I love my unit and I took 2 4 foot 2x6 planed them down and mounted aluminum angle iron to them to act a rail which keeps the unit above screw heads and tracks very smoothly. I put a door hinge in the middle so I can go from 8 feet down to 4 feet instantly and pack it into my truck easily. Again really like using this thing. Now however I have a bunch of gorgeous beams that I need to find a purpose for so that my wife doesn't kill me.
What type/size saw are you using? I just bought the Haddon LM and I have a Stihl MS261 with a 20" bar - I hoped I could get a 25" bar and new ripping chain but haven't been able to find one with the pitch/gauge combination I need...? I'm grateful for any help... re: the wife - I'm in NE TX, if your close I'll take the beams and you can tell her I bought them - always willing to do a favor..
i have one of these. great tool but the set screws are backing off and i have lost 2 screws and no idea on where to buy replacements. other than that it is a great tool and you can`t beat the quality on a original Haddon
What happens when the chain becomes loose?

Remember that when mounting the Haddon to the bar to not pinch down on the chain channel...
Dale, Been thinking about buying the Alaskan mill or the haddon. After using the haddon do you think it is better then the Alaskan.
Mr Lahey?
Well Done
No one talks about the other set of screws, on the opposite side.
They are for mounting with the screws that go all the way through. They have no threads.
