‘American Idol’ alum Jordin Sparks to perform national anthem ahead of Indianapolis 500

Jordin Sparks, an American Idol alum, will perform the national anthem before the 108th Indianapolis 500 on Memorial Day weekend. Sparks has won multiple awards, including an American Music Award and People's Choice Award. She also performed the anthem before "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing" in 2015. Indianapolis Motor Speedway president J. Douglas Boles said Sparks' emotional and stirring rendition of the national anthem would honor the country and set the stage for the race's final moments.
