  • This is my other video on the original Journey Into Imagination for today, which is a 12+ minute loop of the absolutely amazing rendition of One Little Spark that was played in the finale (1983-1998). It involved Figment singing out loud the words of the song, along with an adult chorus that really sounded fantastic. At this point, Figment has learned many of the different ways imagination has benefited humanity, and realizes that with imagination, you really can do just about anything. After your picture was taken, you entered this large, circular room, with an audio animatronics Figment in the center, and all around was the biggest use of screens in the original ride, as in several looping clips of a puppet Figment doing all kinds of things, that despite not being based in reality, have become very popular subjects in literature, cinema, and many other forms of entertainment. These various themes were unified through Figment & the chorus singing One Little Spark in this Grand Finale, a classic song written by the personal favorite composers of Walt himself (Before his 1966 passing), brothers Richard & Robert Sherman. They were also responsible for many other classic songs, from the titular song of my favorite ride ever built, "it's a small world", and many other theme park songs (Tiki Tiki Room, Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow, Miracles From Molecules, & much more), to many film scores in and outside of Disney, including the masterpiece of Mary Poppins (1964). It was a perfect conclusion to a perfect ride, and I find it incredibly sad that this masterpiece wasn't preserved like many of their others. Instead, they destroyed it for one of the worst rides ever built (1999-2001), before doing a quick fix in 2002 that basically slapped Figment all over the second version (No acknowledgement of Dreamfinder), and is still operating with barely any changes in the whole time since then. Much like Horizons, and other lost pavilions for that matter, I seriously hope that Disney reevaluates their priorities and actually listens to their fans, by bringing back this ride in some way, shape, or form. It could be so amazing, as well as beneficial for today's guests to have positive role models like Dreamfinder & Figment that can inspire a lot of creativity in all kinds of areas. However, I must also announce that this will be my last video for tonight, simply because I've been relatively preoccupied with several things today (Not just these videos), and I promise that I do have a few pieces of World Showcase music that will be uploaded tomorrow. When I return tomorrow, the first of a couple area loops, from the Japan pavilion (1982-2012), will be uploaded, followed by the original Germany loop, as well as an extended loop of the music of Mexico's El Rio Del Tiempo (River of time) Fiesta scene. And later tomorrow, there will also be a few Magic Kingdom videos for various attractions, including a couple 10 min small world loops. I hope you enjoy this classic loop!
