Wow! Simply impressive. I remember seeing videos and pictures of these things all over the place when I was teenager... now they are like Easter Eggs... and very hard to find.
Was shocked to see my old 95 Caprice taxi on your show . Had lots of 9C6s but most went for peanuts and are gone. Still have a 96 slicktop and low mileage 95 (38,000 miles) . I'm glad there are folks, who appreciate the rarity of these Chevies.
Wow that truly is rare. Most of the cabs were ex cop cars but this one was always a taxi from the moment it started being built. The bumper and headlight guards are really interesting
Thanks for this. Nobody, absolutely no one collects taxi cabs until you mentioned an actual collector. Kudos to the owner for preserving New York and American history. I remember the NYPD and Yellow Caprices still in service when visiting NYC in March 2003 heavy snow making a U-turn fishtailing. I had a civilian model, a 9C1, and a Roadmaster wagon all 1996 with the LT-1. The General Motors I wish we still had
@@carsofqueens you can see on the quarter panel it used to say Santa Ana also has part of the number on the roof and if you look in the right light you can see the whole thing
Might be the first documented video of one recently! Crazy find
thanks for the support!
What a time capsule. If only this car could tell what it's seen and lived through
it could tell countless stories! the life it has lived and the things it’s seen
Probably seen service during W.T.C 9/11/01 Era..

the rarest easter egg! with 3 in the country known, they will never get any easier to find

Had a '94 police Caprice. It was like driving a tank, but it was really fast with that LT1 engine it had.
That medallion is so cool. The newer ones are so plain
That’s a museum piece
damn right
That aircleaner is from the 5.7 engine!
nice catch!
Yup. The LT1 and L99 and externally identical. Both Gen 2 SBCs
