Looking forward to seeing the other videos. It's refreshing to watch a video of someone who is new to the hobby and admits the limited knowledge and wanting to learn. Great find!
First off, welcome to the comic book community! Mike tends to have that effect on people as his enthusiasm is infections…BUT, not many new folks are fortunate enough to show the amazing books you just shared with us. I’m so glad you decided to do this as they are a huge part of comic history. I can’t wait to take this ride and see what other ones you have to show. Thank you! Subbed and ready
I appreciate that! I can’t wait to share the story behind some of these I’ve been having an ABSOLUTE blast learning and jumping into this new found hobby (for me anyways) thanks for the sub and comment
Great find! You're in good hands with Mike at Lunch Money, he's the most honest of the UA-cam comic collectors I follow. Now I'm following you as I can't wait to see more of these gems. Welcome to the comic book community!
Most people when they come into collections like this -the collection is from the 90s and worth little-but you buck the trend- this is amazing stuff and I look forward to seeing more of them -keep them coming
Super awesome start to a collection! I love DC, specifically Batman so those books were super cool. If you ever wonder if a book has any significance to it I would suggest getting the key collector app, it’s helped me a lot with my collecting but be careful because the values on some books aren’t always accurate. Welcome to the community! Can’t wait to see more!
Dude...if you were into cards, you'll have this stuff down in no time! AWESOME BOOKS! It's crazy that a CHARLTON book is in such high grade when the DC and such are a bit more beat up! Charlton was notorious for using very cheap paper stock!! Good to meet ya..thanks for showing the books! I'm a big fan of LUNCH MONEY COMICS as well,Mikes AWESOME 😎
Awesome that’s good to know! I’ve learned more in a week then I’d have ever imagined. I plan to continue learning and collecting moving forward. Seems to be a common them everyone loves Mike!
@@Pocketsfullofcomics I'm a person of extremes, 😂..Mikes channel is nice and down to earth, really fun. And you can tell he still genuinely loves this stuff...still has that kid in there searching for the books that were either lost to time or simply unobtainable then. A place you can feel welcome and just hang out with a very nice person and enjoy his glee and enthusiasm. And I also follow some really intense and manic people who's channels are like a SLAYER concert ...just fast,in your face and really raw about it all. Still love the hobby, but AGGRESSIVELY 😆😂😆... What can I say? I'm a strange guy!!
Welcome to the community. Even as a long time collector I don't know much about golden age books myself. But there are plenty of people in the community that have amazing knowledge of golden age books. Keep making these videos and they will find you. Lol. Great books, can't wait to see the rest. 👊🏼
My dad collected horrors of war cards so interesting my son and i are starting to collect comicbooks specifically marvel silver and bronze age good luck with your channel
It's not easy to find collections of Golden Age books these days, so nice find. GA horror books are hot right now, so those Chamber of Chills books (or any other horror titles) should be interesting. And all Joker covers from that era (and beyond, really) are good to have.
Hi! I’m a lunch money comics viewer too! Cool collection man, hope you can help the owner like you want to. Already subscribed. Hope you upload more videos showing more of this incredible collection, cant wait.
Beautiful books man! Welcome to the community. I’m looking forward to seeing the rest. Ryan at automatic comics is also really knowledgeable with golden age comics.
Thanks for sharing this, I’ve not been collecting comics for long (about 2 years ) but these are absolutely incredible! I also learned 99% of my knowledge of comics from LMC too 😁
Great comics love the batman , superman and especially the detective with joker cover dead envious and all star comics which lasted 56 issues In the golden age I have a couple of issues of this run with the jsa but very hard to find
What a collection! Those are some golden age gems and love the Wonder Woman… I was new in the community not long ago so wanted to say welcome and definitely keep the content rolling!
If you any help determining the value of the comics, please feel free to reach out to me. I also have a youtube channel where I focus on Golden Age comics.
Nice, a fellow Star Wars fan ✊🏿 I'm not so much into the trading cards or toys, but I love the comics & movies of course lol That Superman is dope! Beautiful Yellow cover with the iconic Superman pose and red trade dress. I'd suggest buying some mylar bags for the Superman & other books you're looking to display. It will make them pop! Especially the yellow
Very cool collection you’re going through! WW 21 might be a little rough but it’s still presents well. One of my fave WW covers. Hope you keep showing more of the GA books 😁
This my kind of content! Killer books! That's first appearance of the second Blue Beetle! May I request horizon aspect? We will get see more of the awesomeness! Some hood sites for info Cvr Price for past raw sales and Grand Comic Book Database for interior info. I'm going put a link on my channel to easy spine roll removal!
wait, you buy a collection, you bag and board them, but you don't take ownership of them? Shouldn't matter that it's a family member. And kind of concerned that you said, 'He let me take some home...' Didn't you buy them? You should take all of them home.
I did not buy them. I’m helping bag, board, and protect them. The ones I’ve taken home were gifted to me. Moving forward I’ll either acquire the collection(purchase it from him) or help him sell it. Still working on what he’d like to do with them all.
Very cool!! For as long as I've been collecting (since the early 70s), I've never actually seen a golden age comic, never actually held one... I'm so envious! Thanks for showing!
