That is awesome! I still love mine. A good tip is to clean it monthly. A viewer told me that you should not wait until the clean button lights up. It will make it last longer and coffee will taste better. I use vinegar and water to run through my machine.
This is funny. I went from a Ninja coffee bar to Nespresso and I would never ever go back. The Nespresso makes fantastic espresso and coffee, my Ninja is now boxed up collecting dust in my basement.
LOL, it is not that I did not like the cup of coffee the Nespresso produced. It is amazing. And the Nespresso stores are awesome. The pods are very expensive and I have kids in college!
Everything she says is true but one thing that should be mentioned is under normal use these things typically only last a year if you're lucky. But there is something you can do to prolong the life of it. The main problem that they have is they get scale buildup in them and things messing up. If you wait until the light comes on that says it's time to clean it then it's all ready too late. So what you have to do is fill the tank with 50/50 white vinegar and water and push the clean button. It takes an hour to run the full cycle you have to set the knob for full pot. After that finishes then you have to run another pot of water on the clean cycle. If you do this religiously then you should get some life out of it. But if you don't and you only clean it when the light comes on and tells you it's time to clean then it probably will not make it more than a year. Another thing that will help is if you turn the power to the machine off when you're not using it.
Thanks for the info. I will clean mine today! I can tell when it needs to be cleaned bc the coffee starts tasting different. Most people probably don't notice the subtle difference but I do. I have yet to see the light come on.

I also just received a Ninja coffee maker as a Christmas present, but the one I received can also dispense hot water and has the K-Cup adapter. I agree, it is an excellent coffee maker!

That's cool. I have a B&D single cup coffee maker that's a bit like that. I just switched to Keurig because there is less cleaning involved. Most of the time the pod can be pulled, leaving the machine clean.
I had this one and loved it!! The only reason I didn't like it was once there becomes a clog in the water line in the machine, it's toast from there🥺 it was a sad day. Now I have one that uses both pod or regular coffee(best of both worlds)

It would be nice. For me I am not up at a constant time. It usually varies within 20 mins so I don;t like the timer. Hope you find one that works for you!

This has been so informative! Quick question... I love making tea, hot apple cider & cocoa and the best part about our current coffee machine is a built in hot water dispenser. Butbthe whole thing is on it's last leg.. we were looking at this model for a replacement but the question arose: will I still be able to do just hot water for a cup of tea & such or will it all taste like coffee because of the built in filter. Now I'd assume that I could just put it on a classic cup and make sure the filter was clean or even removed beforehand and it would work fine but I'm not sure... do you know by chance?

I have been on the fence between the Ninja and the Nespresso Vertuo. Most people have been telling me to get a Nespresso for a nice cup of coffee that is easy to make in the morning. I currently have a Keurig.

Yes it is. Another youtubber gave me the tip to clean it every other month. This helps to keep it working great. It has a clean function and tells you when it needs to be cleaned but I was told to clean it more often.

Omg. Yes I regret not mentioning that u can turn it on and off! I mostly use the 1 cup version but love that I don’t have to have on the heating element when making a full pot. Thanks for watching❤️
@@KathyCooks321 The heating element being referred to is actually the heating element within the unit that heats the water that drips over the coffee grounds, not the element that keeps the pot warm. Keeping the water heated to a consistent optimal temp while dripping over the grounds is the key to a great cup of coffee.
@@barbarabedwell1273 Technivorm is a superior coffee maker, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles like the Ninja and others but imo that's when other units start slacking off on the most important aspect of coffee making...that being the water temp.

Another youtuber told me to clean the machine monthly. It will last longer and makes a big difference in flavor. I use vinegar and water.

I love Nespresso/starbucks BUT that was like rent! I bought instead a Breville espresso maker; it really pays off on the long run.
