Master mechanic at work, massive patience, and excellent use of tools.
Good job Dave! Satisfying seeing the bores come up so well
Really helpful, I’ve got the same thing to tackle on my Doblo. Thanks for taking the time to explain every step.
Great work Dave. You have the patience of a Saint.
Very nice tool for injectors.
Great video, going to give this a try, thanks for the detail.
some nice tricks getting the injectors out
Nice video Dave. Some good watchin
Like an anthracite mine 😳 Nice work Dave 🍻
The best liquid for this kind of job is carbon remover liquid.. Just make sure you warm it a bit and pour it.. Wiggle the injector with injector pipe hose still attached.. Just loose the common rail injector nuts.. I've done it many times.
Great vid Dave I do recall you have to take the sump off to replace the chain cheers
Nice one Dave , dont we love carbon , it's when the punter says it's just started making a noise , and you look under the top cover and it looks like a volcano that's cooled , have seen Leon using that tool for injector removal, nice piece of kit it is , timing chains on these have always been junk , people just dont get their vehicles regularly serviced or use correct grade oils , we know , they dont care until they have to empty their pockets to fix their total lack of pride and joy 👍👍👍😂😂🤣🤣, looking forward to part 2 👍👍💪💪
The 1.3 cam chain is tiny. It’s vulnerable beyond 100,000 miles. They fail with broken side plates long before the chain has worn out. It should have been a double row but no doubt the bean counters stepped in.
That all said, the rockets are sacrificial so you can replace the chain, rockers and lifters and be on your way again.
Removing & cleaning those injectors & heads can be tedious alright. But fair play to you Dave not one little bit missed. I’m a week late watching but looking forward to part 2 next 😉
Aye cleaned up well
@@davesterl nice and patient 🙏
Hi great video dave we're did you get the electronic sthescope and the injecter puller tool has a look in your amazon shop but could not see it
Hi, I have one of these tractors, it's done 10 years of service with a smile and now in need of, repairs and overhauling it places. I looked at the injector tool your using, but not sure which to buy. Do you have a link.
Regards Rich
Is that black carbon you were cleaning caused by injectors leaking diesel and become solid or was it blow back carbon past the injectors not sealing with the copper washer.
Awesome video brother , what slide puller are you using ?
Hey Jay, Whaaatttaboutye!! This kit is branded Alba Diagnostics although it is more commonly marketed by Hubitools which is a European company. The kit is good for getting semi-stuck injectors to move without dismantling the injector. Proper stuck injectors, it probably won't release. If you google Hubitools injector puller you may get a result. Cheers Dave
Hello Dave, could you tell us where you bought the spare parts? Thank you.
How did you get the puller on number 4? I have the same puller and it doesn't look there is enough clearance to get it on any of the injectors of a 2014 Panda? Thanks.
where can i get the top seal ring, my local parts store dont have them in stock?
Great video Dave - Thanks for taking the time to put it together - do you have a link to the injector puller? Had a quick look in your Amazon shop but couldn’t see that exact one ?
The tool i used is not on Amazon. It's a bit specialised and fairly expensive. I f you google Hubitools Injector Puller you may get some results. However, this one i have isn't from Hubitools
@@davesterl thanks Dave
Great video Dave well done, how long was she driving it for to get it to like that 👏👍
no idea, by the looks of it quite a while
part what kind of tool to pull the injectors. 👍🍻
hello i can not find the same tool
can you please send me the link
Very similar injectors and seals to 1.6 HDI
Dave, where are you located? I’m having issues with an A6 and it’s driving me mad and seem to be just throwing parts at it now and getting nowhere, just come across your channel and you seem very switched on and might be able to help me out, I’m in newtownabbey
Check out the About section on the channel page
I think Poppy's car needs a gearbox service!
Have you made the part 2 yet?
yes, i have made the part2 and will be posted next week
@@davesterl brilliant, I shall keep my eyes peeled for that. Thank you for your reply.
@@davesterl can't wait 👍
Sprinter injectors..... As you said, loads of cellulose thinners 🥴
Lol, don't think sprinter injectors would fit that well
Don't be such a defeatist.... they just need a little coaxing. Injectors from a 6L Cummins assures there isn't any nasty gaps for carbon build up if the copper sealing washer fails 🤣
i have a real hatred for this engine. I have owned two vehicles with this engine a wee Corsa and a wee combo van, my Corsa died due to water ingress of the ecu and my combo van got a timing chain and then after 1000miles the high pressure pump packed in.
What happened to the HPFP? The Bosch CP1 is usually very reliable
@@petermolnar8667 the engine was on 180k miles so never really investigated more than a rail pressure test, fuel was getting to the HPFP
