he has no idea what he was talking about the only reason McDonald's is still around after all these years or at least when I was growing up in the '80s was because the quality was good for the price you paid that's the reason why during the late 90s and early New millennium they created the value menu because McDonald's Created a campaign to focus the image of the business was basically the poor man's burger joint, kids in college with small amounts of money, Poor people that struggle to pay their bills, big families that want to feed many kids quickly for a decent amount of money that was the image McDonald's created for itself it was a family restaurant with good food to feed your children or yourself for a decent amount of money from the '80s all the way to the early New millennium, but somewhere along the line they wanted to start going into the McCafe and all these " premium " items, I can remember when the mighty wings first came out and they were like $2.50 per wing nobody, not even places that were specifically chicken wing places sold wings at that expensive of a price back then the CEOs that took over the business within the last 10 to 15 years did not understand the image that McDonald's had created for itself for nearly two decades or longer and they were insulted by that, recently the CEOs made a statement saying that nobody looks at McDonald's as a luxury anymore people haven't looked at eating a McDonald's since the place first opened it was a cheap place and it was fast that's the point of fast food you pay a cheaper price and the business does not have to pay for indoor seating it doesn't have to pay for forks it doesn't have to pay for any of that now if they wanted to do that and change the business to where you could sit down and eat and have forks and and cups and all that like I sit down business they're going to pay more money with the minute you pay more money you have to increase the price and if the food quality starts to decline as you increase the price of the experience based on the fact that you were now paying more money than once you have done that's the business owners fault not the customers because they're not coming in droves, they wanted to try to make as much money with as few customers as possible and the number one way you do that increase the price of the product and when that did not work then they began to decrease the quality of the product while continuingly increasing the price of the product so now we're in the state we're in right now with an 18-dollar Big Mac that nobody aside people who have a gun to their head are going to pay for. McDonald's never has been and never will be successful as a fast food business for the rich the corporate execs or the high-end individual. and until the current CEOs get their head out of their ass because we all know they're making more money on their franchise rental fees than they are on the food and as long as that happens they don't give a crap about the food they look at it as well if I make 8 billion dollars a year on my franchise royalties and rent I should be making 8 billion dollars on the food too and if there's not enough people in the world going to McDonald's because we continually increase the price and decrease the quality then the number one thing to do is just increase the price if less people shop who cares we'll just keep increasing the price and if we lose 75% of our current customers then we'll just shut some of the McDonald's around in certain locations down and keep trying to get 16 billion dollars a year instead of 8 billion on our franchise rent and 4 billion on our food. 😑🤷♂️
Tbh, this is the other side of entrepreneurship. Those that are this driven usually don't know how to turn it off. They are driven to go big or drive things into the ground. Once it gets big, it is an incredible high, but changing that is really, really hard. They either keep looking for advantage or try to chase that high again. I'm a big fan of people driving for success. But sometimes it comes from personal demons that success won't exorcize. Gotta have people in your life that can help you see, and especially help you see yourself.

Because she truly at least in the movie, seemed like a really good, kind, and genuine woman who really loved him and stood by him even when he was a nobody.. This is just outright wrong. Mcdonalds in europe tastes much better than here in the usa and has different (localized) menu items. I made it a point to not eat at "american" fast food joints when i was living in italy and traveling across europe, but there were times where i didnt have a choice and i can guarantee you, a mickey D's in the states is very different from international locations. I will say that their fries are consistent across the board, but not the beef nor sandwiches.

As someone who eats more McDonald's than should. The same location can taste wildly different depending on who is working and when you go. I've had the best McDonald's fries and worst McDonald's fries from the same McDonald's
This is just outright wrong. Mcdonalds in europe tastes much better than here in the usa and has different (localized) menu items. I made it a point to not eat at "american" fast food joints when i was living in italy and traveling across europe, but there were times where i didnt have a choice and i can guarantee you, a mickey D's in the states is very different from international locations. I will say that their fries are consistent across the board, but not the beef nor sandwiches.
