I wanted a B4U Caprice but I settled for a 1996 Base model with the L99 as the price was right. It had 17,000 miles on it when I purchased it in 2020 and just hit 40,000. (I don’t do a lot of driving). It is still near mint condition. Besides an A/C leak and a new battery, it’s been reliable (knock on wood). I dread the day I have to replace the opti spark. But hopefully that’s not for a long time. If I could find a 1993 in similar condition and miles, I may buy that. I prefer the older TBI engines for reliability. I don’t need speed.
Love the videos Danny. I prefer the lower ride of the impala but I’ve never thought about how the additional travel helps absorb bumps and even let you hop curbs. You’re always giving out some little information I had no idea about. I don’t like to draw attention either as a young driver. My Impala has a nice mild exhaust on it to where I have the pleasure of hearing it but at the same time it is quiet to an extent. Plus I have no awful drone to deal with and that car isn’t loud where it would bother people. Thanks for all the great content and excited to see how the SS project turns out. Definitely black out the wood just because the impala is a generally blacked out car. I’m not a huge fan of the red interior but the inside of that B4U is mean and you should suit your car to your style.
