- How do you accept an Upwork job offer and start a new job contract with a client? In this tutorial, I'll teach you everything you need to know about accepting job offers on Upwork, how to start and end job contracts, and how to give and leave feedback.
As of the time of creation of this video, I am a top-rated freelancer on Upwork and have been selling my services as a freelancer since 2017 on this platform.
It's important to end a contract with your first client so that they will be able to provide you with five star feedback to start building your reputation as an excellent and highly-rated freelancer.

Really Great video, I have a question, I have completed an hourly job and submitted the work but didn't get paid yet because I entered the hours manually and the client is offline or not responding after receiving the work So my work is not approved yet, Now what should I do to get my payment? Should I End the contract?

Hi! If you are a freelancer, you don't need to create an Escrow account. It will all be done through Upwork including payment. Congrats on your contract!!

I want led to know that when I started on upwork after getting verification badge my account went on hold because I made upwork account mistakenly before so I talked to upwork customer support and uphold my profile but I got disqualified for Rising Talent badge and all that stuff now I have good reviews, 5 stars and all other requirements for Top Rated so can I get Top Rated badge after 90 days or there is another procedure

Hi I just did a job for somebody and I don't see the same thing when I go to active contracts it just says see timesheet and then when I opened it up and won't let me fill out anything I don't see submit work for payment I already submitted it
That means you are doing an hourly job contract and not fixed rate. I have two different videos you should watch: one on fixed-rate vs hourly and the other on the "Upwork desktop app" which you should have used when logging your hours.
For hourly rate jobs, you will get paid for the hours you logged either manually or when you put "start tracking" on the app.

Are you a freelancer? If so, NO! Do not pay any client anything. Absolutely not. This is a complete scam. They cannot ask money from you. Report them to Upwork.

After you accept the job offer, you can begin working on the job. If it was a fixed-rate job, you can get started right away. If it's an hourly rate job, you'll have to start tracking your hours with the time tracker desktop app (I have a tutorial on that). What does it mean if you left feedback for a client but then see the job in your work history, but there is a note “no feedback given”?
This means that the client didn't leave any feedback for you, or that they haven't yet. You can ask them to write feedback for you, or just leave it. :)

How does Upwork actually pay you? There is no bank account section on the profile... Is it through Paypal?

Did you do a fixed-rate job or hourly? If it was fixed-rate, the client has to release the funds before you end the contract. If it was hourly, it will take some time to show up in your account.

Some clients just forget to close the contract or they keep it open in case they want to hire you again.
Please can you discuss milestone payments how it works for freelancers
I am a newbie on this field. Last time, I submitted proposals to some clients who were payment verified, but when they messaged me, they were all redirecting me outside of the upwork platform (TELEGRAM) to a particular person, and they were all in the same company logo. And then, they were asking me to give them my name, address, country, email add. Of course i ddnt do it, but instead i asked them for a copy of the contract. But i ddnt receive a response from them at all. Do you think I did the right thing? I was just being aware from scammers. Do you think these kind of clients must be avoided? Thak you in advance.
You absolutely did the right thing! I did a video on how to avoid scammers on Upwork. Asking freelancers to talk outside of the platform is against Upwork's policy if you have not already accepted a job offer. Avoid clients like this in future!
