I hope you enjoy today's video!🌹 If you have any questions please let me know. Here's a fun fact about espresso: Espresso means "pressed out" in Italian. This refers to the way espresso is made - forcing boiling water through pressed coffee grounds. And although espresso has more caffeine per volume than coffee, it would take three shots to equal the amount in a regular cup of joe. ☕
So the nespresso isn't computer controlled like Tassimo where the barcode tells the machine the correct pressure, temperature and amount. Instead it just uses it to know if it's an authentic nespresso drink. Am I correct?
This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.
When she said that Nespresso made the pods with a barcode for quality this makes me feel like she is getting paid to promote Nespresso and not Keurig so for me this comparison is not a fair one. Keurig has been around longer, has waay more variety, you can make teas, hot chocolate and coffee and you can pickup pods at any local store like Walmart, Targef etc..Keurig is the winner for me!
I found this video to be very helpful and informative. I’ve been debating for a long while now and I guess I will be buying the nespresso unit during Black Friday. Thanks again for this great video.
I have both! I feel it’s useful because they serve different functions. Tea and hot cocoa for keurig and coffee and expresso from then espresso vertuo 🤷🏻♀️
The DRM code on Nespresso is not about "quality", it is about money money money. Keurig tried it many years ago and hit such pushback that they eventually stopped because there is ALWAYS a work around for greed. San Francisco Coffee Co handed out a top (for free) that could be place over any K-cup to trick the "quality control /eyeroll" code.
I'm sure they use the excuse of "quality control" to manhandle their customers into believing in the integrity of the company. Same with the Greenwashing in which they want the customer to send back their pods to recycle. What is the shipping bag made of? How is it being transported? Through plane, on ground? I feel that creating this system makes it more complicated than having a reusable pod. If a customer is loyal to the brand, they would still buy the coffee ground/beans to use in their reusable pods. It would make things more affordable and lesson the carbon footprint while still making a pretty good profit and keeping loyal customers. They could even gain new customers this way as well. But as stated, it is more about the lumps of money the company wants.
Exactly, these greedy companies want you to keep buying their proprietary pods. Like the razor business. Companies don’t make money selling razors, they make money selling the blades…
I love them all. I have a Vertuo Plus for when I want a richer bolder coffee and a Farberware touch screen kcup compatible coffee maker bought at Walmart for $20 for when I want a Kcup or just using my own coffee grounds.
I like the Keurig for being able to use my own coffees while saving money and using a reusable pod. A reusable pod helps the carbon footprint while, although sending things to recycle knowing not everyone recycles the same materials, still leaves us with gas emissions and whatever they do with the shipping bag they send you. A reusable cup would have less of a footprint, especially if you can find one that is recyclable for when it isn't useful anymore. Using biodegradable filters also helps. I feel like Nespresso is replacing one problem with another. Replacing your pile of trash for a pile of recycling doesn't hold up to having something reusable.
It’s 2024 and I have used the Nespresso system (both the original and Vertuo for a few years ) I had a Keurig … but, heard so many good things about the Nespresso, I had to try it .. I did and said goodbye to my Keurig 😢 .. yes, the Nespresso capsules are more expensive but (right now) for the quality of coffee .. it’s better!
I will never give a dime to nespresso! Can’t believe they did the barcode bullshit. Just trying to force you to buy over priced pods and it’s terrible for the environment! I will use my reusable k cup all day on my k cafe!!
Do you have the single needle machine? I just got the keurig k supreme smart which has 5 needles and 5 different strength settings that really make the coffee richer. I have an original line and vertuo line machines from nespresso and i love all 3 machines! I switch it up depending on my preference.
Two different worlds, I have both machines and I use my Keurig for everyday with reusable pod with my favorite coffee and I use my nespresso every weekend with original pods and also I have my method to re-use the pods with my favorite coffee also.
Keurig for me. European coffee and "slow down and enjoy coffee culture" is just a marketing gimmick IMO. I love both fast and slow pace culture and I love Keurig and I use reusable pods 90% of the time. The flavor is very good and I do travel a lot.
I have a nespresso and I bought the keurig k cafe to see if I could just have one machine on my counter since my boyfriend only drinks coffee and i only drink regular coffee in the morning. But I am thinking of returning of my k cafe. The lattes on the nespresso machine don’t compare to the k cafe. I think I will just get a slim keurig for next to my nespresso for when I want normal coffee!
Nespresso vs Keurig.....I use the Nespresso and fill my own pods with my favorite blonde roast. My daughter uses the Keurig because she does not like foam and is willing to drink charcoal. Enough said :-)
Returned my Nespresso and stuck with my Keurig. Nespresso is too limiting. I like the convenience of being able to run to a Target and grab K cups. Keurig has more variety as well. Nespresso does look sleeker and takes up less space.
I used to own 3 keurigs and each and every single one of them started leaking couple of months in, and when I descaled the keurig following the instructions to the T the motor died. At that point I was so done with them. Not to mention the keurigs coffee is regular drip coffee glorified in my opinion. My nespresso has been a life changer. I have the exact same one as you made by Breville. The design is stunning and I love all of the coffees, but that crema really does it for me. Makes me feel like I am enjoying a luxurious cup of coffee from the comfort of my own home at a fraction of the cost of having Starbucks daily. Nespresso all the way :) thanks. Great video
I have the exact Keurig you do and I’m thinking about getting a Nespresso Mini, the original line. Not sure if I would get rid of the Keurig though. But I think you did. Let’s see. 😁
Hi Rose, which coffee comes out hotter Nespresso or Keurig? I just bought a Nespresso Vertuo Next and the coffee comes out lukewarm. I am thinking about returning it. Why nobody talks about this?
Hello, Gisela, I don’t find the temperature of the coffee lukewarm at all. Nespresso uses the barcode scanning system on each pod to brew the coffee with the perfect water temperature so it doesn’t burn the coffee. Maybe because I use powder creamer my coffee stays warm but if you’re using cold creamer the one goes in the fridge I can imagine that dropping your coffee temperature very quick or if you’re putting cold water in your coffee machine reservoir that could effect the coffee temperature as well. You could make the water hotter by adding warm/hot water to the supply tank, but I have never tried this and I’m not sure if that will effect the coffee flavor.
@@RoseBaby I would say it depends on the model. I don’t really care for Nespresso myself but several years ago I bought one that produced lukewarm coffee. I had to add quite s bit of hot milk to make it to my liking. This was a known problem with the model. After while I bought a newer model with improved temperature results. Still, the flavor was not what I hoped and gave up on it.
I don’t understand what all the fuss is with the Nespresso. Most pods taste the same and the foam is over the top. If you want stronger coffee, buy a good preferably Italian made espresso machine. It’s infinitely better. For a milder more American type of coffee buy a good Keurig (it’s important to buy one of the better models). The Keurig also offers a much wider variety of drinks……..not just coffee.
Me to. I still like to use the keurig for tea, the cafe escapes hot chocolate, Mott’s apple cider and and a Cafe escapes chia latte. I also do coffee in it first thing in the morning. Then my second cup is Nesspresso when I can really enjoy it.
You actually believe that crap that Nespresso made their pods proprietary to protect quality? When we all know it’s to keep other companies from making less expensive pods, you must work for Nespresso.

I never really thought about owning a Nespresso till now. Thanks a lot I just ordered my new Keurig supreme lol.

When it comes to ease-of-use, Keurig wins hands down.
No.
Keurig taste like water. Nespresso for sure is best. I use mine every day
I thought it was just me that thought this. Had my keurig for almost two years and thinking of switching to nespresso. This helped me lol

Nespresso has reusable pods
Thank you, this was super helpful since I'm not a coffee drinker but I'm trying to figure out which would be better for a gift :)

They literally give you bags to recycle the pods in lol they are very earth conscious
I mean. The same thing happened with my Keruig . It wouldn’t take other companies k cups.
I really like the Nespresso as well, I tried using only 8oz on the Keurig but still wasn’t as good as the Nespresso.
I know, I even tried to brew only 6oz and it was still not good.

8:54 this part I don’t understand… why not just select the button that says 8oz on the keurig…. Then guest or whatever can select the higher functions
haha I was confused at this part as well. She even showed the buttons so idk what happened there.
I think she's getting paid by the folks at Nespresso

Nespresso capsules $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Very expensive , i like to buy bag coffee so i can fill coffee for size and strength
That's what's keeping me from getting a Nespresso, the capsules are pricey.
They have reusable pods tho... 🤣

Can you put your own coffee growns in the nespresso.
They sell reusable aluminum foil seals lid so you can refill and reuse your capsules here is a link you can check out the reviews amzn.to/3NSFnTi
So the comparison is what machine can combine hot water and goffee grounds better? Mr. Coffee can do it for much less.
You said keurig was the best coffee ever when you first reviewed it...

When you did the warranty/support, did you let them or did they know that you were a reviewer?
If anyone buys a Nespresso machine It's because they're names, you know what, That's it totally. If they tell you anything else, they're lying
Does nespresso have an adapter for ground coffee? Jeanne
Man I ain’t trying to get no nespresso that looks like something out of star wars
I personally just can’t drink espresso if it doesn’t have any foam on it.

Nespresso is trash. Too expensive for not great quality coffee. Maybe it makes good cappuccino but as for coffe I’m all Kurieg.
Goodbye Keurig! 😂
I like the broduct but the brice is not berfect
