@6:00 it’s already confirmed that the cia analyst from the first movie is coming back. Chris McQuarrie posted a photo of him in a cabin (presumably a snowy cabin) during filming so yeah not a hot take I’m afraid
I am with Blessing. I am a big Mission Impossible 3 fan. Also if I remember correctly MI:3 did not contain any scenes of Ethan stealing the rabbit's foot. There is a scene where they plan and then it cuts to him jumping out of the building. This could be like the scene from inside the "heist".
Once you get over the fact that it's not Fallout, which is probably the best part 6 of any franchise that has reached that milestone, it is pretty good. Everyone acts in line with how we expect, there are some cool returning favorites, and it really seems like the good guys could really lose. And the big jump was the headline grabber before it came out, but the ending train sequence is far more entertaining to me than a lot of other stunts in many of the movies.
I Glad That Tom Is Giving Us One Final Run As Ethan Hunt🔥🔥He’s The GOAT🔥🔥I Wouldn’t Be Surprised After This He Make Announcement That He Coming Back For More.Awesome Reaction.
NOTICE ⚠️⚠️⚠️‼️ , THERE ARE NO MORE REBECCA FERGUSON'S ILSA FAUST CHARACTER THAT WE ALL LOVED IN THIS UPCOMING FILM ‼️ SHE ALLREADY DEAD AND BECOMING A CORPSE ☠️☠️☠️💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞
First off, you guys totally are on target with: "Fallout" is the BEST action movie EVER; "Dead Reckoning, pt. 1" is my least fav of the entire franchise (yes, I liked #2 better); and, I will never forgive Cruise/McQuarrie for HOW they treated Rebecca/Ilsa's departure--BRING her back, dammit! Now, to the Teaser. Very exciting...again, nobody alive today does action better than Cruise/McQuarrie. And, yes, "Final Reckoning" should have been part of the "Dead Reckoning" movie. My guess is the strikes/production halts had something to do with the decision to break the movie into two-parts: to make back the money the crew was paid during the strike? Whatever, it's a really bad idea; because for the first time, Cruise can be accused of "milking" a movie for profits. Storywise, the AI thing is a hole they've dug themselves into, because it's been done so many times, going back to, at least, Kubrick's "2001." I like your idea, that Esai Morales gives a "face" to the villain that AI represents--but, honestly, he's not threatening enough for me. An actor the size of Alan Ritchson or (of course) Jason Momoa is what's needed--though Ritchson & Momoa already played the part in the "Fast" franchise. Going forward, I've been posting everywhere, I hope they make more Mission Impossible films, with Ethan/Cruise taking on the role of the Director of the IMF. At the beginning of each subsequent film, as a call-back to the original tv series, Cruise will select a mission team by looking through a book of resumes/skills, or video clips. Each film will have a different cast--though some may appear in more than one movie. It will be a chance for a lot of different actors/actresses to appear in a top-notch action film; as only Cruise/McQuarrie can make. And, Cruise can be in as many scenes as he wants, and makes sense for the story. Hollywood: are you listening?
Mission Impossible 2 is WAY worse than Dead Reckoning for just the slow motion scarf catch alone. That said, I do agree with you about one thing: I hated Isla's ending in the movie. I heard Rebecca was doing some other things, so she couldn't be on the movie for as long (I think she was filming Silo and Dune really close to this), but they still didn't need to kill her off. Incapacitate her, sure, to justify her not being in the movie a whole lot, but kill? Nah.
Fallout and Dead Reckoning are pretty mid. McQ has been going through the motions since Rogue Nation because he can, which itself was solid but not necessarily the greatest thing ever. It had great boots on the ground pacing and visuals without losing the (simple) plot, like MI3 but with better direction, a cleaner script and no shaky cam, it also wasn't the fun camp send up that is Ghost Protocol, tone was grounded just enough. Characters and performances weren't yet relegated to cheap trick plot devices, embarrassing melodrama sans character development and we didn't languish on so many horrendously boring set pieces, flashbacks & flashforwards, generic shootouts or turgid wide shots with no tension or interesting plot development (because Tom did stunts for real, for real) -- Opera house to Water Vault to Bike Chase to Solomon in a box -- still peak filmmaking for McQ's run. Dead Reckoning and Fallout were great theatre experiences with great moments but they don't come together very well. Also Solomon is an unused wet fart of an antagonist that is neither a boogeyman nor tangible, creepy but never sinister or threatening. I like Cavil but he's yet to to loosen up and give a great performance in nearly anything and in Fallout he is a cardboard cutout of a thug. Sure the bathroom fight scene is fun. The fall from Hoffman has been significant to say the least though. Ferguson is definitely the bright spot in all of it. Nothing in the franchise contends on the all time front against 'pure' action greats, that's not to say they are not consistently bringing great action but Mission Impossible is more broadly a thriller (spy/adventure) with action in the chamber. They are closer to Indiana Jones or James Bond films but amped up. They are less deliberate than pure intimate genre exercises like Fury Road or John Wick or maybe The Raid. The action in Casino Royale or recent films like Finchers' The Killer or Saulniers' Rebel Ridge is arguably more engaging and stylish in many cases. Top Gun Maverick is still the quality bar for modern Cruise, genre notwithstanding.

Man can you imagine if that CIA guy from the first movie is revealed to be the major villain all because Ethan screwed him into his villain arc. 😂

Dead Reckoning was good and so much more fun on a second go around.

I specifically came to this trailer reaction to here what Nick had to say about Tom Cruise running a lot 😂
Smart of them to ditch the "Part 2" in the title
These movies are just so damn good
I'm convinced Tom Cruise could beat all of us in a foot race at any given day, no matter how much conditioning and training we go through.
Got big Indiana Jones vibes from the trailer

@@jean-lucpicard2914 Great points about all the films.
