the day after watching your beginner's guide, I went to my local craft store and got all the supplies I needed. a day later and I finished my first project in years! I only stabbed myself once (that llama mouth and nose almost killed my motivation)... after 5 hours of work (it is now 1am, I just had to finish it) my lazy llama turned out better than I expected :) thank you for your amazing tutorials, I'm going to try many more of them~
Hi Philipa, Thank you so much for your videos. The detail you give in the explanations is invaluable for beginners like me. I tried one of these Llamas as my very first project felting, but I didn't have a pipe cleaner so I made the neck shorter & fatter so my llama turned out to be a lasy sheep. I'm so pleased with the result. Thanks again for the tutorials.🐑🐑😂
Thank you so much for all your videos. They are so informative and helpful. I can't want to make my own lazy llama. I just started felting and your videos are helping me so much. You are awesome!
I loved your idea about using coasters to help with the “flats”! I ended up making my own with balsa wood to have a flat and curved edge, game changer.
Hi Philippa, I am super brand new to felting and this was my first project after watching a number of your videos. I love the wonderful animals you make and look forward to making the highland cows. My lazy llama (alpaca) turned out fantastic. Thank you so much for the videos.
So cute! ♥️So I’m new to your Chanel! And I just love it! And I can’t stop watching your tutorials and other videos, now I have to buy stuff so I can start felting😍 I usually chrochet alot and some knitting 🌸 hugs from Sweden!
Thank you, that's very kind and I really hope you enjoy felting, carded wool is a lot easier to start with so do look for a starter kit with carded wool x
I love this! I am very new to felting (I've made 2 projects so far 😅). I made a sheep but he looks like a freshly shorn sheep 🤪. I will try this technique to add wool to him too. Thank you!
Thank you so much! I watched a more recent video (Sept. vlog?) where you showed a lamb made with pink yarn. So adorable! Do you have a video where you show how to do that style of yarn coat? Again, thank you!
I think you mean the one with cut wool, I do a grey one in this vlog, sort of shows it, I haven't done a full tutorial yet on it but you get the idea hopefully x ua-cam.com/video/ir17QcWAijg/v-deo.html
How can I find tutorial on that wool technique over top? I can't get how to do it from that short example? Or what's it called so I can look it up? I'm in middle for daughter very frustrated
It's very easy, I do show the technique up close, you simply loop the wool by about 1/2 an inch and felt in, that's all you do, maybe pause the video. I do very similar on this video if that helps x ua-cam.com/video/MPzEosNYOw8/v-deo.html
It's a lovely felted one, in my Mats, tools and needle video there's a link in description to the lady that makes them, really good mat, thanks for watching and enjoying it x
Hi Phillipa, thanks for another great video. Please could you tell me what sort of thickness knitting wool I should be looking for? Why does it have to be rreal wool? Also where do you buy you pink wool from for noses etc. All the ones I have looked at seem to be more Barbie pink than flesh pink! Not sure the Llamas would look too good with fluorescent noses! Sorry for all the questions.
Hi Sharon, no problems, good questions, the wool is chunky or super chunky (don't have an actual size), it won't felt to the wool base if it's not mostly actual wool and in my description is link to The Felt Box on amazon, the colour is nude, nice and light pink. Glad you enjoyed it and take care x

Genius idea for using two pieces of cardboard to get nice edges on thin pieces....could have saved myself so many poķes by now 😅
Yes, makes it pain free! Take care 😊x
Grumpy llama is definitely like my llama was, she would throw her ears back any time we went to work with her. Thank you for this video!
Aahh, thank you, I work with horses and it's the same, ears back, grumpy! X

This is soooo cute! Thanks for sharing such good tips... really enjoyed 😊
Thanks so much 😊x
Lovely, thank you.
Thanks x
Have you thought about Camels? I would love to do pigs as well.
I think they would be a great idea, something for my list x
Love these guys. If you are doing a dark brown or black coat, would you still have a white/cream face?
No, I'd definitely go black for black coat and lighter brown for brown, glad you like them xx
Thank you for this. Have been wondering if you could use knitting wool in felting. Brilliant video.
No problem, it's very easy, has to be wool wool not an acrylic mix x
Love it❤️
Thanks so much x

High do you have a tutorial for a hare laying down. Many thanks Lyn
I'm afraid not, one day I will but just working through a list, thanks x
Shame I will look forward to ii if you do one I am only able to follow videos and not written instructions 👍

What are you using for those beaded eyes? I couldn't find a link. Thanks so much. You've been such an inspiration!
Sorry, they are from celloexpress on etsy, they have lots of great eyes x
Love watching you ! Thank you 😊 for keeping us all learning 😊 which mat are you using? Looks great!
It's a lovely felted one, in my Mats, tools and needle video there's a link in description to the lady that makes them, really good mat, thanks for watching and enjoying it x

@@feltsbyphilippa Thank you so much again. XX
❤️
Are the yarns you use 100% wool?
Yes, if not mostly wool, then it felts easy to the base x
I think i might do this exept it will have legs
