I got stuck in a Bog with an M110, REME hooked me up to another Gun & bellied that as well so they hooked us both up on a straight bar to a Cent Wrecker & It pulled us both out with no probs, the power of that Centurion was incredible. Good job Lads 👍👍👍
Watching you work on Abbotts,43's,Chiefs and Cents brings back memories for me. Only advice I can give is to be careful with the K60G engine (Abbott), they had atendency to shear the Scavenge blower drive shaft, which causes the engine to fire once then just turn over (exhaust gases can't get out of the cylinders). If the coolant pump isn't turning (driven off the blower front gear set) then the drive shaft has gone . A hint is a "jumping" rev counter needle as the broken shaft ends drag (rev counter is powered by the tacho gen on the input side of the blower shaft.
When engine compartment and accessories is rusty it is needed good knowledge how to handle it and it seems that you guys are having this knowledge! Keep going 💪 👍👍

Another "success". Good to see another piece of history being brought back to life and preservation. I jumped when I saw you about to grab that freshly welded (still smoking) "adapter" but you must've stopped yourself at the last second. That would've smarted a bit!
That Foden that identifies as a Foden sounds sweeet, but the cross dressing other one needs some tlc, 👍 great video pal, I envy your toy box if you was nearer me I would volunteer my time.

No only because the engine bay is full of petrol tanks.. 💀🔥
Always use heat before the impact to get bolts out in one piece.
Face the lead in off of the socket so it has a better engagement on the fastener
With that impact gun, never hard me thinks...;)

The things that stick in the memory; Cent gearbox oil, OEP660.
There's a man in Shropshire who's got transmissions for cents.
put some diesel/oil mix or wd40 on those bolts in advance, always help!
I've never heard of that cheers Mate
I've used diesel as a lube and protection while doing onshore drilling but never a releasing agent.
It was more a preventative treatment.

You know they were dry, how?
Just how do you cope with Seb being around ?
I'm very surprised that you dont' have the correct sockets for working on British vehicles. How can that be?
I did and then I had all my tools robbed.

Take the extension off the impact gun, you'll be losing in excess of 25% of your power.
When you have the power I got in my hand you don’t need that 25%
