I've tried to watch this a couple of times, and never really made it past the 1.15 or so mark. Having now watched it all the way through I thought it was fantastic.
There are commenters mentioning this dichotomy between empowerment and vulnerability (as it manifests in this poem), but I think (despite what each individual may take away from the poem or how they may interpret it, cause I don't think there's a singular right/wrong with art) there is a kind of empowerment in allowing yourself to be vulnerable, and what's more, to admit it to a crowd of strangers. Despite the poet's intentions with this poem, addressing one's fears is a pretty powerful thing to do, considering many of us do our utmost to run from them. (Myself included.)
this is her way to vent about the woman. All women all over knows about this invisible other woman. You may not be the man to do shit, but women generally have emotions that can make or break a relationship.. I am guilty of that. To the other invisible woman, was her way of saying what she needed to say, even if she couldn't express it verbally to the real person.
Intimacy is the art of licking wounds! Love this poem! You hit it in the nail... You took my feelings and placed them into worlds. I'm glad in not the only one... I was beginning to thing I was the crazy one!
"Just because I'm a feminist doesn't mean I won't cut a bitch" I want that on my grave
"Intimacy is the art of licking wounds." Wow, that is such a powerful line-good stuff.
"You are temptation after a fight,
"u are lipstick stains, hidden receipts, flowers that don't know my name...u sweetheart are the love poem he said he wrote for me" 👈 relatable af!!!
"dating is like finding the least rusted bear trap that you just might be able to look at for the rest of your life." MY FAVORITE LINE EVER!!!
"what light thru yonder window breaks? it will be your fucking face!"😆😂😂😂
Just because we trust them, does not mean cheating is not still a possibility

The 88 people who gave a thumb down must be the bitches she cut. I loved this. It's got wit, depth, sincerity, & honesty.
Feminist or not, it's normal to have insecurities. Feminism will not erase trust issues. This was not a poem about feminism.
I fucking
