I was fortunate enough to meet Andy Muller during the cab inspections. I knew who he was from brief glimpses of him in videos, one from 1991. I've followed the progress of his railroad since the beginning and felt as if I knew him even though we'd never met before. What a great railroader. He posed for pictures, shook people's hands and chatted with anyone who cared to talk.
@@piedmontdistrictrailfan1741 His physical plant is mind boggling let alone all the equipment he owns. He told me that he and his family always liked trains. Lots of people like trains, but few built a rail empire like he has.
Great video! I really enjoyed you telling us about the history. You have a great voice to listen to. Thank you for sharing this amazing video of a beautiful locomotive.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video! 2102 sure has an amazing history. Hard to believe that it's spent much more time pulling excursions than it did pulling freight back in the steam era!
Jackson, just like your great mate Rowan, this is a great video, love the narration, concise and to the point without it being intrusive. Long live the 2102. Much love from Down Under and God speed. Cheers, J.
I bet! Such a beautiful whistle! I'm glad we were able to hear both of them on Saturday. I'm glad you had a great time on board; I'd like to ride behind it myself sometime.
@@piedmontdistrictrailfan1741 Hey mr jackson! I wish you could post videos more often. You are an excellent narrator and you are so full of rail road wisdom. Ive learned so much about the rail road from you sir. Thanks buddy! TGBTG!!!
While in Jim Thorpe 2102 was disconnected from the train and the public was invited to tour the cab. Then a quick photo run by was performed with 2102 solo before connecting onto the train for the return trip to Outer Reading. Andy Muller is excellent at public relations as well as running his railroad. It's amazing all that he's accomplished. This trip went off on time without a hitch. 2102 performed flawlessly.
He sure is great at public relations, and the trip sure did go well. What a great railroad! The whole weekend I was thinking about what it would be like there if it was still Class I trackage. I think there wouldn't be much business, some of RBMN's lines would be gone, and there certainly would not be any steam excursions, beautiful stations, or green-painted diesels.
A very nicely done video. Loved the clarity and full sound of 2102 working hard, but is there anyway to eliminate some of the clicking sounds? I'm hearing a lot of this lately from other railroad videos as well.
Glad you enjoyed the video! The clicking sounds can't be eliminated; that's me and the other people around me taking still photos on our cameras. Most of the locations I was at in this video had dozens of people taking photos. I really enjoy photography as well as videography, and I plan on making a Flickr page where you can see my photos soon!
2102 has two whistles. The first is a Reading 6-chime, used on Reading passenger engines, and the second is a Reading 1-chime, used on their freight engines. The 1-chime is what 2102 and the other T-1s had in revenue service.
@@piedmontdistrictrailfan1741 Thank you for the info. I had no idea American steam engines "this modern" had single chime whistles. The single chimes I ever heard were from 4-4-0s from the 1800s. 2021's single chime sounds similar to German engines.
Thanks for the Strong 💪 Efforts with this Video. 👍
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. I put a lot of work into this video!
Awesome video of 2102!
Thanks!
Hey Jackson I like the new intro thanks for sharing
Thanks Michael! Glad that you like it! Thanks for watching!
Jackson you’re welcome

That's awesome! It's amazing what he's done to transform the lines his railroad owns.

This was great, enjoyed hitting the rails with you bud, keep the chase alive 💪🏾
Thanks dude, and heck yeah, it was great being up there with you this weekend!
Excellent camera work and nice narration. Also, I'm always impressed by the Christian influence. We need more of this in today's world.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video!

Much love!
Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed the video. And yes, long live the 2102! Cheers!
I was on the excursion yesterday and there was a palpable buzz all day. Half of our car was stoked when the 6 chime was blasted for the first time.
I bet! Such a beautiful whistle! I'm glad we were able to hear both of them on Saturday. I'm glad you had a great time on board; I'd like to ride behind it myself sometime.
The Stack Bark Is Glorious
great narration, photo angles and crisp editing
Thank you!
Great catch of the 2102, the Rambles are back in action since 1991!

Thank you! It was louder than I thought possible there in Port Clinton!
Great stuff
Thanks! I appreciate it.

@@piedmontdistrictrailfan1741 He's a very astute businessman in addition to a railfan at heart. He knows how to make historic equipment pay off.
2102 was at Gettysburg Pa and my dad saw it and there was a wye at Gettysburg Pa too
We rode behind it to Harrisburg back in the 80s. We're going again on July 2.
Nice!
Holy cow I was right next to you at the Wye and didn’t even realize lol!
Oh dang! Crazy how many people were there!

That's where the photographer is taking still shots with their camera, which is also shooting video.

I never knew 2102 had two whistles
Yeah, I didn't expect they'd have both of them on there at the same time!
Wow! The 2102 is bilingual. She spoke "American" and German, at the end.

An experienced fireman would not allow so much smoke.
I think most of that was for the benefit of photographers. I'm sure that the fireman is very experienced.
He also might just have so much smoke as he is putting in more coal for the upcoming incline they are gonna hit so they get over the hill?
Spare the lesson would ya
It just looks ridiculous with all that yellow crap all over it.
That's how The Reading had it painted in service.
