  • Hey everyone..welcome to PART FOUR on my series of edible textures for cakes. This week we are looking at a couple of different ways to create FUR. There are so many different types so I focused on long, short and patterned...none using an impression mat! Hope your find it useful and as ever please feel free to ask any questions below.

    How do you do all that without it drying?

      @@zoeburmester4132 texturing. It must take a while and fondant dries fast

      @@peninah.l.wambui5281 there are lots of ways around it. Sometimes I work in sections so cover the cake in patchwork pieces of fondant that are already textyres. Other times I blend modelling chocolate into the sugar paste which gives it a much longer working time. I always wrap the cake in plastic wrap if I need to take a break and come back to it and that helps with the drying out issue. :)
