    I just bought the CX50 and i tried to check the adaptive lights when stationary and it did not work. It's only after watching this video that i got to know it works only when moving. It's amazing that you go into such detail in your reviews. Really appreciate it!

    Mazda has never been generous with the lighting, but that's a really good-looking vehicle.

    The black hole in front of the bottle holders is for your heat. The light for the glove box is directly obove the visor. Very Euro, nice touch.

    Just 1 single ambient "moon light" led over head would've done a world of difference. Our 2018 CRV had one & it's all you needed to get a good feel for where everything was in the center console.
    IDK why manuf. doesn't put the trunk light on top like the new Rogue. These lights on the side of the trunk always look like an after thought.

    You can’t always take people flashing you to mean that your headlights are aimed too high. I have LED headlights and I had an accident and had to have the front end replaced. Only had the car about a month before I had a fender bender that destroyed my headlights and front bumper cover. Anyway once I started driving at night more on highways where there is no center divider between myself and the oncoming traffic I would occasionally get flashed. And I drive Uber and always asked people why they usually flash people. And the majority said I only flash if it’s obvious they’re high beams are on when they are coming straight toward them. But a good number of my passengers said they also have a hard time discerning whether the newer cars are driving with their high beams on or not simply because of how bright they look even in low beam mode. And I have had my lights aimed lower and lower to the point where I could hardly see more than 20 meters out in front of me. And I would still get flashed occasionally. So what I think is happening is sometimes people are just annoyed with the newer LED Headlights. Because I even had a few older people tell me they hate the led lights and sometimes flash them just because they bother their eyes when they’re driving toward them. In high beam or low beam. I had the lights re-aimed professionally at a shop with the guidelines for my lights and car type. And now I can see great again and still get flashed about the same. Which is usually about 1 or 2 times a week. And it’s funny because it often happens when I’m coming up a hill or over the top of a hill. Now don’t people understand that the angle of your lights changes depending on how your car is angled? Anyway maybe it’s not obvious to everyone. Also I would have to say as someone who had led headlights in my last car but without the adaptive curve feature, I really do love having it now. When your lights are aimed correctly which is a bit lower than what this car in this videos are aimed. Then the turning feature really helps. Especially on very dark long sweeping turns. It gives you just enough of a distance boost for your vision ahead in the turn. And you really don’t notice how much it’s helping until you go back and drive a car with these same type of lights but without the turn ahead feature. Which is completely obvious once you’ve experienced it. You realize how much you miss without the feature. And I’m all about having as many additionally safety features as you can have. They add up to a very comfortable driving experience that is safer for everyone around.

      I agree that the adaptive headlights are great on curvy country roads and help to see deer better on turns.

    Front blinkers are fine. People seeing you from the front are never that close that they can't see those flashers. Think about it. Those drivers are in oncoming traffic which is always at least 15 feet away or more. Notice they put the rear turn signals up high where people will be close to you so they can see it. It's perfect.

    Listen 👂🏾, I can tell when it’s a Mazda approaching… their headlights, to me, gives the bests combination of purple and blue hues with no hint of yellow and illuminates well on streets vs Acura’s Jewel eye headlight system both to me are the best… that’s exactly what I want oncoming traffic to see… I hate the open reflector led solution most car manufacturers are using for cheaper options… can’t beat projectors combined with the right color temp👌🏾 it’s magic 🪄

    What is the function of parking lights. In 60 years of driving, I have never used them.

    • @MikesCarInfo
      @MikesCarInfo  Рік тому +1

      Parking lights are designed to increase a vehicle's visibility to others when parked in poorly lit areas. They are especially useful during dusk, dawn, or in foggy conditions where a parked car might otherwise be hard to spot.

    Geez~ just sayin’ This kid w/ the light issues OMG, he’s the perfect candidate for the crappy aftermarket LED lighting w/ 80k color oscillations strips everywhere. I just picked up the 24’ Mazda CX 50 Meridian. W/ today’s pricing and lack of quality of a lot of the build quality in other autos, for its price range the Mazda CX50 It is incredibly built and gives you all the lighting necessary without extra wires in places they don’t belong. Minimal shorting out point over the lifetime of the auto. CX50’s interior lighting system is extremely functional w/out any garish glare or obnoxious overkill. Ex: if you need extra lighting use the mirror light or touch one of the over head lighting buttons,he praises at the end of the vid, and you’ll be able to light up the whole cabin. As for the rear not having 4 lights (a nice sting of pink lights would do him fine) I can attest on a pitch black dirt road, the two rear cargo lights not only saturate the ground where you are standing (in case you drop anything like his phone or M&M’’s) the light on the hatch illuminates a full 3’x 5’ rectangle of light allowing you a full dispersal of ground coverage as well as storage compartment. All w/ out the aftermarket pink color-bomb strip he prolly has on his bicycle he rode in on…

    I wouldn't buy the CX-5. I bought a new 2021 Mazda CX-5. I believe the CX-50 has the same engine. It has burned engine oil from day one and getting progressively worse. I looked up and found a bulletin for my car to be repaired. I took it in and they agreed that my car fell under that bulletin according to the VIN but, that I had to wait for the engine light to come on. By my calculation that won't happen until one oil change after my warranty is up. I only have 15,000 miles on it. Worse yet is that the UA-cam posts from Mazda or it's dealerships take out negative reviews. Sleezy. Don't take a chance and buy Mazda’s. They don't stand by their products.
