Hi this is a snapshot of my 800km drive from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Krabi in Thailand. It took me 2 days to reach Krabi as I was taking it easy with multiple stops along the way to enjoy the scenery and good food.

When did you do the roadtrip in the video? Seems like a pleasant and quiet ride, especially at the custom border. I'm planning to drive to Krabi as well in few weeks. Any recommendation about the time and what documents to prepare?

Is there any toll from hatyai to Krabi? And how about petrol station? Easy to find along the way?
No toll from hatyai to krabi and plenty petrol stations along the way. It is better to get a Thai SIM card and use waze or Google map to find your way.
How will the tolls get deducted in Thailand? In Malaysia TnG works. But how about in Thailand?
I have only drove from KL to Krabi. There was no toll road up to Krabi on Thailand side. The road are of good condition. I have no idea for other destinations.

Hi the road to Krabi is of good condition. Your car is new. It should be ok. As usual get your car serviced before a long road trip. Drive safe and enjoy!

Hey - nice video. Planning on going to Kuala Lumpur with my family in a weeks time. Is it possible to rent a car from Kuala Lumpur and drive to Krabi for 4-5 days and then back to Kuala Lumpur to deliver the rented car?
Hi most rental cars are not allowed to cross border. For confirmation it is better you check with the car rental company as to cross the border you need to buy insurance for the rental car and perform temporary import/export for that car to get it into Thailand.
It would be easier to rent another car after you crossed Thailand. You can cross the border by taxi.
