Watching steam locomotives is great pleasure! I ( and not only) in that life, probably was machinist. These locomotives are simply mesmerising . They must have soul.
What a fine and handsome engine.Reminds me of days gone by when my Mom would take us out to Bethlahem PA on the Penn Central when Bethlahem Steel was king.Good ol dys gone by. Msgt/ret USAF Norm
For the majority of the shots I am using my iPhone 13 camera, which I have set to record at 1080p 60fps. The long distance shots are taken on an older Samsung Camcorder, model number HMX-F90
Guy in the yellow CSX vest - if he works for CSX he must be sad that his employer wants nothing to do with steam excursions right now, the last time CSX had steam excursions were Milw 261 subbing for NKP 765 on the New River trains in WV in October 1994. Starting in October 1995, Amtrak Genesis diesels started powering the New River trains instead of a steam locomotive. NS's old steam program also ended Dec. 1994. 1997 to 2007 was a real drought in the east for steam, no steam was running on NS or CSX, and 425 wasn't running on RBMN either. But, steam was running at Steamtown on the Moscow and other excursions. Now, they just have the 0-6-0 26 doing shuttles with diesels handling the longer excursions toward the Poconos and up the Carbondale line. But RBMN has long steam excursions in the summer again. 425 did a few spring/summer excursions like Tunkhannock to Jim Thorpe, and Penobscot to JT but most of the steam excursions were in the fall after 425's revival in 2008.
This is Why I ❤Every American Steam Locomotives/Every American Steam Trains So Much ! !

Awesome video 👍😎🇺🇸🚂
Thank you!
2:59 - is this a normal thing for the excursions?
For Reading and Northern Excursions it is. Although I have not seen many other railroads do it, so it might just be something they do.
@@PANortheasternRailfan Durango & Silverton does it as a summons for hikers at Cascade Springs, but that's the only other place I know
Awesome! What camera are you using to film here.???
