that can help people new to the websites.

Oh good! I am so glad you saw my video first!
Thank you for the video. As a new member to Upwork I've already run into numerous job scams :(
There are quite a few out there, so it is good to recognize the signs!
Good video thanks mam
Thanks Jenny.
Thank you. 👍 Weird question - does the UpWork video calling allow background blurring or replacement?
Thank you much
Thank You very useful information, Can I know that if we can get an advance after show them a trial, and if they say "contact via email... " is it scam ?
Thank you for this video Jennifer Marie .
Can you please make a video on sites where we can make money online from anywhere in the world ?I live in Mauritius and not all sites recruit from my location . I will try fiverr and upwork .
Mostly I come across the job posting with verified payment but zero spending. What one should do in this case?

Hello Jennifer
Is there any way to check how much time the bidding will go on
Or what's the deadline of bidding process
I bid for the job through my proposal but don't know what happened to that proposal until client decline my proposal
Please answer if you have time
Warm regards
Noman qureshi .
How about the fee that they are asking for you to link their bank with their bank?
I been seeing that job post of cash cow a lot … with different locations
Hi Jennifer hope you are well, can you please be my tutor on how to make money online, you videos are very helpful. am still new in this platform.
Thanks for the video my question is if customer ask for contact information after hiring and making the contract can I give him what he wants or I say to him no need to do that?
After the client sends you the official offer on Upwork, it is okay to communicate with them through email. Just make sure they have sent you a contract first. If it is fixed-price, they should deposit money in escrow. If it is hourly, you should see they are payment-verified and use the time tracker to track your hours.
@@JenniferMarieVO thanks for the answer
A client sent me a google link and asked me to fill the form before we proceed with the job. Could it be scam
Good day thank you for this video I did an i interview on Zoom is it acceptable?
Hello! I think that should be fine. However, if they decide to hire you, they MUST send an offer on Upwork. If they don't do this, tell them to. If they refuse, don't work with them.
Thank you very much
Sorry one more question how long do you wait for the offer after passing the interview. I’ve been waiting for an offer the whole day today
Steve, again. I was going to apply for a job and they want a copy of my driver's license. This didn't come up in your "AVOID SCAMS" video, above. I don't like that a stranger will have my home address and ID number. Your thoughts?
I know when you get your Upwork profile approved, that Upwork requires some form of ID, but I have NEVER been asked to give ID to a client. How bizarre. I would avoid them. I've never seen something like that before on Upwork.
@@JenniferMarieVO I'm glad I asked. Thanks again for replying.
Please guide line to create verified PayPal account
So, all we need to discuss with the client is all based in the upwork app and also the submission of a job been done is also sent through the app. It doesn't require someone using an email or a third party app to submit a job that had been done? I need an answer
It can all be done via Upwork itself.
can you get scamd if the payment metod is verified?
It is still possible, so make sure to follow the guidelines in this video to avoid any scammers!
Mam i have a question llz plzz reply me..... Mam 2-3 clients are from upwork, they send me work on telegram.... Is it safe or ont????? Plz rply
Ignore any clients that offer you work via Telegram instead of sending you a job offer on Upwork. Only trust clients that send you an official job offer on Upwork.
The client has verified payment but contacts me through telegram and doesn’t intend to pay me through upwork. What should i do? I’m lost
Avoid this client! Only work with clients who send you official offers on Upwork and report this client.
Is this a scam? In a couple of job postings (from 5 Star listings) asking an applicant, " To apply, simply write "5 Stars" in the cover letter section confirming that you read the entire posting, meet the requirements, and are willing to complete the task. Or, type "Upwork23" in your proposal if you're interested. Isn't it enough for them when I click on "Apply now" on the job posting? Telling me to add their code is unnecessary and controlling. What are your thoughts? Thanks.
No, it's not a scam. I have seen many clients do this because they get an overwhelming amount of proposals from people who don't read the entire job posting. This is to sift out the people who just batch-apply to jobs with the same copy-paste cover letter.
@@JenniferMarieVO That's reassuring. Thanks for replying.
I was excited to get my first client then I saw this video 🥲
Don't be discouraged! There are many great clients on Upwork.
