Lysanna Growing old is inevitable and the more time you spend dwelling on it, the more time you waste... That's really what this song's about, wasting time and regretting it as you get older (or at least that's my interpretation of the lyrics)
I would not recommend focusing on the things that can't be done, or anything of that nature. It is good to have an understanding of limits, but also knowing where there is a way to work around and excel. Also maintaining a vast level of fiery passion, one can remain young forever. However it is not time that is the scary thing here; it is what you do(or do not do) with it. Freezing in fear of the inevitable is rather pointless, but I utilize it to push myself forward. Hope this has been helpful, rather than potentially otherwise.
Totally not what I get from it. Learning I can control the world around me. Wanting to erase the moves I made that shifted the world not knowing I was creating it. So fitting this appeared for me around 2020 an the world had turned to a ghost town; an whatever operates the humans flesh shells had brought them to me to say I was doing it

I personally think this album is a true Masterpiece.
Chelsea Grin made more than writing successions of breakdowns, they write songs.
Production is perfect, so much more mature than the average deathcore band.
Their album is beautiful, rich, dense and varied as a progressive and epic piece to listen as a single block.
That video is very poetic, simple but with a touching message.
Long live Chelsea Grin, I hated this band before "Ashes to Ashes", but this album far surpasses anything that will be released this year in the genre.
The music is generous to simply put it.

i wish there was more people who would just appreciate the change a band makes. A lot of bands i listen to has changed their style/sound so much, yet i usually end up still liking it. No matter the change, they will still have something that only they do. No band actually sounds the same, especially when it comes to vocals. Every vocalist has their own sound and style and makes it unique.

Yes. This album is so good. Sellout, Ashes... ...To Ashes, Letters, Clockwork, Angels Shall Sin And Demons Shall Pray. All very beautiful songs. You've got a good taste in music.

***** Yeah they need to go back to that! This song(Clockwork) in particular was very well written, but it lacked what CG has always been about. It was very atmospheric and melodic, which is great, but damn did it need some evil riffage and dissonance.
Frankie V I feel you, I'm a big fan of their old stuff. DOE was great, but just as a songwriters point of view I don't think one chord chugging throughout an album is anything too impressive, even though it can sound amazing. This new album is just their best material all around I think.

Coming off the Evolve EP, (which i grew to love) and knowing Jason Richardson is in this band, I can't believe some people actually thought this album would be similar to DOE or My Damnation where every song is basically a breakdown for 4 minutes lol.

This song holds so much emotion throughout the whole song, within all its fluent ups and downs. This song, and this band, is the real deal! Seriously makes me tear up listening to it. Ill never forget seeing them play it live.

Thank God these guys are finally getting on the music scene and really maturing as a band. I hope they don't progressively get softer, because they do this really really well. Their old albums (to me, besides evolve) sound like trash. It's like a dying pig. This album was really well done. Just my opinion.
