My brother had one of these same year navy blue but it had some gauges just to the right of the steering column for oil pressure, volts, and water temperature I guess it was installed due to the police package because I've never seen that before in a box chevy but sadly it was stolen and never recovered.
There are RMPs in uptown bronx, a few in staten island and im sure but not sure bk and long isle have them. Great video. The I-talians and I-rish cops kept some in thr family
Wow cool find ! I love these old B body GM cars . I have owned many of these over the years and i own a 81 Oldsmobile Delta 88 sedan . These are very reliable and strong cars .
Restore keep it og preserve it i have a 1996 9c1 live it and have had plenty of the civilian box chevys great cars mine was. Two 1983 and 1986 classics all 305 's
9C1s feel like they are almost extinct. I used to have a black and white 93 when they were easy to find, wish I still had it. I would much rather have a box next time around and I absolutely will settle for regular 305 car.
the car is maybe worth $1000 at most.....just to be nice give more than $1500-$2000 is extremely generous. $3500 for all the basic work it needs just to be regular....no way.
Disagree. It looks like it needs paint, some other cosmetic odds & ends. It probably has the 350 as well, although some came with the 305. $2,500 - $5,000 on the high end. The Crown Victoria’s of the same years.. with the 351 Windsor, they’ll go for even more than this.
Seats not original, missing gauges on the right side of steering wheel, but it is a 9c1 caprice. Not the only one because I own a Miami PD and nypd is no difference as far as rarity. And that one is in really bad shape, I’m sure the suspension is rusted out and has cancer around windows and on the bottom of quarters aswell as trunk and floorboards. If you plan on restoring than it will be upwards of 10k to get it in 10k shape so it’s up to your preference 👍
Those seats are original. The gauges next to the steering column were optional, my ‘88 9C1 doesn’t have them either, albeit it’s a fire department car. Lots of assumptions regarding rust and whatnot. These cars are not very easy to find anymore. Still worth buying for only $3500.
I would drive a caprice classic
over a lambo anyday 🥹
Me too 💯 they are great car's including with Cadillac too❤❤❤
*There may be only ONE NYPD version. But I own o Canadian Police edition. Same package for suspension, rear gear and engine options.*
I don’t think folks realize how hard these are to find. TOTALLY worth the $3,500👍👍👍
Definitely worth $3500. 3.42 gear 8.5” 10 bolt rear end, TBI 350 making 190 hp, 700r4 with corvette servo & parts, all the goodies.

A lot of box chevys had the bumper guards
Btw 3500 is a good deal I would have paid 5k for it
I doubt they heard you 😂 Nice save either way. Excited to see what you do with it.
lol i hope not 😂
I had one same color in 1993. It was an old TPD patrol car. Loved it!
Wow a face reveal! I had no idea that's what you looked like.
Cool video and cool car! Though it's not a video for people with sea-sickness, whoa! So much camera 'waving'.
Lets make a GOFUNDME to LS swap this beauty and restore it.
It will be a nice restoration
That car takes my breath away. Best of the best. If being sold sometime in the future, lmk
I had a blue and white 1990 Caprice from the PA State Police for about a month. Regret selling that beast.

Снимай что-нибудь про ford crown Victoria, пожалуйста.
Love it.
the stainless steel drip edges on the door glass are quite rare.
I got 1 as well 90 4 door 9c1. In wa state 115 on the dash
I have a 9C1 unmarked Caprice.
لاتسوى الا 1500 دولار فقط
I’m curious why they retired the car in 1997 despite entering service in 1990-91?
All departments are different. Some will keep cars for 20 years it depends on how much they are used and abused, the budget available.
When cars was good
How many miles I didn't catch it and what engine does it have thanks 👍
350

Great video by the way!😊
thanks for watching!
Brilliant car) have you ever found a box Caprice 9C6? I always miss them lol
These cars in the body lines on them are amazing you should build a hopped-up 350 and drop it in there
Save the car & restore the cop side of it.
that’s the plan
What does mean RMP ?
How is it the only in existence, there were hundreds stop engaging in hyperbole it detracts from the show.
ok find me another. do it.

Bro. Nypd had a million of these, what makes this one any different than any other 9c1 caprice?
I guess you could try to switch the windows over to power, depending on what you're going to do with it. I got my 86 about 1 year ago.
I have one sitting in my garage if interested
What's your asking price does it run in drive
Repaint it refresh the engine put undercoating under it and some flow masters and ralley tires

Only 1 in existence😬Sorry to inform you. I’m in Indiana and I own a 1987 9C 1 also. Parts are easy to find.
i highly highly doubt it’s NYPD. send me the Vin And i’ll check.
How much u want for it as is??
For sale?

@@noahgaray7923 assumptions? Did you see the body? Come on man you can’t be that dumb😂😂😂
Look bro you might not like donks !? But you might want to turn this car in to a donk 😂 🔥
Lol
And strain the entire drive train and suspension?
