As an electrician, doesn't matter how many wires go to the box, that doesn't necesarilly mean that one of them is for that switch. All of them could be constant power jumps to the various other things also on that particular lighting circuit. The first step is to take the switch off and see if something is even connected to it. Second is to track down what each wire going to that box even does. You can do that by turning off the breaker, then unsplicing the wires. Turn the breaker back on, use a tick tester to find the hot-in wire, then touch the hot-in to each of the hot-out wires. If there's a mystery wire, then maybe opening up the wall would do something. It'll also help greatly to know which direction the wire is going so you don't just make random holes in the wall. Then you'd also have a wire to follow. If there isn't a mystery wire there, then if it really bothers you, we could put a small box there instead and get rid of the second switch.

The fact that ot controlled the outlet in a DIFFERENT apartment is TOO Priceless XD
It makes me to watch FRIENDS again and again 😂😂😂
I always agree with Rachels’s “points” 😂
3:06 oh god😭😭😭😭😭
The wires have come loose in your head! 😂😂
Monica is hilarious. 🤣
Hi I loved how Monica kept flipping the switch & it's at Joey apartment while phoebe & joey are watching TV 👋🤔😂😅♥️
Wow Rachel's headlights were definitely on in that green sweater. No wonder I watched this show as a kid 🤣🤣😂
Or the switch was turning her on and off !
I kept reading comments to see if anyone else noticed. Absolutely gorgeous. Love that green sweater😃
The switch turns on some lamps alright!!
"I don't care. The wires have come lose in your head." Nice one, Rachel.
:54 Judging by Rachels anatomical reaction... the switch controls the heat.
Phoebe the television controlling Genie 🧞 😄
I love Monica with all of my heart
I keep repeating the video just to see Joey and Phoebe ❤️❤️🤣
Joey and phoebe can never be taken serious
Gotta love it. Rachael is wearing two shirts and still able to point.
Must be cold, Rachel...
How can you not care?

While I saw the promos for it in 1994 (the ones where they didn't show any actors but kept talking about being "friends"), I never gave this show a chance, then I saw this in the summer of 1999, and realized I had missed out on a really good show. Of course when I watched the early shows, they weren't as good. It definitely got better as time went on, and I'm kind of glad this was the first show I saw of the series.
Ok, even though Monica didn't want to switch apartments, Monica made Chandler and Joey's apartment look so pretty! I like it better, not so many different colors in just her living room. I love older homes and apartments, they have more character to them and thicker walls, not like how thin the walls are in newer homes and apartments now. Monica made Chandlers apartment look cozier and comfier, love the Earthy tones. 😊❤️
❤ i totally agree sweety
As a kid this was a funny scene. Now as an electrician, it blows my mind someone could wire that wrong
The wires have come loose in your head. 🤣
THE Best Series ever!! I’m the same age as all the characters on the show and sooooo could relate every week I watched it. Good times!!!
The way Rachel made that gesture its how indian parents use the language on the kids 😂😂😂who don't study. 2:11 . "The wires are loose in your head" 😂😂😂I was lmaoo
i love that monica is reading “A Hole In The Head” when rachel gets home 😂
Aaand Monica is reading a book titled " Like a Hole in the Head " 😂
