Siesta (kind of a long nap) is a very ingrained custom in some provinces, but not in all the country. In the big cities like Buenos Aires it is most of the times impossible to have enough time to take a siesta or a nap.
Mate is not "grass", they're crushed up tea leaves. It does have health benefits the same way herbal tea would, if anything better. It has vitamins and a lot of potassium, it's very good for cleansing the body.
im actually argentinian and i can bet that the majority of the people here dont think that Argentina is "the best country" or better than USA. except in sports, a lot of people think that when talking about sports!!
+Agustina F It is only in the country side, in the big cities (Buenos Aires, Rosario and Córdoba) of course it isn't, we don't have time to take a nap!
I totally understand you, despite I'm Argentinian I used to hate the mate haha, once it burned my tongue for weeks (very very painful), until i started the university and I got used to it because it helps me to stay awake all the time, I think that's why most of us like (and need) to drink mate at least once a day. Your video makes me feel really happy about my country, thank you!
Dont worry, its normal if you dont like mate, im from argentina and I really dont like it. Theres also a big social aspect in drinking mate, its something best done in groups and not by yourself.
Hi, Im from Mendoza, a beautiful city in Argentina and it was very interesting what you said about our "pride", well i would say that we are not SO proud of our country, we dont think as it is the best country and we cant even be compared with americans pride, they do are proud and very fan of their country. Dont misunderstand what ive just say.. We like our country but not all the argentinians are proud of Argentina, actually it sounds a bit sad, but well things are a bit diferent from what you can see outside..
Me estás jodiendo?
Why aren't you allowed to drink mate? Not even if I do one specially for you? like, you don't share it with no one.. or is considerate like alcohol? I really want to know :)
DelSolNacido The vast majority of the people we've interviewed are returned missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints :) Hope that helps!

Its Interesting how US.American vs Argentine culture is more or less the same as British isles vs Spain or Italian culture.
Those things you'll find not in the capital of our country, Buenos Aires. Except "mate", we drink it everywhere everytime.
Azure Drëam Yeah I remember Mate's huge in Argentina :)
