    Great video. I liked it being an hour long video, as I enjoy all your content. Im working in my garage organizing all my new impala parts while I watch!
    On the UA-cam question you got & answered… you should look into a music licensing membership. Then when you find a song you like, you click download and click with license. UA-cam lets me know while uploading there is a copyright notice I simply input my license and it’s disputed with in 24 hrs! I’m still at 175ish subs and UA-cam has ads in my videos but I’m not getting paid for any of those ads… so talk about a kick in the pants! 😂
    I’m also just uploading to document my build process! ✌️

So I made sure to subscribe today so I wouldn't miss any more videos or giveaways. I love doing those model cars and it would have been dope to be entered into the giveaway. @@gemcitywelding7234 no problem brotha! I'm also restoring a 64 impala. Can't wait until you get to the point I'm at, so hopefully I can pick up some tips and tricks. This is my first restoration and I'm learning as I go. I'm currently taking the car to bare metal to truly see the condition of the car. Luckily the car has VERY MINIMAL RUST, most of it is surface rust. But there are a few dings and dents. You seem like your going faster than I am.. Lol.. So I'm sure you'll catch up to me in no time. So I'm sure I'll be bombarding you with questions when that time comes 🤣.

    Something to consider on your rockers, with hydraulics, I like to cut the face of the rocker off and put a 2x3 1/8th thick tube in place off the rocker. Then put 1/4 thick 5” wide flat plate on the tube. Then it gives you a better place to weld the braces to, and between the flat plate and the tube, it makes the body that much stiffer for when hitting the switches.

      Wow! That’s rad man! I never considered reinforcement of the rocker area. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing 👊🏻👊🏻

      He is another amazing metal fabricator. He has a video on doing the 2x3 square tubing rockers. It’s a definitely must do for convertibles with juice, but I do them in both hardtops and convertibles when I do floor pans. You can hear how souls they sound just closing the doors. It’s kind of a lost old school lowrider trick not to many remember or know about.

    Earlier in the video you mentioned cutting a patch in the floor, welding in the caged nut , and then replacing the patch. Why couldn't you weld in the caged nut then weld in the floor? And finally spot weld crossbrace to floor?

      @gemcitywelding7234  Рік тому +1

      That’s kinda the idea. I was just trying to explain to someone who might be adding vert mounts to a non convertible frame. Hope that makes sense.

    So you’re making your SS to a convertible?

    • @gemcitywelding7234
      @gemcitywelding7234  Рік тому +1

      No, just adding the additional convertible mounts. This will provide extra strength for the body with the hydraulics.
