Wow. Was not expecting this review. Thoroughly enjoyed this album. Grip has such a good future. Hope everyone gets the opportunity to listen to the album.
This album deserves honourable mention as one of the best concept albums. Its like a sequel to GKMC. This intro is amazing, from the beat switches, samples and lyrics. I picked up so many meanings from just this song alone. @15:04 The song starts of with a gospel sample a song of praise. Grip uses the first part to give praise to his knight and shining armour his snub nose. He address his appreciation even though there were serious casalutes, his life has been saved by it. The last line of the first verse makes things verry interesting ---------------------------- 'Cause shit, I figure, you never know if that bitch got a nigga or an ex that gotta ask you for a key when he stay with her' --------------------------- There is a pause and the beat switches. It seems like Grip discovered that his girl has been unfaithful and has taken the opportunity to head out and kill the guy he is with. The second verse is told from the gun's perspective. The gun temps Grip to head out and fix his problem using the plug. Even though he might get caught and jailed the gun convinces him that having a gun is power in the streets. One thing i love is how grip bring out the idea of how guns can never solve problems without serious casalutes. I love how the beat switches into such a dark sample. The first sample was a gospel song to show Grip's innocence and humility and the second is a dark vibrant synth the echoes through out the rest of the song to show Grip's greed and guilt. I love how it also shows the power of a gun, the first part its a tool for protection and the second part its a tool for assault. The song ends with a gunshot suggesting someone has been killed. We dont know who? but from the narrative of this song you think Grip has fixed his problem. He invites his friends to his greatest treasure what happens next gets us to follow the whole story on the next song.
STREEWT KNOWLEEEEEEDGE!!! Man Sum’n to say put me onto Grip and I’m so glad y’all are reviewing his thing. He just got off tour with JID too so it’s interesting that y’all made that comparison
I always love when you guys review people and projects that I've never heard of. You guys have put me onto so many incredible artists and I'll be forever thankful
I don't know who will see this but I really think he had the album of the year fr fr that Is a masterpiece he's basically telling the story of a gun but not glorifying it. The intrigue of knowing the power of a gun the power it holds and what it does negatively but also positive as far as protecting yourself its like nas made a whole album about the song I gave you power check that song out if you never heard it
Gotta thank Dead End Hip Hop for shining some light on this nigga because I never heard of him until today. Thank y'all for putting me up on a great artist with a great album. Helluva Christmas present
Recently saw him open for JID in antwerp, he really set the tone for the rest of the night... Belgians are a notoriously hard crowd and he had em bumpin even though nobody knew who the fuck he was! Checked out his music and love this album, def guy to watch in the future
Bernie Mac coming up on a SoundCloud Playlist put me on to Grip, that lead me to Porch. And the loose tracks he released before Snub Nose confirmed this dude is on the rise. Definitely keeping on eye on Icecoldbishop too. My boi gave me word on em last year and I'm ready to hear both these guys shine further in 2020.(throw Kembe X in there too). Icecoldbishop newest track Creep with Mick is phenomenal!!
After listening to IDFT?! I had to go back and listen to this and Porch. Every track on every album is good. This guy doesn’t miss. So happy that Eminem signed him. This dude deserves more recognition.
On Porch he only had a couple thousand monthly listeners, after porch he has over 200,000. He missed everyone's radar on porch. But I'm glad he got the recognition now.
Never heard of this album before this review, but after the notification I had to check it out before watching this and man what an amazing project. It blew me away. Reminds me of when I first heard IDK years ago
Def check out Armani white's other work! He dropped his debut album not too long ago so now is the perfect time. Touche is also a great teaser track if you just want a taste of his style or Public School
Thank you guys so much for reviewing the album. This shit means so much to me coming from yaw! I’m there to chop it up with yaw whenever✊🏾

It's rare these days when DEAD END puts me on to some dope shit I haven't heard about. This review did that. So THANK YOU, guys. Have a great holiday!
This review made me check out this album and it is incredible. Then I checked out porch and it was phenomenal as well. I'm definitely a fan now

Yes!! I love this album more people need to hear it!!
He is..I am is a track I regularly visit. Never thought a gun POV story would capture me like I Gave You Power.
Yo, I found out about Grip because I follow Feefo and Ken on Apple music and I saw that yall listened to it!

Can yall please fix or reupload this video? It keeps stopping at the first second
Was waiting awhile for this🔥🔥🔥
That first track samples a Gospel track called He Is. It's so good.
One of my favorite albums of the year that no one has been talking about
Never heard of dude either. Good Project! Will continue to check it out
We need that porch review.
Porch is as good as Snubnose
Never heard of dude either. Definitely going to check this joint out.

Since you mentioned Two Nine, If you don’t know, you guys should check out Jace. His “Free Jace” project is really dope.
my cousin just put me on to grip and i still haven't fully listened to the project
GRIP reminds me of Cyhi. In a good way. Hes got that fast flow and kinda raspy voice. And the storytelling was thorough as hell
He sounds nothing like Cyhi 😂😂
terrible comparison tbh
Bruh Two-9 is so dope!!! I hope they have a new project soon!!!
Respect!
Spending Christmas Eve with DEHH family is better than spending it with my real family
Ppl been sleeping on this Project. Been trying to put ppl on in the city to GRIP.
Def check out Armani white's other work! He dropped his debut album not too long ago so now is the perfect time. Touche is also a great teaser track if you just want a taste of his style or Public School
